I am a smoker about about 8 years, about a pack a day now.

I have just ordered from canvape.com and have heard good things, I have ordered some juice from jugheads.co and heard good things there also, is there anywhere else i can get good juices that anyone could recommend? If it is frowned upon to post in the forum about this, could you please pm me?

Thanks!

Hello and WELCOME! :)

There is a great list available by PM (you can find it stickied at the top in this forum) of all the Canadian vendors that sell nic juice. Jugheads is great, as is The Gentlemen's Reserve, MLV, and many others. I've yet to order Canadian juice so I don't have any personal opinions or experience but hanging out here and getting a copy of that list will really help. Good luck :)

"Good" is only as good as the person that tries it and enjoys it....... or not.

There are many reviews of Canadian (and many many others) both here and throughout the forum. But, those findings are 'personal' to the reviewer as far as like/dislike.

I suggest, as many have done themselves to find THEIR preference, that you do a little researching and decide for yourself if your willing to give them a try. There really is NO one juice fits all in this game.... you'll need to find the one (or multiple) that both tickle your fancy, and that enjoyed enough (by YOU), to keep you off of analogs.

Best wishes in finding YOUR fav..... I'm pretty sure if you start (as many have) ordering samplers from diff vendors of things you THINK you may like based on your interest that you will find something.

VapeOn,
Greg

Welcome, Noob! You've come to a great forum - tons of info and great people willing to help. Totally agree with what has been said up above ^^^. Juice is a totally personal journey. The only real advise I offer is that, while you are in the process of searching out your favorite flavors, please find the suppliers that sell sample sizes. I once ordered two 30 ml bottles (because I had to - the site only sold them in 30 mls) of two juices that both had rave reviews and sounded soooo good. Hated them both. One more than the other - it tasted to me like old, sweaty wool socks. Go figure! Over $40 down the tubes that fast. There is the reality that your taste buds work differently than anyone else's AND the fact that your taste buds will work differently as time goes on and they start to come back to life again after the smoking years.

I also would be careful about falling into the trap that most of us did when we first started - looking for that perfect tobacco flavor because we think that's what we want and need. After all, that's what we've been breathing into our lungs, right, so it's got to be what we want! There is no flavor out there that will ever taste like a cig - it is impossible on many levels. My suggestion would be to consider flavors that you like (fruits, sweets, etc) and chose from some of those as well as any tobacco flavor that you think you just have to have, :)

Good luck and never hesitate to drop by for advise, help and to let us know how you are coming along.

I appreciate that! I guess the most helpful thing i could get is advice about cartomizers vs clearomizers, i dont know what they do or what they are for but have ordered both. Here is the setup i have ordered, could you please advise on strengths/weaknesses of the setup, batteries, etc and what would be best to use, cartomizers or the clearomizers, also are they necessary? how do i "drip" with the unit? I have never even touched one yet, but am waiting for mine to be shipped on Monday.

Here is the setup:

2 - 901 atomizers
2 - 3.7V 1100mAh rechargeable batteries in Black
1 - atomizer/carto cone
1 - USB wall adapter
1 - USB 901 rapid battery charger
10 - Black flat tip cartridges

Kanger Quality.
G4 Clearomizer bottom coil design for lots of vapor.
Easy to refill and long lasting.
5 pack clear.

Kanger Quality
Best 808D Carto's available Horizontal and wonderful!
5 pack black

I also bought converters from 808 thread to 501, but not sure what they are for... LOL

pathetic i know, but i really dont know anything about them except i want to stop smoking "analogs".

Please spill as much info as you all can if you dont mind! I would REALLY appreciate it!

Thanks for all the help so far.

Great advice, the first thing i did was order 15 or so different samples, but yes i fell into the trap trying 2-3 cig flavoured ones hoping for that exact thing! I really appreciate knowing that now.

Thanks!

You don't need atomizer, cartomizers and clearomizers all together. You will be happy though because now you can try them all and see what you like best! Atomizers are used with the cartridges you got. Cartomizers are an atomizer/cartridge all in one piece and contain a polyfill material inside which can either come pre-filled or blank (too fill with your own liquid). Clearomizers are like a cartomizer except they have no polyfill material and instead use rope-like "wicks" to get the liquid to the atomizer. There are pros and cons to each, so you can find out which you prefer.

I'm not sure if the atomizers you got are native to dripping (don't do it myself) but I'm pretty sure any atty can be modded to be drippable if you so desire (someone clarify this please :)).

I believe you can use the adapters to put the Kanger 808 cartomizers on your battery but someone please correct me if I've got that backwards or something.

I think you did a good job overall. You have everything you need really. On your next order from canvape, i would recommend maybe a kanger battery, just for a back up. Maybe a extra charger too. You'll be in trouble if something goes wrong with one of the batts or the charger.

Dripping is something you do with the atomizers. Hopefully you got some drip tips, but you can use the ends of the kanger clearomizers in a pinch. Dripping is basically when you drop a few drops directly into your atomizer, vape it until its done, and drip some more. To start, i would blow them out into a napkin, they come primed with unflavored vg, so you'll want to try to get that out of them. Blow so the junk comes out of the battery end. After that, drip a few drops onto the mesh stuff inside of it, and vape away. You will notice the taste gets funky and you will get less vape, thats when you need to drip a few more drops. At first, you should take the atty off when dripping, at least till you get a hang of it. After dripping check to see if its leaking out, if you put too much in it will leak onto your battery. I think those batteries are manual, so they should be safe from getting juice into them, but i still think you should get used to it before dripping while they're connected, it can get messy. I find three drops to be good when dripping, i never overfill that way.

You can use the atomizers with cartridges, but honestly, im not really sure how that works.

The clearomizers and cartomizers are, for our purposes, the same basically. Cartomizer has filler material in them, you get this soaked with juice, and it wicks to a coil and you vape. The clearomizers are similiar, but they are a clear tank. With these you fill them up, and vape on them. I won't get into too much detail about them, i think if you look up a youtube video you'll be able to see better how to fill them than i could explain.

The converter you got will be pretty much useless for now. Different kinds of ecigs have different threads, so thats just a adapter so you can use 510 cartos/atomizers with a 808 battery, or vise versa.

Now that i think of it, maybe using the clearomizer tips might not be a good idea for dripping, the rubber seal might melt or something.. anyway, get some drip tips eventually.

Awesome explanation! Thanks!!

I guess the only thing i am thinking is that when i am at work i cannot be dripping, i think it looks like you are using something other than an e cig, so i just want to smoke right out of the unit with some liquid in it. Is that still a good option too?

That's very re-assuring, thanks!!! So as far as the battery/charger advice, maybe i should add that to my order? It wont ship until tomorrow so there is still time, and really spending this money is nothing compared to the money it will save me from not smoking if this works! Would most of you recommend transitioning (still smoking a few analogs a day) into the vaping? or just going straight at it 100% ?

I really want to do this in a way that stops me from craving analogs...

I need to order the battery soon before i go to bed if i am going to, to make sure it can be shipped with my same order.

I transitioned into vaping. I actually started late February. Within 1 week I was down from 30 to around 15.

From there I set myself a date (April 2nd which was my last day on nights) to be completely analog free. My last week of smoking was down to 2 a day (which I though I was never going to see) and since then I have never looked back and been completely analog free.

Hey man, congrats! That is really great, and very inspiring! Thanks for the response! I think i might make a new thread related to this to see how all members transitioned.
