Hi there.. recently had a baby so I'm trying to kick smoking at least regular cigarettes for obvious reasons.. been reading and talking in as much info as possible over the last month.. so I would just like a few possible opinions on how to fix my problem of still going back for one or two a day especially while at work... I recently bought an eversmoke kit.. I love it and went from a pack and a half a day to just a few regulars a day using it.. only been a month since I switched so I think I'm making good progress.. now I Wana switch to just e Cig and nothing more.. its been harder then I thought... I am currently using 18mg carts but there regular.. I think some flavor would help.. only thing is there's so many I don't know where to start.. something sweet maybe with a fruit flavor. And a mg amount that would keep me coming back to the e cig instead of an analog without over doing it.. I figure higher amount of nicotine may help during a time when I crave an analog.. also would like to see as much vapour as possible since I noticed I like to watch it as I exhale.. gives that visual fix on that end of the habit.. also would like to see what I have left in a the cart and really like the clearomizer type but can't get a straight answer by searching which threads fit.. found two diff answers and want to know which fits an eversmoke? 808d-1 or 808d-2.. have seen both as an answer but I've also read they are different.. I am trying to keep it between a 30ml bottle and possibly 2 or 3 tanks plus shipping and everything else around 40 bucks since I have a visa prepaid card I'd like to use... sorry for the lengthy first post but it kind of frustrates me to not be able to kick analogs totally and figured Id give as much info as possible so others who have been in my situation can possibly give me some information so i can get it right as soon as possible and finally say I've joined the quitters club.. it means a lot to me right now and thanks in advance

Nobody is going to attempt to read a wall of text. I broke your post up so that it is easier to read.

Thank you baditude.. like I said any and all help I can get.. and tc1 I'm not doubting you one bit but I found one website that said that it was a -2 but found two that said -1
I'm kind of tight on funds at the moment and hate to waste the money lol

I searched the forum and found someone who bought the -1 carts (they were recommended by a vendor for his eversmoke) and they wouldn't fit .... they returned them and got the -2 ... worked like a charm. Multiple other searches I did resulted in the same information.

That's really all I can tell you because I don't actually own any eversmoke products.

I agree, it looks like the eversmoke is another kr808 D-2 (hateful things). First off, if you have that "monthly shipment" thing going, CANCEL IT NOW. You could buy a complete new setup from a more reasonably priced vendor like Smokeless Image (if you want to stay with the cig-sized units) with what you spend on that auto-shipment stuff.

The cartos CAN be refilled but I have no experience with eversmoke's stuff so I can't say how well it will perform. Give it a try.

You might seriously consider switching to a more mainstream type of system (KR808-D1 like the SI's or a 510) to maximize your dollar and have way more options for atomizer devices. Are you in love with the cig-size or would you be comfortable with a larger "short cigar sized" unit?

Im not familiar with what you have so its not possible for me to give you a good opinion. Somebody will though, dont worry.

What I can say about the money front is that this is not cheap. Ive tried tons of juices and most I dont like. I have now found a handful I really really enjoy, the problem is that it cost a lot of money. I can tell you one thing for sure though, it was well worth it as I quit when I had my son. So cost wasnt going to get in my way.

On the quitting completely part, your on the right road. High mg juice will go a long ways. What you must understand though is that its going to be hard. Ecigs are not a magic bullet. It takes time of no smoking cigs for you to get used to the new habit of vaping. After some amount of time though I assure you that vaping will start to feel as natural and as good as smoking ever did. For a while though you will miss that whole cigarette thing. You just need to fight through it. I know I told myself that I was going to quit smoking no matter what, regardless of weather I take up vaping or not. It was vaping or nothing, so considering that I spent what I had to in order to make it work for me. So I know money can be tight, but dont let it be the obstacle that stops you from succeeding.

One really helpful thing for me is that there is a shop about 35 minutes away from me that allows you to sit at a juice bar and sample juices to my hearts content. See if you can find a place like that near you. I know my local shop has great gear and hopefully you can find a brick and mortar shop that will help you get into a kit that will work for you.

