New to E-Cig and loving it!

I'm pretty new to vaping and the whole e-cig world, but I jumped in with both feet. I've been smoke free for about 3 months now and everything is just better. I don't smell like smoke anymore, actually can't stand the smell anymore when I'm around my friends that still smoke.

I'm already making my own liquids, which is great and a total money saver. Love the forums though, learning a lot here. Thanks guys!

Welcome and congrats. I DIY juice too. It's great. Have even started selling it to friends.

That's funny because I just shared a few of my creations with friends this weekend, they all want to buy from me (because they know I'll sell it to them cheaper), but everyone was loving my creations.

Welcome! And I'm new too..been able to stop smoking since I start vapouring..but running out of juice and it's hard to get here in sg..afraid that I might go back to smoking which is something I really do not wish to..

My girlfriend turned me on to it actually. What I did, because like you I didn't want to go back to smoking because thats the easy thing to do, is ensure you buy a good supply from the start (eliquid) and gear. I use the Vamo V2 (I have two of them), and I have 4 KangerTech Protanks. I was buying liquids from a shop in Texas (I live in Hawaii) because that's where my girl lives (we are both military) and that was the only place I knew where to get my liquid that I liked.

Well spending hours and hours on the net, I found out that I could do a lot of this myself. So I started, first reading hours of forums and DIY type stuff, just started making my liquids this last week. I pretty much replicated my favorite (called Siberian Fireball) but I'm missing one thing in it. I will figure it out though, but my test samples are all still good...lol.

Have a good set of spare batteries on hand too, I use the 18650s with the Vamo V2. You can find a lot of cheap batteries (price) on Amazon. Also, I have two chargers, one at work and one at home. You have to set yourself up to be solid. Can't go back to smoking.

I recommend some of my favorite flavors, Atomic Fireball and Siberian Fireball. You can find them on the net. On average you should be paying about $12 - $16 for a 30ml bottle, with nicotine. I am at 18mg nic right now, but plan on trying to drop that too. The cinnamon based vapes give you a good through hit, powerful honestly, and actually made me cough the first time I tried it, and I was a smoker for 10 years. Good luck

Mind sharing how u DIY ur own juice? Maybe I can try and see if it works cause I'm really running low now..

Well first I read through a bit of the forums on here and found the shops to shop at, online, of course. Most DIY liquid providers have an e-calculator online. I found the main ingredients, bought them, bought the measurement tools (needle like things), the little bottles (most you can find on Amazon or Essential Depot, and go from there. Ensure you read about the calculations with the nic base you go with. You will have to cut the nicotine liquid so you don't stun yourself...lol, or you can buy the nic base at exactly what you want, but you can save a lot more by getting the ones you have to cut.

I would say, I was paying about $20 bucks per 30ml bottle at 18mg/ml nic. I bought crap in bulk and now I'm making the same ones I bought. I would say I'm making a 30ml bottle at 18mg/ml nic for about 50 cents now. I'm saving big time.

wow! I'm new at this too and it's soo refreshing to hear how far you have come in so little time. Keep going strong!!!

Yeah I'm stoked. I can't believe my friends actually want to buy my liquids. I was just making them to make them. But they like my mix, so I'm cool with that. It will pay for all the supplies and trial and errors I did. Honestly, it isn't that hard, you just have to be cautious when handling the nicotine based liquid (I prefer PG over VG nic base, as many forum goers say the nicotine mixes better with the PG than the VG.

I am college educated, but totally not a chemist or anything like that. My degree is in compute engineering, but honestly, with all the help in the forums, and thousands of recipes for mix out there published on all types of websites, I found it pretty easy, and you should to. If you just want to experiment, you can buy in a smaller quantity, like 120ml of PG nic base and maybe 120ml of PG and VG and some flavoring and go from there. Just be sure to read a lot first, and then use the calculators out there. You don't even really need the bottles, you COULD put them straight into one of your tanks, but from what I'm reading here lately, steeping makes your liquids taste better.

Steeping is the process of storing your freshly made e-liquid in a dark place for a few days, basically letting it sit. With PG/VG, it can take a few days for the flavoring to mix properly and blend with all the other compounds in the mix. You ever notice that your liquid from the same bottle tasted a little different a few days later than when you first received it?

Also, if you liquids are nicotine based, store them in the shade or dark, and keep them out of the sun. I see friends often put their bottles in their car, in the cup holder or something. Nicotine reacts to direct sunlight and will darken over time in the sun and also destroy some of the compound of the nicotine (from what I'm reading). So don't store your liquids in hot places, or leave in your car.

I just started diy juice making myself. I've made alot of bar style flavors, jeger bombs, flaming dr peppers, irish car bombs ext. just by mixing flavor from different sources most of which turn out to be mtbakervapor.
Congrats on switching I quit roughly the same time as you and also use a vamo, although mine is the v3 version.

wow awesome story dude. i just started vaping about a month now and got like 20 flavs or so 5 bats (2 650 and 3 1100 ego) 6 atty's 2 of witch is ego-c's (from my starter kit). i went to phil and made friends with the store owner of an e-cig shop and she showed me how to rebuild ce6 atty's. she ended up giving me a supply of wick and wire to last me a yr for free and a crap load of juice before i went back to canada as a parting gift. during my time she let me borrow a beast with a drip tip but it's way to strong for me, gave it back the next day. my next goal is getting into DIY. after reading your thread i'm inspired to look into making my own juices. at 50 cents per 30ml that's too awesome. i thought getting them at $2-5 with free shipping i thought i was getting a deal lol.

I do like the Vamo V3 look, but for me, all I'm really concerned with, is a device that works well. I'm cool with the Vamo V2...mainly because I know a place where I'm buying them for $20 bucks...lol. I have a spare on hand always, but since I started, I have got 4 of my friends to quit smoking, so I had to buy another spare (I sold my spare to them, once they tried it and decided to stay and quick smoking)...here in Hawaii the Vamo V2 is going for about $80 at the shops and the V3 is over $100 bucks. So glad the internet is here...lol, saved a crapload of money.

I'm making Atomic Fireball and a basic Cinnamon Red Hot vape. I like the strong throat hit and excellent exhale flavor that the cinnamon provides. On many of the fruity based flavors, you get this VG after taste in your mouth, sort of a dry bland "coating" or something, I can't describe it. With the cinnamon based flavors, they are so hot and spicy, you don't taste any of that. It is an incredible throat hit though, many of my smoker friends try my Vamo and they always cough the first time. They didn't expect the throat hit from an ecig....lol.

They always say the same thing too, "Damn, that's good"...lol

It all depends on the quantity you buy when you start. I wanted to go big, so I bought a gallon of PG and a gallon of VG. Both were about $13.00 each, give or take a few bucks. What was more expensive was the nic based liquid. I think I paid $34 for 1liter of 60mg PG based.

So far I made about 10 bottles of liquid, and it doesn't even seem like my supplies are going down at all...lol. It's still full. I made mixes with no nicotine and some with nicotine, 18mg and some with 12mg. I'm sure if I sat here, I could calculate the exact price of each bottle and what it costs me to make 30ml at 18mg/ml (that's my norm nic level), but the .50 cents was a rough guesstimate...but I'm sure it's right around there.

If you buy smaller quantities to try it out, of course your cost per bottle to produce will be higher, but all good. You get the gist of what I'm saying though...making your own liquid (which isn't hard at all) saves you even more than just quitting smoking.

New also going on 3 weeks or so. I went in head first I've made about 4 of my own since Saturday. 3 sweet and one Commercial Tobacco. Was a heavy smoker for many years. I absolutely love the CT for my tasting. I haven't managed to totally get off the analogs but have cut consumption down 80 to 85 % or more. It can only get better from here.
