I'll keep it simple. I've been doing research on everything I will need to start DIY ejuice. What I wanted to know is if I'm planning on having a 3mg nicotine strength what strength bottle should I buy?

I'll always recommend 100mg/ml. It's the most cost-effective, and calculations are super-easy; for each 10ml of finished 3mg/ml juice you want, you add 0.3ml of the nicotine base (just move the decimal point when you're thinking in terms of 10ml batches). I also like it because it takes up less of my mix, so I can adjust the PG/VG ratio more if I want. If you're worried about it going bad, you can always order smaller sizes.

But that's just me. It does require a bit more care, and small measurement discrepancies cause larger percentage changes (like mixing a strength of 2.9 or 3.1), since it's so concentrated. But in my experience, that's never been a deal-breaker.

The simple answer is. . . if you are wanting to save the most, 100mg is your best bet.

Personally, I've been buying 250ml of 24mg for $13.50 and mixing it down to 3mg. I use a calculator (spreadsheet) for all of my "how much of what to put where" so the calculation isnt an issue.
Yesterday I bought 1L 100mg nic in PG (it preserves better in PG) for $50. My plan is to break it up into smaller quantity glass bottles and freeze it. Then When I run out of nic at my mix station I can pull out a 30ml bottle from the freezer and mix it down to 12 or 24mg or whatever. I dont like handling 100mg too much because there is more of a hazard involved. I usually dont use gloves when mixing (getting 24mg on your hands isnt a big deal), so far safety I'll mix it down when I pull it out of the freezer (while wearing gloves).

Okay I have another question figured id ask in this thread instead of starting a new one. I bought 1mm syringes to measure my nicotine with. It did not come with a needle point so I bought some. My question is how to I accurately measure the nicotine? How do I know how much is in the actual needle tip?

Why would you need a needle? Just how tiny of a bottle would it take for a 1ml syringe to not fit through the opening?

The liquid in the needle won't come out unless you have air behind the liquid. Like a straw with one end sealed by a finger pulled out of your drink...just stays in the straw until you let air in by removing finger.

Right. And you can always get rid of the air bubble by drawing the solution in, then out, and then draw it in to what you need. No air.

I've been mixing for years and have a collection of needles I purchased when starting out. Still in their packages, just don't have any need of them. No good way to clean them if i did anyway, so never looked to invent reasons to use them.

Just do your research and don't get a peppery nicotine. From what I read VaperTek and Nude Nicotine are best.

Um, from what you've read? -Taste is extremely subjective. If you have not found your "go-to" flavorings and nic, I suggest shopping around and trying small quantities from many different vendors. One cannot go by what you read when it comes to YOUR taste buds, IMHO. :)

............Note that I am not shilling any vendor when I say this.......... :toast:
