Hi all,

I just got myself an Aspire premium starters kit and i have some questions about the use of the device.

Do you need to use it like a normal cig (get the smoke in to your mouth and then inhale)
Or do you need to use it like a water-pipe (inhale directly from the device)?

And what is the most used optimal settings for maximum vape (smoke)?

Good for you! :)

Yes, most vapers "get the smoke in to your mouth and then inhale"
We call it mouth-to-lung. (MTL) You can also inhale direct. (DTL?)

There will be a LOT of direct lung vapers on forums. It's great! but I don't do it all the time for social/work reasons. You also need powerful equipment with lots of airflow.

The maximum vape setting is the highest setting the device will allow without burning the wicking material or liquid.

If your tank is an Aspire mini Nautilus, they can take up to 14-16 watts. If your battery is adjustable (I think it is), you can go to the max 4.8 volts probably.
Don't go there straight away on a new atomizer, break them in slowly starting low.

Hi and welcome,
Lung Inhale vs Mouth Inhale

How long did you smoke and what level nicotine juice are you using?

cheers
I

I smoked for 10 years, i started with samson (rolling tabaco) i switched a year ago to marlboro (+- 6 cigarettes /day)

On the package it says 0.8 mg nicotine and the liquid i use is currently 12mg/ml and i also have a 11mg/ml liquid.

I dont know if the nicotine values are a 1 on 1 comparison between cig and liquides...

No. They are not 1:1.

A cigarette might contain 15mg of nicotine before smoking and give you 1.0mg of nicotine by smoking.
1 ml of liquid does not give you 1 x 11mg or 1 x 12mg. I contains that before vaping it.

There is a blog about it. You can safely 'assume' less than 50% is available in the vapor. Vaping is more efficient than smoking (smoking losses 90% of the Nicotine) but even with 50% in the vapor, you still won't get 50% of the total by the time you have vaped it.

Tobacco cigarette vs e-cigarette nicotine equivalency

That's an awesome starter kit. My favorite starter vape was very similar to yours but it didn't come in a kit. I bought everything separately. Yes, bring the vapor into your mouth and then inhale. I would advise you to set the device at around four volts, but you should experiment to see what your sweet spot is. If you find that you are having a hard time leaving the analogs alone, I would advise you up your nicotine a bit. I started vaping 12 mg. nic juice, and I loved it, but I wasn't able to toss the analogs until I upped my nic to 18 mg. Your best nicotine level may be different than mine however.

Hope you enjoy your journey. Please let us know when you have questions. There's almost always someone here who will want to help.
