I just received my first V4L order, 24 hours after I placed it. I didn't realize V4L was also here in IL, but even if I had, I wouldn't have expected it that quickly.

I've been dripping with my 510, and while that's not too bad, I want something I can use while driving, something that's easy to use while out and about. Even at home, there are times when I just want to grab something and vape without having to fiddle with it. I thought cartos might be the answer, so I ordered some empty ones from another company. I received them a week later, along with a pre-filled one. Now, I may not have filled them correctly, but even the pre-filled one lasted less time than it takes me to smoke a cig. Some people here on ECF suggested that the prob may be the adapter since I'm not using a KR8 batt, but nothing I did to try to fix the adapter issue worked.

I decided I was done with cartos until I read about the V4L premium ones and decided to give them a whirl. I bought chocolate and cola, and I've only tried the chocolate so far, but the flavor is very nice, and good TH as well. There are no issues with the adapter. The vapor is far less than I'm accustomed to with my 510, but I'm getting a little and that's enough for me. (Frankly, I don't think vapor on exhale really matters--it doesn't have anything to do with how much TH or nic I'm getting--but I'm currently still smoking, and my mind expects to see smoke/vapor on exhale, and it's my mind I have to conquer to quit.)

Now I just need to test how long cartos will last me and learn to refill them. If both prove successful, I don't know that cartos will completely replace dripping for me, but I do think I'll be using them regularly and recommending V4L and cartos to other newbies.

So thanks, V4L, for a superior cartomizer.

might also be that on cartos, at least, lots of us are long-soft-draw-ers (did i just call us drawers? maybe only funny if you grew up in the country, lol)... i get quite a lotta vape myself on cartos, but prob take 8-10 second drags (or uh, till cutoff, lol) consistently. welcome to the club darlin!

I have furniture disease... :(

My chest done dropped to my drawers! ;)

LOL y'all! Drawers, indeed. :D Don't let the location fool ya--my childhood was spent mostly on a farm and in small towns down in Texas.

I am still learning how to draw properly. I'm also using an eGo batt, and removing the cone helped tremendously, though it does look a tad silly. I don't get as much vapor with the eGo as people say I should be getting, either. I think it's because I've been an ultra lights smoker for a long time, and taking a draw long enough to produce lots of vapor would knock me on me .... with TH. :) But as long as I'm getting enough vapor to convince my mind that we're "smoking," that's enough for me.

well i gotta say that the batt is probably screwin up your carto experience. the KR8 batt puts out true 3.7 volts. I think there is a thread testing battery voltage somewhere in the model specific forum of the 510. Somebody did a voltage test on the 510 battery a mod and the Kr808d batt. It showed that the 510 and the mod were putting out 3 volts and the Kr808d was the only batt that put out tru 3.7 volts even somethin like 3.789 volts. Which doesnt seem like much but it makes a world of difference for vapor producttion. I can do deep lung hits and still get good vapor on my VK. But i do drag to cut off as well.

and i'm so glad y'all got my drawers reference.  i knew pawpaw would. :D

I'm not sure if that was a compliment or an insult! ;)

mmmm an accent is everything. Whenever I go furniture shopping I insist on having a nice young man to inspect my drawers.

I'm neither young or nice, but can I go with you next time? :p

I came back to talk about cartos, but now it seems OT.

I'm alternating with cigs right now as part of my transition over to vaping, so I've been using this thing like a pacifier since 11am (cig every 2-3 hours, vaping in between), and my first carto is still going strong. I want to draw too hard on it still, but I've been getting better at that through the day, so I'm getting more consistent with it.

So, all in all, I'm a pretty happy vaper right now. But I do wish I'd also bought some no-nic cartos, because I have a bit of a nic buzz from using this so much today.

Re: 510 atties vs cartos, I honestly like both and will likely continue to use both. However, there's no doubt in my mind that the cartos are the best for newbies, and I wish people would quit presenting the 510 atty as hassle-free. I even took a poll, and almost no one uses those sorry little carts as is! If one has to drip, modify a cart, or top off every few puffs, that's *not* hassle-free! Unless something drastic happens to change my opinion, it will be the KR8 from V4L that I will be recommending to my family members.

ETA: Finally killed my first carto at 6:30pm, so it lasted me about seven and a half hours of fairly frequent vaping. Not a big fan of the cola taste so far.
