Hello,

I just got my V4L starter kit in the mail last night and have been taking drags off of it quite a bit today.

I got the shorty manual kit. Does anybody know how long the battery lasts on these?

Also, how long do the cartomizers last from V4L?

Is it worth it to get the juice and refill the carts?

I really wish that V4L would make their products more comparable and provide more of the spec information on their website.

First of all, welcome to vapeville.
I have purchased a couple things from v4l, and they seem to be working just fine.
I don't have shorty batteries, but I do have a regular length one, and it usually goes 3 to 4 hours of use between charges...
Depends on how hard you hit it I guess.
The v4l is an 808 style battery, and there are a number of places that sell cartos that will work with them.
As far as carto life, again it depends on your vaping style...I can get most of a full day out of one during the week, but on weekends, I vape more and can go thru 3 or 4 of them easily.
Refilling the v4l carts is super easy with their soft caps, and you can really save yourself some cash by getting a few refills out of them.
The nice thing about v4l is that they sell juices in the same flavors as the pre filled cartos, so if you find a flavor that you like, you can order the juice and just top them off when needed.
Hope that helps a little, I'm far from an expert, but there are several around these forums for sure.

DIY juices are the best way to go IMHO. Prices vary at the different sites, but you can find good deals out there. Yes, it does take time to refill cartos, but a lot cheaper than purchasing them filled. You might enjoy the challenge of mixing flavors and coming up with your own blends. Cartomizers for the KR808D-1 can be purchased at a lot of sites. If you have time go to the suppliers list and check around. Hope you enjoy your vaping experience.

Welcome to ECF twiddy

I'm not sure, but I think a couple of hours before needing a recharge

Also, how long do the cartomizers last from V4L?

They hold ~1ml of e-liquid. many people average ~3ml/day

Is it worth it to get the juice and refill the carts?
absolutely. You can expect to be able to refill 4-6 times. Some people go to great lenths to clean and stretch the lifetime even longer- IMO that's not worth it.

I really wish that V4L would make their products more comparable and provide more of the spec information on their website.

V4L batteries are kr808d1, and are compatible with any kr808d1 cartos.

Just a few more posts and time for the forum to update and you can post in the V4L subforum Vapor4Life and ask other questions you may have

To answer your questions directly

The battery should give you 2-4 hours depending how heavy you vape

The carts could last as long as your battery or longer this is something that you need to test out, because everyone has different habits with vaping:)

Also its cheaper to buy the juice and refill the carts you have until they go bad

My wife's main e-cig is the KR808 from V4L and we think their products and service are very good. They have a very cool assortment of batteries. I would suggest you go with the extra large (longer) battery. They'll last up to 8 hrs. She wasn't too keen on the WOW atomizers, she uses the CoolCarts, but it's all a matter of choice. Just pop off the soft cap on the end of the atomizer (use a toothpick, etc) and add your e-juice. Mix and match flavors too. Welcome to vaping and good luck!

Here is a Vaporking User Guide
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/58027-vaporking-user-guide.html

The shorty batteries are 180mah, same life as standard 510 batteries or about 2-3 hours, less if vaped heavily
The standard V4L/KR808D-1 batteries are 280mah or about 60% longer charge or about 3-5 hours, less if vaped heavily

And yes, it is worth adding juice to the cartos. No standard carto lasts as long as a pack of cigs though some rebranders on the web use that lie. I can get days out of a carto by refilling. And I alternate 2 so I get a week or more out of both.

V4L is model KR808D-1, the most popular normal-price 2-piece and the most supported for blank cartomizers and adapters for attys (if you want use use it as 3 piece). Bloogplanet prefilled cartos are also compatible.
