Been a while since I last posted. I had a little hiatus with the cigs (3 years smoke free and I got hooked somehow) but I'm back in action.

Here's a new mod I've been working on to get me excited about vaping again. It's a new take on my old faithful, which was a 2aa box with an OKR chip and 2 15270's:

Still a standard 2aa box, but now with the aesthetics of a Missy's Wetbox (aerosol bed liner for that texture and a lower bottle position). It's going to have a feeding system very similar to a Reo using a 16g needle splayed to the top of a 510 center post and some 1/16 ID silicone tubing to the bottom of the 3ml bottle. Still using the trusty OKR chip, 15270's, and dome shaped tactile switch.

Just waiting on the rest of my ebay cart to arrive on my doorstep.

A nice take on the classic. I know that nothing lasts forever in the realm of batteries, but how many 15270's does it take to vape a 3ml bottle?

Me too on that one!

15270's? Must go look that one up.

ETA: Do you have an inside shot with the bottle/tube connected to the 510? Curious to see how you handled it.

Awesome you touched my modding heart, I love the aa box mods.

Awesome with the okr in there, had no idea about those wee lil batts thats awesome. You must be building a 3 or 6amp okr?

The break 04050 mod will fit in there, you would need a fet though to use the tact, its a killer aa mod too with the new 13amp 14500's on the market it will will do 39 watts easy. Its hugely underrated on the spec sheet but then again maybe mines on borrowed time but over a year old and still cookin the juices at 28watts daily, 0v sag too.. Ya set it for 5v or 6v it does 5v or 6v up to 32watts then only sags .2-4v cause battery sag, if using lipo no sag to 39 watts.

My vape man break 04050 3.8v-6.2v booster mod

Thanks everyone!

To answer everyone's questions:

I generally go through 3ml's and 4 15270 batteries a day. I always keep a fresh set of batts with me.

The OKR chip is not soldered in place yet. It is going to be a tight fit!

The feeding system is not setup yet, still waiting on parts to arrive. Again, it will be identical to the Reo feed system.

Yes, I use the OKR-T/3 exclusively. The 04050 will NOT fit with a bottle in there (I have tried before). Haven't used a MOSFET with these little tact switches in years and have never had a problem unless they get soaked with juice.

Yeah with the okr ya no need fet.

Just did a rig up.
The 04050 will fit flush on the bottom using the switch area if you take the pins off enclosure and 04050 and some of the battery sled indexer using a http://www.vishay.com/docs/62860/si7157dp.pdf or similar so-8 packaged fet. It leaves the whole channel open for the bottle and wires. I bet you could shoehorn it in there, thats an uber nice okr mod..

I see what you're saying. I like to keep the switch though. Just some added insurance when the mod is in my pocket (caught my pants on fire once, no joke! It was actually a pretty funny incident though).

I do have a 2AA box without a provision for a switch that I could try that out on. Only problem is the cover has to be screwed on or it falls right off. Maybe I'll tinker with it later.

Man, I anticipated the OKR to fit in the mod with a little wiggle room. Absolutely none after de pinning the OKR. Looks like I'm gonna have to dremel the side and move one or both of the batteries over to get the chip to fit. Everything is so close I'm going to wrap a few components with Kapton tape.

There is also the thought of adding a drip well and maybe taking a little more material off the 510 connector, and I literally cut it in half! Or go back to a 901 connector (for the flavor, but cartos are expensive!) to ensure a solid fit.

I'll make it work!

So my original layout didn't work. Not enough room for the chip.

So I just built a regular 3.7v job to hold me over until I can make it all fit the way I want.

Essentially A wetbox with a Reo style feed system and a 200g tact switch. Really happy with the finish on this one and even more pumped about never having to clean out the inside since the new system won't leak.
