The black does not look sparkley the blue did , but it is a nice finish and serves the same purpose.

Ohhh, I think I just got giddy! So I am just a little bit girly, I admit it!! The finish sounds nice and whatever you decide, I'm sure most of us will love it
The bottom screw will remain ( low cost stupid easy solution IMO ) the side screw may go but I might keep it for the ground contact , it will make a solid consistent ground for the unit , I may even add one to the Infinity ??
You can also just clip it in the cap. On the top if it ever got bent over to one side you would play heck trying to straighten it. I don't mind the little screw. You could get one of the little tape on screw covers they use on laptops and cover it.
We just have to make sure they use the right taper this time , they use a metric one and it is NOT right we have to recut the countersink sometimes , this can cause the screw to protrude and not let the unit sit flush , Is that what you are talking about Poppa D ?
Yes the bottom and side srew is what I meant.
I think I know what he meant by "side screw" and the only "bottom" screw is at the bottom

The screw in the cap isn't any problem, I think it could be eliminated, that's all.
I only use my Buzz's, mine have been solid performers, they meet my needs perfectly. But I think they could be refined with little effort. In fact the Infinity includes those improvements. If the Buzz were improved in the same manner it could be very, very nice.

Actually the " Improvement " has been a total headache and has had the opposite effect , I am planning on using the BUZZ design for the top cap on the new Infinity ! No More Chinese built connections for me !
I would just add this: I'd like to see the Infinity battery end cap with knurls on it. I find it to be a bit slippery at times. I think I dropped it twice in my last battery change. I would also add my two cents on this: Keep the knurls on the Buzz, maybe even make them more course. The Buzz is like the take to work if you work outside VVPV. The infinity is the elegant one, the special occasion take to a restaurant mod. Let them each have their own niche. I think they both have theri appeal, and each is seperate and different. Keep those differences, don't meld them into PV's that try to do too much.

That is not to say the Infinity is any less durable, only that both PV's have their own niches. Keep the definitions of these two PV's seperate. Each has it's own unique appeal.

The new coating or sand blasting will give very good slip protection vs the knurling , Many people did not like the knurling from the start so I am addressing that issue and keeping a good slip free surface .
I think a light knurl on the Infinity bottom cap is a good idea .
