If they contain ethyl steep them, if they dont have strong enough flavor or it seems off steep it. Steeping overnight usually is all is needed but if its still not tasting like you want it try steeping longer. Steeping actually is letting some of it evaporate making it more concentrated/ or removing the ethyl alcohol. VirginVapor brands are my favs so far, I tried a friends that use ZeusJuice it was fruity as heck. juice is a matter of personal taste tho. Seattle is not my town but you can use yellowpages or google to find locals im sure its full of them being a major metropolis. Welcome to the forums :)

Purely by testing. If you try it and it is good. Vape it. If you try it, and it's too perfumey, leave the cap off for a day. Try it, and repeat. If you try it and it seems like it might get better (tastes good but has potential to be better) leave cap on and let it sit for a while in the dark, place that is slightly below room temperature.

2. how many days or weeks to steep?

Can range from one day up to months. Honestly if you like it, vape it. Tobaccos need the most time, fruits need nothing (typically), bakery items are about a week or so.

3. whats the point of steeping it?

Helps the flavor mature. Think of it as aging wine. Wine tastes great, but sometimes it improves slightly with age. It could be the anticipation of the flavor or simply allowing the flavors to blend better together gradually.

4. what brands is your favorite e-liquids?

Complete opinion. mount baker vapor, lucky seven, big heart vapors, halo ... Too many to list.

5. any stores in seattle for e liquids?

When you get your eliquid, smell it. If it smells good to you, put some in your tank or carto, and taste it. If it tastes good to you, vape it. If it does not smell or taste good to you, steep it. Check it every few days. Steeping time varies - a lot will be dependent on your taste, and how you perceive the eliquid. My daughter likes Mt. Baker Vapor's Hawk Sauce straight from the mailbox, but I have seen quite a few people here on ECF that do not care for it until it has steeped for a while. On the other hand, I prefer bakery/creamy flavors, and they, for me, need to steep a couple of weeks in order to "come into their own".

All I do to steep is put the eliquid away in a dark place for a while - I used to use an old purse with zippered compartments, now I have graduated to a small, cheap toolbox from Walmart. With 3 cats and a dog, I do not really have a good place where I can put eliquid without caps or drip tips. Some people "speed steep" using heat. Since I have never done anything like that, I will leave it for someone more experienced in that method to explain it.

This is all about what tastes good and works for you. Remember, too, that your taste will change. That eliquid that you absolutely loved at first may lose its charm. On the other hand, that eliquid that you thought was just plain nasty may become your new favorite in time. Don't forget to drink lots of water, and be sure to shake the bottle of eliquid every time you fill or top off your tank or carto.

Welcome to ECF. Enjoy.

I toss in my experience on steeping. I make my own juice (DIY) and almost any flavor I make needs some time to blend and evaporate any alcohol based flavorings. Certain flavorings take longer to blend and age with tobacco and vanilla being the longest and typically fruits being the shortest. If you are ordering and have stuff come vape mail then your juice will already have a 2-4 day steep just in transit.

The best test is what some have mentioned. Shake the bottle good and the sniff test and then put a single drop on your finger and taste it. If it tastes good then it will vape good. It it smells/tastes like chemicals/perfume then it needs more time to blend/age.

A good quality brick and mortar vape shop will steep their juices before making them available to purchase. Mail order are most likely mixed up relatively fresh and then shipped out.

Howdy! I'm not an experienced vaper by any means, however I've done quite a bit of research and have learned a bit. On to your questions:

1- Weather a juice needs to be steeped is entirely dependant on the type of juice. Menthols and citrus juices need very little time, the also tend to be more translucent (clear) more complex juices like deserts and custards need much more time to steep and different flavors and not can come out at different times. Like other posters have said "if it tastes good, vape it"

2- I briefly touched on length of sleeping in #1, However, it should be noted that there is 3 different methods of "steeping" the first is basic steeping. Place your juice in a cool dark place to sit for a day or two, I should mention that juices ideally should be kept from light as light breaks down the nicotine and flavor molecules over time. Then there's Breathing... That's steeping but the cap and dropper are removed so the juice is exposed to the air. The air oxidizes and helps flavors mature a bit faster. Finally there's Streething... That's a combination of the first two but you warm the juice under a hot tap, shake it up, remove the cap, squeeze it a few times (make sure you're not losing juice) replace the cap shake it up again so it's all bubbly, repeat the process and steep (method 1) again for a day and repeat the whole thing again.

3- Steeping, Breathing, and Streething are all for getting the most out of your juice, bolt in flavor and longevity.

Hope that helps :)

1. Try vaping them. If they seem to lack a bit, let 'em sit for a while.

2. Bakery and vanilla type flavors depends. I try them every 2-3 days to see if they are improving. If they are good at any time, vape them. Fruits tend to be OK right out of the gate.

3. Develops and mellows flavor. With vanilla and cream types, it makes the creaminess come out and more prominent.

4. I make my own, so mine are my favorite! :D I am sure many others will have suggestions for you though.

5. Rome NY is a loooong way away from Seattle, sorry, no help there...

Just try your juice when you get it, and if you like it, go ahead and use it. Oh yeah, when you are letting it sit, shake the crap out of it a few times a day as well. Good luck, and welcome!
