Been a heavy smoker for 18 years. Tried hard to quit many times. No success. Started on e-cigs and a week later I threw out my last pack of cigs. It's been 4 weeks now and I'm almost disappointed at how easy it was to give them up. Lol

Get a set-up and system that you are comfortable with, including a reliable away from home kit, pick an urgent day to crossover and just do it. I love vaping now and was never this excited about smoking.

It did the job for me! I wasn't particularly interested in quitting, but when I heard about e-cigs I thought it would be pretty silly to continue risking my life with such a viable alternative available, so I went for it. That was over a year ago, and I've only smoked once since (my battery ran out when I was drunk...) - I didn't enjoy it. Now I just always take a spare and charge up before I go out - I've even resorted to buying a disposable e-cig to avoid analogues.

Hope it works for you too!

Hi RG, I am 2 months cigarette free now thanks to vaping. It has been a great experience for me and was a super easy transition.

Make sure you do research before you buy and be prepared to spend a little more upfront as it may take a bit to find the right PV and juice for your personal success.

I have gone through a few different devices before I found one that meets my personal needs. You will probably do the same. But stick to it, and you will find the right combo for you.

thank you :) I carry a spare with me at all times, and always have one charged and ready to use while at home. I still go outside to 'smoke' the E-Cig as I never smoked indoors while puffing on the real ones. I can no longer smell the smoke on me, no longer wheezy and breathless when I exert myself and I know its going to get better. I'm feeling positive. Good luck to you all!!

It's working for me so far. I was an on and off smoker for many years (heavy smoker duing the "on" phases). I picked up a disposable one day in place of analogs, and am very happy. I've only been vaping for 2 months, and am still feeling my way. I'm in no paricular rush to be an expert, because learning is so much fun. I've always loved gadgets, and vaping covers both of my obsessions.

Great going, RG!!!
My last analog was July 29th....same day I started vaping....and I haven't had a "stinkie" since!!
I was a PAD - UNfiltered - for about 10 years....Gum, patches, pills....none of it worked!!!
And....vaping certainly TASTES a LOT better than gum....or a patch!!!;)
Best of Luck to you!!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

I've been a vapor for maybe a month now. I had been an on and off smoker since I was 13, 27 years. I've always been able to quit through willpower, until this last stint. I had been heavily smoking, getting up to about a pack a day (impressive when you consider I only smoked in the evenings when I got home, I will not smoke or vape at work), and having a hard time putting down analogs again. I knew that there had to be something out there to help me kick analogs that wasn't a pill, patch or gum. I started on blu's through ignorance but continued to smoke while using blu's.

I decided that there had to be something better, something that would get me off analogs. I did some research and came across pbusardo's website, there was a lot of great info on there. The Getting Started link had a lot of great info that was explained in a way that anyone who took the time could understand the confusing jargon that hits you when you're new to vaping. After watching some of his videos and finding a local vape shop, I got my first real setup. A vamo v3, a couple of kanger t3's and some juices, I haven't smoked an analog since.

I gave my son my vamo, so that he could quit as well, and picked up an svd with a carto tank. This is my preferred setup and I'm not looking back. Be prepared to take some time and experimentation to find what works for you. I've tried tanks, carto's and clearomizer's, different batts and mods. For right now, carto tanks with the SVD are the sweet spot for me (i have a phiniac on it's way to me, yay!) but I plan to start delving into mechanical's and rda's soon.

Even with all the money spent on trying different things, I did the math yesterday and I've still spent less on e-cigs then I would have on buying analogs. My lungs already feel better and I don't have to catch my breath after going up a flight of stairs.

Welcome and Happy Vaping. Keep persisting until you find the setup that works for you.

Pack a day for 30 years. Took me about a week to fully dump the analogs. I started by just allowing the after meal smoke and then knocked them out one at a time. Tried the Blu and GreenSmoke brands but didn't work for me. Using the itaste vv3 solved it for me. Get a good setup to start. As others said do your research. Spend a little more for good equipment. You have enough going on getting off the analogs. Frustration with vaping equipment is a distraction you don't need.