I personally am not familiar with Eversmoke e-cigs. I am not fond of e-cig companies that require their own proprietary pre-filled cartridges. They are overpriced. Juice flavor selections are severely limited. No other options for juice delivery devices other than the pre-filled cartridges. For some new vapors, however, they may actually allow some smokers to quit and could serve as a gateway for better devices and juices.

I went on the website to try to find what threading Eversmoke uses, but that information is not to be found. You seem to believe that it is 808 threaded, and it likely is so. Any 808 threaded device (blank cartomizers, clearomizers, ce3s, etc) "should" work on your Eversmoke batteries. I would recommend looking into the Smokeless Image accessories if you are interested in any of those juice delivery devices. All of their attachments are 808 threaded and should work. They also sell pre-filled cartomizers if that is your thing, and bottled juice to use in the other attachments if you don't mind filling your own.

There's an entire world of juice vendors available to today's vapors. For beginners, it is generally wise to order sampler packs (small bottles of juice flavors) from juice vendors that offer them. No need to waste money on larger bottles of juice that you may not like. Once you do find a flavor that you like, you can order more in a larger bottle size.

I'll provide you with a couple of my favorite juice vendors that offer flavor sample packs:

Vaperite: Vaperite | E Liquid Flavors and Organic E Cigarette Liquid

I was really hoping to stick with this one cause money is short lol.. I guess ill have to wait a week or two and grab a more main stream battery.. if I do buy another I'm willing to buy whatever will work best as long as I can afford it lol.. any thing that last all day battery wise and produces good vapour..

In the mean time is there any truth to a two thread style is a -1 and three threads would be a -2..

I've been trying to investigate details and possibly try to figure if something can work just for now

Yea I didn't realize there were so many different threads until after I started looking for a tank..

As for the threads I have on mine there are only two.. I read on some website that had no mention of brands but just described the threads

It had said on the 808s that two threads were a -1 and three threads were a -2.. also said the actual threaded part is clearly longer but without either one to compare to up close that's as far as I figured so far..

With the flavors I'm thinking about trying a blue berry flavor from ecblend since the price isn't bad at all compared to most I've seen.. figure I can't go wrong starting simple lol..

From the replies looks like I'm out of luck with the tanks but I'm not gonna give up hope on the -1.. I'm trying to find the website I read about the threads on now so I know I'm not going crazy lol.. maybe by luck something will at least work properly on my battery for now lol

No cigarette sized battery is going to last all day; the better ones only last 3-4 hours. To get up to 12 hours you would need the long cigar-sized eGo batteries. For all day use, you would need to move up to the advanced personal vaporizers, or mods.

I know it can be rather daunting starting out. I have been through the same thing - trying to spend as conservatively as possible. Nothing wrong with that. I would recommend you look at the various Ego and Ego type products. They are going to be a step up from your current setup, will provide a longer vape time (using 900mah - 1300mah batteries) and are going to be compatible with a wide range othe "third party" cartomizers, tanks, clearomizers, etc. It doesn't take a $200.00+ Provari or other higher priced variable voltage device to get you what you are looking for. That can come later as you continue to learn more about your e-cig and what you like/dislike. It takes some time. We have ALL been there.

I read a post one time where one of the respondents made the remark, "People do not think a thing about going out and spending $50.00 - $80.00 on a carton of cigarettes, but are hesitant to purchase a $50.00 - $70.00 e-cig starter kit." That statement kind of hit home with me. Maybe if you can look at it from that point of view, it might help a little. Of course, when funds are tight, no point of view can make money magically appear.

Take a look at site like madvapes.com, gotvapes.com, discountvapers.com, myvaporstore.com and shop around. There are holiday sales going on currently that may enable you to upgrade to a setup that will suit your needs and still maintain your budget.

Keep in mind, the goal is to get off and stay off of the analogs. Your family depends on it.

Well I guess it won't hurt to learn lol.. just ordered a kanger 808 clearomizer.. if it don't work oh well it was 3 bucks someone on here I'm sure could use it.. if it does then ill order more..

I also figured I'd try some smaller bottles of the energy drink flavored liquid and the regular blueberry flavors over at ecblends.. again if I don't like it I'm sure someone will claim it lol..

Also ordered a 5ml syringe.. figured I'd need it down the road regardless..

Again I'd like to thank you guys.. I think between finding a place to talk to people who have already been through this craziness along with the right info I can get into three mindset I need to give up analogs forever..

