So I bought a bottle of 12mg 70/30 unflavored nic, which is where I'd like to start playing around at. I know flavor and sweetener will dilute it down some, I'm fine with that. Now the question I have, because safety is a huge concern, does the blend I bought need to be diluted down or is it safe to just start mixing flavors with? Is that 12mg per ml or is it like buying a pre mixed bottle from the store? I got it from vapordynamix.com from their diy section. All concentrations are in mg/ml. It just get abbreviated to mg. 12mg is fine to use as it is or to mix down.
To give you some idea - i typically buy my nic liquid in 36mg/ml and dilute that to make my daily vape. You can buy liquid at 100mg/ml (which is a 10% solution, it's not 100% pure nicotine!) and that MUST be diluted before you can use it. Obviously the higher the concentrations you use, the more precautions you have to take handling it, such as gloves and glasses and prompt cleaning of any spills etc.

12mg/mL isn't terribly strong juice unless you're dripping on a very low-ohmed RDA or you're not a former smoker. Depending on how much flavoring you add to what final volume of juice will determine ending nic and PG/VG level. I'm "presuming" that 70/30 is 70PG/30VG - I tend to put PG first, but others put VG first....
To figure your final dilution, just determine how many mL you have made, how much flavoring, and how much unflavored.
Example: for a 10mL bottle to which you add 20% (2mL flavoring), you'll have 12 mg * 8 mL nic juice and 0 mg * 2 mL = 960 mg/100 mL = 9.6 mg/mL juice. Same philosophy: 10% flavoring would yield 10.8mg/mL; 30% flavoring would yield 8.4 mg/mL juice.
When you get a few more posts in, come wander over to the DIY section. You can ask more specific question

You can just add flavour to that quite safely. It will be 12mg/ml just like pre-mixed eliquid you might buy. Like you say, it will dilute the nicotine content a little which is fine if you don't want/need to be too precise with nic levels.
Wow not one troll post, thank you guys for your quick replies. I also bought several vg based flavorings to mess around with so my end result should be around 65/35 (give or take) with lower nic than I'm currently using. I'm using an Atlantis with cf battery. I'm wanting to give Diy a try cause all the shops in my area are getting close to $7 per ten ml and I go through about 5-6 ML per day and at those prices I might just go back to smoking. Thank you guys again for everything!
Try and get 36mg next time, and get VG and PG separately. It's cheaper in the long run, you have better control over your strength and ratio, but you don't have to go crazy with precautions quite yet (wear gloves though).
