Hi

I'm going to upgrade from my old beloved Vivi Nova

Looking at Aspire Nautilus or Kanger Aerotank Mega
(I'm on a Smoktech SID)

But for both, it seems that I have to unscrew the tank from the battery/mod + unscrew the bottom each time I want to refill the juice (bottom refilling).. Correct?
I would have to do this 2-3-4 times a day. A bit of a dealbreaker for me

What could be good alternatives to those two tanks (same/better quality), if I'm aiming for easy TOP refilling?

Thanks

You are going to have to stick to top coil stuff if you want to top fill and there aren't a lot of options out there. It's not practical for bottom coil devices because if you break the partial vacuum by opening a BCC clearo at the top, you create a situation where what you are putting into the tank can flow right out the bottom. Kanger tried this with their UniTank, I think, and it was a miserable failure.

I just realized.. I can just flip it upside down and unscrew the tank only, leaving the tank screw bottom on the mod
Solved! :)
bvc nautilus are great tanks just dont over tighten it as it will be a pita to unscrew it, im speaking from experience here.
back it off at least 1/2 a turn

A friend of mine did that with a mini protank on a ego batt... ended up stripping the thread on the battery by over tightening. It's not hard to take the whole thing off.

I don't agree with "upgrade". Vision Vivi Nova 3 is the best tank out there.

I use the convenient "slots" in the top of the atty to float my CelluCotton wicks.
My favorite coils consist of 30g Kanthol @ 10 wraps (but they don't have to be).

Don't even talk about the ease of rebuilding the atty.
Don't even talk about the satisfaction of being able to fill from the top.
Don't even talk about being able to test flavors almost instantly or put additives directly in the tank and taste the difference within a few puffs.

I have tried Kang, Naut, and a few others - no comparison in convenience, versatility and reliability.

If I were CEO of Vision my slogan would be: "Vision Vivi Nova 3 - Amen!"

To answer your question I would say; currently there ain't no decent alternatives - at least none I've found.

Just pretend that the bottom of the Nautilus is the top. Unscrew, fill, screw back on and you are good to go. It takes about 15 seconds:)

Let's break that down:

Nautilus
1) unscrew Naut from Battery
2) unscrew bottom assembly from Naut
3) fill Naut with juice
4) screw bottom assembly back on Naut
5) screw Naut tank onto Battery
6) check/reset air flow control (on my model the ring moves quite easily)

Note: Trying to reassemble the Naut while leaving the bottom assembly on the battery/mod, is unwieldy and prone to juice spillage, and can lead to permanent damage to the threads on your battery or tank. This is not a manufacturer recommended procedure.

Vivi Nova v3
1) if in a hurry leave tank on battery/mod - unscrew top cap on tank
2) fill tank with juice
3) screw top cap back onto tank

Exactly; that's how everybody does it;

you just
1: turn the mod upside down
2: hold the base of the tank and unscrew the main tank part
3: fill
4: screw it back together.

You don't have to keep unscrewing/screwing the threading on the battery/mod at all.

Also, you do the same thing to change the coil; even to dryburn it.

Currently loving my fogger 4.1. fairly easy to build on, holds a ton of juice, not a top fill but doesn't seem to leak even when in pocket-mode. Sooo...yah. Sadly I haven't found a top fill tank that works as I want it to. Tried Iclear 30s...leaky, problems with gurgles, and just meh in general. Tried the Vivi, worked ok but those tanks are SO dang fragile that after a week or so they always break off and leave me with either a shirt covered in juice or a pocket of juice.

Yeah. Definitely not recommended for Demolition Derby racing or Nuclear Explosion Test sites….
