Hello all, My name is Beth. I recently discovered the world of e-cigs and vaping. I just had a few questions. I recently purchased a 901 which is charging at the moment so I have not tried it yet. I just had a couple of getting started questions.

With the prefilled carts that came with my kit, can I just put them into the device and use it right away or do I need to prep the atomizer in any way?

With dripping, do I have to use a filler in the empty cart or not?

Can I reuse the filller in the prefilled carts?

Thats all The questions I have for now. I am looking forward to trying it and hope this is the answer for me to get away from cigs once and for all. I still have a lot to learn and I am so glad I found this forum. Lots of helpful info.

Hi Beth, Here's some answers.
First get a paper towel and blow from the threaded end of the atomizer into the paper towel to get any primer out that may be in there then drip 2 or 3 drops of juice on the wick inside the atomizer (the thing sticking up inside where the cart goes on) to re-prime it. Stick on the cart and puff a few times without inhaling to burn off any remaining factory primer (it tastes nasty). Then you're good to go.
Dripping is when you drip into the atty. 2 or 3 drops max. It's easy to flood a 901 atty dripping so I wouldn't try that just yet.
You can re-use the filler. I just pull it out, rinse it in warm tap water and pat it dry on a paper towel. When you re-fill the cart put about 5 or 6 drops in the cart before you stuff the filler back in and then top it off with 9 or 10 drops letting them soak in between drips.
There ya go. Good luck and enjoy!

I prefer my DSE901 to any other model I've tried. Once you've gotten past the initial startup issues (things like the questions you asked) you should be fine. I think everyone has some sort of troubles when they start. Just ask for help here and you should get a quick answer folks are pretty helpful.

If it seems that you're finishing the cart yet when you look there still seems to be quite a bit of liquid left in the cartridge you're experiencing the problem everyone has with whatever model e-cig they buy. The white stuffing, the filler, in the cartridge isn't the best at wicking the liquid to the atomizer. There is an entire subforum here dedicated to modifications to the cartridge to fix this issue. Its the cartridge mod (for modification) area. You'll want to look though there and try some of them til you find one that works for you.

Glad to hear you're liking it Beth! It only gets better!! As Misty said, there IS a learning curve, to make sure you get the most out of your new 'toy', you MUST learn to inhale PROPERLY! We all tried to hit it like a cigarette, and consequently, didn't get too much vapor or throat hit. You HAVE to take at LEAST 5 second drags. I wrote a little guide on it here...

Welcome aboard!!
