I didn't like the idea of the gravity switch at first, but after I got my sigelei 20w, I love it!

Now it's kind of annoying watching vids with people using their "button" mods clicking away. Click click click click click...

IMO the advantages in usability using two extra buttons are undeniable. I'm "ok" with the gravity sensing on my Seven-22 but "good-mouthing" a specific feature just because you own a certain mod and want to like and defend it isn't really productive. No offense :)

You could also just as well press the plus button down to do the same continued change and speedup as the SX chips. But especially if you "adjust to taste" (increase wattage until you like it best) the gravity sensing is somewhat annoying. You have to hold the mod upright and look at the display, press five times (during which the mod actually fires), press again and take care that you are in the right menu, tilt, watch the menu instead of doing a certain number of clicks, click in the right moment to "insta exit" or stop tilting, click, tilt. Vape.

With a plus button you need about 0.5 seconds to do this. With the gravity sensor it's like 5-10 seconds. It's cheaper, maybe more durable, but that is all it is. It's not better in any way.

Every one I have shown my sx-350 mod to thinks the Gravity switching is way cool...

    I like less buttons myself.

I don't care if it takes 5 minutes to set my pre sets. There are 5 and once setup I can go to one quite quickly.

YiHi will have your switch connection points on the board soon for all the button lovers out there. Don't trip...

I have made mods inside bic lighters that took longer to build than this sx-350 mod did. bic="ship in a bottle"

Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone. I was just trying to argue about this in a rational way because I'd like to know why people defend it. I'm ok with the gravity sensing on my sx220 but I will never ever buy another mod with gravity sensing again.
I simply can see no advantage for it except price and maybe durability, but a big loss in usability. For me it's like a product that is really cool, but makes one mistake that keeps it from "perfection". So if people defend it, it goes against my OCD in a way, and I think it might send a message of "less is ok too" to mod makers. I'm very happy yihi will add the option on request and hopefully will allow both buttons and gravity sensing at the same time. I just want to see as much innovation and high quality products out there as possible, and especially want to see a company like yihi succeed.

Have you seen the video yet where they show how to cycle through the options by tilting to the left or right? I think its cool the way it works. Less buttons can be a good thing. Smd button failure sux. I hope I can modify and down my own logo to the device. Anybody know if there is any other device like this that does vv vw and has a mechanical mode?

Here is a video of how the SX200 menu navigation works. There are likely a couple extra menus in the SX350, but I'd imagine that the way to navigate the menu is the same.

The tilt function is very intuitive and only takes a minute or two to master.

Good news, there's a software update next month that enables the use of buttleons to adjust he settings instead of using the gravity sensor.
No software in the world is going to make you able to use buttons on the current sx-350. The board scheduled to be shipped at the end of may is suppose to have the soulder points so you may add switches. The current board has potting over some of the components and no place for you to add switches. Thinking now... maybe you knew this already and are just saying that the button software will be out too.

Don't know if those will be used, but they are on my board. (Not pic of my board) They are covered by potting compound on the front side under the OLED display, but open on the back side like in that pic. I figured they are I/O ports for future use an engineer put in, but could of course be wrong. They could be test points for QC instead.

Ah ok... yep covered with potting on mine...ever try to solder a wire to the face of a board like that?

You don't want to solder horizontal if you can avoid it. It makes it easier to lift a trace from wire tension. The holes on mine are not filled so I could solder wire in the holes from the back side.

So has anyone seen precise dimensions on these? Looking to CAD up a Mod design for 3d printing....

Follows is what I was sent a couple weeks ago by a YIHI rep. I don't have one yet. Hope this helps and I look forward to what you come up with.

    The dimension of the chips is: 45.5mm x 19.8mm x 16mm
    The dimension of the usb is: 13mm x 17mm x 4mm

The thickness of the board is 1.6mm. The distances between the screen and the board is 4mm. The other is the height of the components on the board. So the total thickness is 16mm.

That doesn't make sense to me. Is the manufacturer going to restrict sales to modders only? Why would they do that? Seems like a logical evolution of the SX chip to be used in devices such as the Seigeli 20W, etc. I would imagine the mod and chip makers would have sufficient demand from those who have not been able to purchase a DNA30 device.

At least that's what I'm holding out for.

I guess I was right, and happily so.