As for the mods and such is there a steep gain as opposed to using a normal e- Cig??
Is it enough to put out the extra money I Can technically spend but really shouldn't if it isn't worth it?

It really depends on what you want/need but, from a straight gain in performance standpoint; yes, the larger batteries and, especially the variable voltage devices, can outperform the cig-sized units by leaps and bounds. Does that mean that you have to plunk down $100 to get a 2-battery 1000mAh eGo Twist setup right away? Not necessarily. It WILL perform much better than a cig-sized unit; it will produce more vapor, more flavor, and more throat hit.
But, you can also get a single-voltage 650mAh eGo starter kit for $60 or less that would also outperform the heck out of a mini.
I've kind of lost track here and don't recall what you have tried exactly but, do you feel that a bit more than your getting out of the little cig-like would satisfy you or is it just not even coming close?

Oh man its doing better than I ever imagined.. I was able to get down from a pack and a half a day to maybe 4 tops.. I just bought an eversmoke super ultimate kit or whatever the biggest one is but it was only 60 on sale so I got the best one..

But... if spending the 100 or so on the twist is going to be that much a positive difference then I'm definitely not opposed to doing so.. can't really go crazy because I just had a baby a month ago but this want to quit started when I first seen her so if it gets the job done I don't think she'll mind not getting a bouncy seat or whatnot for another week when it boils down to it lol

I have to agree with a lot of advice that Baditude has given you. I should have started this with "CONGRATULATIONS" You've got a new life to think about. If I could have had kids I would have changed a lot of things in my life. I'd try to scrimp up and get something like a "twist or spinner". With the 510 thread the choices are endless. If not that may an adaptor for your present one. Not sure where you could find it cause all I've ever used are 510. I found that my eGo 1000mah twist would last for over a day. I would like to wish your and your spouse and the most important one of all the new addition, a Healthy and Wonderful Life. Stay with it. You've got the best reason in the world.

It really doesnt need to cost that much. Im not saying get this kit because Im not in love with the ego C atomizer but there are others around for similar prices with cartos. Then you can also buy a small tank for under $10. This uses 510 threads which are by far the most common and you can attach most anything you want to it.

I'm fairly new too, and I was in your shoes a couple of months ago. You'll find that there are as many opinions about equipment and juice as there are vendors and battery, clearos, cartos, etc. out there. It's daunting. For me personally, this is what I wish I had known starting out, it would have saved me money and time in the "trying it out" stage:

Buy an inexpensive ego battery, twist if you can afford it, regular one if not. Get a decent size, 900-1100 mah so it lasts on a charge. DiscountVapers.com has great prices and the owner is really helpful. Buy a couple of clearos to try, ce4's are fine. Don't forget to buy a battery charger, and you may want two batteries so you always have one charged. Two ego batteries, a charger and 2 ce4 clearos will run around $45 or so at Discount.

Then try juices from a reputable vendor. The Plume Room, Heather's Heavenly Vapes and Vape Dudes are some of my personal favorites - google them. The right juice tastes amazing and will make all the difference. I started with a kit I paid too much for and some terrible juice, and I almost got turned off. Expect to spend around $1 per ml of juice and you won't be disappointed - you can find better deals, I'm estimating.

Don't try to find a juice that tastes the same as a burning cigarette - in my opinion you won't find one, and you'll be disappointed. Instead look for juices that sound appealing to you and start with ones that get good reviews on this forum.

Again, these recommendations are based on my personal experience, yours and others may vary. But if I would have at least had this as a starting point when I started, I'd be ahead of the game and wouldn't have felt like I wasted money.

Good luck, happy vaping!

Thank you tnt.. those were my thoughts exactly.. new life to live to make hers better..

I also forgot to mention battery life with my unit is not really an issue because I got the charge pack with it.. last me all day easily.. that was one thing I bought it for..

I'm also pretty sure my battery has an output of 4.2 so I think that's pretty good right..

I also got a larger battery that I use around the house that lasts about double the smaller unit..

Seems like the only problem is Cartos or tanks to attach to it.. is there anyway around this problem because from what I've seen in links my unit is pretty comparable in terms of power and such or am I totally wrong about that?
