I haven't been vaping on it long enough to tell if this coil will hold up as long as a cCell (my go-to comparison for all ceramic coils!) but so far so good! joyetech recommends not washing them in water but instead to just dry burn it and wipe it off (I use a Q-tip) and this seems to restore it nicely.

I don't know where you read the part about Joyetech recommending dry burning instead of washing but I'd like to advise against it.
The ceramic is surrounded by good old cotton as a wicking material, if you dry burn to the point where the ceramic/coil is clean you'll set the head on fire - as I just did.

I think I'll stick to Joye mods and leave their atties alone, they're not good at them imo.

Nobody has the RBA in my neck of the woods, will buy when it's available along with that weird rebuildable notch coil.

I got mine from Fasttech for just over 4 bucks incl. shipping.

Shipping takes ages of course, but it is cheap enough. It'll probably get here around the same time as the tank.

Unless it's any good this is probably the last Joyetech tank I've bought as well. I can't believe they still haven't found a fix for the spitting issues with their Cubis line. They keep bringing out new versions of it that don't improve, and worse, people just keep buying them.

I hope that this one works better for me anyway, if not I have some un-subscribing to do as well :)

I have ordered an Ultimo along with a 5 pack of ceramics and claptons. I also ordered the rebuild-able section. All from US vendors. Hopefully I can try them out Monday. I cant really see this beating the Tornado Nano or Cleito in flavor though, but I hope it does!

Rebuildable from MyVaporStore and Tank + coil heads from MyFreedomSmokes. I had enough credit at MFS to get those free :)

Joyetech just recommends not washing them in water. I have a feeling that is because of the cotton (mold), but I wash all my coils in an US cleaner periodically. I have dry burned the coil I am on a couple of times now with no problem, but that's after I learned the limits of dry burning by blowing a cCell a while ago, lol. YUCK. Now I just pulse at 30 watts and blow the vapor out the air flow holes until there is no more vapor, then pulse for a few more seconds. Then I run a Q-tip down the center to wipe out any sludge. It's been working fine that way for this coil (the first ceramic one I have used in the Ultimo) but I will run it through the US cleaner after a couple more tanks just to see what it does. If I get decreased flavor and vapor I will trash it and install a new one. I am extremely happy with this coil so far. I find it even better than the cCells. Every vaper is different, though, and there is something for everyone! :)

What do you think so far?

I like it!

It's a little different than vaping with a traditional coil and Rayon, It's more of a mesh type of vape.
The ceramic coils provides quality flavor and good vapor production with the MaxVG juice I am using. It's noisy, requires a minimum of 40W to get going and is not really that excessive in it's juice consumption. The drip tip is fixed to the top cap so that could be an issue if you don't like it. Filling it could have been better or easier but that would add to the cost.

I didn't try the included Clapton coil and probably won't, I picked it up for a grab and go RTA with a good coil longevity using the Ceramic's. I probably won't bother getting the RBA deck but I might just for another option.

Overall I am quite impressed!

Nice. I'm excited to try it!

You can actually use tornado nano or cleito drip tips I believe. Unless its different than the review models. I hope its the same, I have a few acrylic tips for it.

Sweet!

The DT is just a sleeve so I never thought about any similar styled ones. When you get get your Ultimo, please let us know which tips you have fit!

Glad to hear you like it @TrollDragon, sounds promising!

Just in case you didn't realize it; you can pull off the driptip-sleeve and use one of your own. Every YT reviewer said it looks a bit stupid with the o-rings exposed but non of them tried to just take the o-rings off and use it with another driptip that way. It might still look stupid that way but that's what I plan to do.

I use the driptip that comes with the optional MTL kit for the Bachelor Nano exclusively on all my tanks (I have 3, 3 more are on the way) and find it more enjoyable then a regular wider driptip personally, so I've kind of limited myself to that one now. It has approximately a 2mm ID so it's much more restrictive than most driptips I've encountered so far.

Neat! I didn't know there were other caps that will fit. I really like the cap that's on there, but it's always great to have options! :)

Thanks for the info, after all the foolishness with the Limitless Plus (No Drip Tip version), I have had my fill of cobbled up looking RTAs. If it works for you then it's all good, just not for me. ;)

I was thinking along the lines of something like this if the Cleito ones fit.

After having played with mine for couple of days can't really complain, flavour is great and I have tried changing from menthol to a sweet fruity flavour without having any issues with muted flavours.
Keeps up @50 watts.
No issues with condensation, but I run mine fully open and try to suck all the vapor out w/out pressing the button.
Do like the driptip and filling is easy.

Are u guys facing any issue with leakage?
I've read and seen few reviews that the Ultimo leaks right after refills.

I was almost placing an order for an Ultimo (thx to the ceramic coil hype) but held back after seeing the leakage reviews..

Would be great to hear how the Ultimo is going with u all.. Thanks.

I have used the Clapton coil (only for the first tank, though) and I am on my second ceramic coil and I have not had any problem with leakage. I do get condensation in the base, but it's not even as bad as I get from most of my other tanks. I am vaping with the air flow closed down at least halfway, maybe even tighter than halfway, so I expect some condensation buildup from that. This tank is rapidly becoming my favorite tank! :)
