My wife and I are both 20+ year analogers and have both had difficulty (mostly wanting to...) quitting. We have both ordered E-cigs after doing some pretty extensive research. I ordered the Kissbox extended from Janty on Saturday and she placed an order for a Titan from Totally Wicked.

I get it that this is not exactly like smoking, but I am bound and determined to leave analogs behind the same day my KB arrives. I am willing to deal with some withdrawl if it as least can satisfy the oral and nicotine addiction. The extended set seems to have everything I need to ensure I will not be left high and dry should a part malfunction or a battery die. I also understand that the batteries will need a long charge.

My questions:
1. am i setting myself for failure by setting a quit date the same day my kit arrives?
2. Does anyone have both the Titan and the KB that can comment on wihich they think we will like better?
3. can someone with experience with dripping on a KB tell me more about the technique?
4. Where can I find empty cartiges for the KB, the janty site seems to only have filled ones?

Thanks so much and look for my quit banner in the next week or so :D

Best of luck dbell
There is a learning curve to vaping. Do not give up. If you do not give up analogs the first day. That is OK..Keep trying.
I have both the KS and the Titan. They are different in the vaping and the taste. Titan is stronger vape and the KS is more flavor.
You can drip with the carts that come with the kits. The flavors mix giving slightly different flavor. You will need to buy some juice. Put some on the cart when you start to see vaping decreasing. Johnson Creek sampler is a good start for juice. They have blank carts also.
You will find that this is not the same as smoking. The taste is not the same nor is the "rush" of inhaling the smoke from an analog. You can satisfy your Nic. needs from vape though.
KS and Titan are the one of best e-cig to start with. Good choice.
Again good luck:)

I smoked real cigs for about 2 weeks while learning how to get the most out of my 510. Only 3-4 (down from a pack a day) but I figured I would finish up the packs I had left. Finally I just thought forget it and tossed them away. I didn't even want them anymore. Vaping gives me the nicotine and satisfaction I need and I couldn't be happier. Don't worry about having a cig while you get things sorted... if you are like most, you will eventually give them up entirely with little to no effort. Good luck to you!

I left 30+ years of analogs behind with an NJOY NCIG (801/penstyle) device. So it can be done. Soon after I quit, I ordered the Kissbox Classic and it produced better vapor and better throat hit than the NJOY. The manual switch made a huge difference in my vaping experience.

In an effort to further reproduce the analog experience, I built several high-voltage mods and found I enjoyed the 5+ volts much better than the typical 3.7ish volts. After months of evaluation, I sprung for a commercially available high-quality, high-voltage device (see my sig). Paired with a DIY straight passthrough, I am done purchasing devices. Finding 'your' perfect device is journey.

I didn't start vaping to quit, I started so I could smoke in the house and car. In about a week, I hated the taste of analogs and started hateing the smell. The fun part now is finding your favorite juice.
I have the kissbox and a 510. I could not tell you which one I like better. There is days I only want my Kissbox and days I smoke only the 510. You will be happy with both.

well now almost two weeks in, i have to say I aslo enjoy both the Janty Classic and the 501, with JC being my favorite. I still do analogs at work, but am down from about 20-25 a day to 3. despite some hiccups in getting all of my Janty parts (which they made good on, hats off to Janty USA) i fave found this the most reliable for big vapor production. I have ordered liquids from three companies (Janty, Wicked, and Johnson Creek), and JC seems to also taste best (several flaors). Thanks to all for your advice and support.

i have the titan 510...i hope you ordered the manual battery??? pressing the button to get your smoke instead of having to suck improves your smoking expierience 100%!!!! i have tried smoking everywhere, smokestik, and njoy....the titan 510[manual battery] is [BY FAR] the best i have tried. the other ecigs were frustrating. the titan has a great hit and lots of smoke!!!!! i went to the artsy fartsy store and got some polyester batton[this is the fiber in your e-cig cartridge]. i put new fiber in my e=cig cartrige every other day. also the titan ecig has a big filter with almost like an extended skinny part at the bottom of the filter. when i restuff my cartridge i dont put anything in that resevoir except fluid. i also dont make my cotton super tight as it seems to limit my fluid running through freely.
someone mentioned johnsons creek. i did a drip test on a plate with cloud9 e-juice and johnsons creek e-juice. i did this because i read of several complaints about JC juice clogging atomizers. JC juice is very thick but has awesome flavor cloud 9 is a bit thin juice. to fix the problem i did a 50/50 mix of JC and CLOUD9. this worked great and no more clogging problems. yes my atomizers were clogging. if this happens to you rinse your atomizer and blow the excess fluid from your atomizer. buying a can of canned air works extremely well and is easy. i highly suggest you do this every night. i do mean blowing it out[washing it every couple of days]. be sure its dry when you reuse...also use a small dropper to put drops on the {LENGTH} of the wick in the atomizer not just the tip because your atomizer is bone dry. before i figured out i needed to put drops along the entire length of the atomizer i spent a day dripping just from the top and thats about all that was getting soaked with fluid. it didnt matter how many drips i put in....after the tip got wet the rest would just run off the side and my smoked sucked as well as sucking a bit of that excess fuid into my mouth....awful taste!. turn atomizer on its side and be sure to get fluid along the whole length of your wick. anyways getting the more expensive manual batteries[longer lasting]. because of the manual button on the titan [manual batteries] you tend to take longer more satisfying drags thus running your batteries down quicker......its definitely worth it to get the longer lasting more pricey batteries. MANUAL BATTERIES ARE THE BEST. NO BLINKING LIGHTS TELLING YOU YOUR SMOKING TOO MUCH, THE ATOMIZER IS TOO HOT........YOU CAN FEEL YOUR ATOMIZER HEATING UP YOURSELF....JUST GIVE IT A FEW SECS TO COOL DOWN.
GOOD LUCK!

I agree. I got my 510s a couple of weeks ago but had almost a carton of cigs left. It took a while for the atomizers to kick in, and although I was vaping occasionally, the lure of the cigarettes was still there.

So I agree... feel free to use both e-cigs and smokes while you figure it out. I ran out of cigarettes 2 days ago and have not had much of an urge to go get more. Good luck.
