I've been a vapor for maybe a month now. I had been an on and off smoker since I was 13, 27 years. I've always been able to quit through willpower, until this last stint. I had been heavily smoking, getting up to about a pack a day (impressive when you consider I only smoked in the evenings when I got home, I will not smoke or vape at work), and having a hard time putting down analogs again. I knew that there had to be something out there to help me kick analogs that wasn't a pill, patch or gum. I started on blu's through ignorance but continued to smoke while using blu's.
I decided that there had to be something better, something that would get me off analogs. I did some research and came across pbusardo's website, there was a lot of great info on there. The Getting Started link had a lot of great info that was explained in a way that anyone who took the time could understand the confusing jargon that hits you when you're new to vaping. After watching some of his videos and finding a local vape shop, I got my first real setup. A vamo v3, a couple of kanger t3's and some juices, I haven't smoked an analog since.
I gave my son my vamo, so that he could quit as well, and picked up an svd with a carto tank. This is my preferred setup and I'm not looking back. Be prepared to take some time and experimentation to find what works for you. I've tried tanks, carto's and clearomizer's, different batts and mods. For right now, carto tanks with the SVD are the sweet spot for me (i have a phiniac on it's way to me, yay!) but I plan to start delving into mechanical's and rda's soon.
Even with all the money spent on trying different things, I did the math yesterday and I've still spent less on e-cigs then I would have on buying analogs. My lungs already feel better and I don't have to catch my breath after going up a flight of stairs.
Welcome and Happy Vaping. Keep persisting until you find the setup that works for you.
