Yup!

I agree. Get a box of Boge of Smoktech single-coil cartomizers.

Do u know of any other good dual coil cartomizer brands?

I've tried the single coil before, no burnt taste, but.... the vape production and flavor wasn't good enough for me! Hahaha. In all honesty I don't really like single coils..

No. And I hate dual coils with a passion, so you're asking the wrong person here. :p

Nope thats the thing!

Pure Vapor sells VapeRev cartos individually!(In packs of course too)

But I've gotten each carto within a week from each other... which keeps me skeptical on the idea of ALL OF THEM being bad cartos from a bad patch....

Can't tell if you're shouting or what from some of your posts with parts in all caps.
If there has been a bad run then it doesn't matter that you bought them a week apart. A week is nothing - cartos from the same run can still be getting sold.
It's your cartos or your juice. And if you haven't changed your PG/VG ratio then the viscosity of your juice shouldn't be different. If your cartos are prepunched - which they appear to be - the holes in them may be different, meaning the feed is different, meaning your getting burnt hits because juice isn't feeding properly. Another issue could be with the coils.
Just get some different cartos.

I haven't been in the la Puente area for 20+ years. Lived in Rowland Heights when I was a kid. anyway.. The dual coils that I am using are from SmokTec which is what my local vape shop sells. Try a different brand. and if it happens with a different brand then something else is wrong. but I am willing to bet that there were just some bad ones that you got. and even though you had bought 3 of them at different times, that doesn't mean that they aren't from the same batch. and as just a suggestion, when you go to prime a new carto place it in the tank and fill it. cover the bottom where it connects to the vamo with your hand and (dry pull) inhale the liquid that way to prime. that is what I do and I don't have any issues.

you mean even when its dry?

Or did u mean after I initially prime it afterwards, i.e. primer puffs?

Dry pull = cartomizer in tank with juice in tank without firing the device. Just sucking the hell out of ur drip tip to pull juice into your cartomizer. If no more bubbles, stop dry pulling and vape away (I would suggest to start at 7 watts for awhile then proceed in increasing your power).

Yea, or in other words, primer puffs. Yes I've done this plenty of times before

I was, and am, quite calm.:) All caps is taken as shouting on the internet, and as I said I couldn't tell if you were shouting. Turns out you were angry.
I can understand its frustrating not getting the same vape you're used to. I think this could get over-complicated though. Its really about getting some new cartomizers.

No I really don't think its the cartomizers man.

UPDATE:

So since last updating let me tell you guys what I've done;

Ive primed and used 3 MORE new standard cartos and they've all got burnt...

Heres the kicker, I used 2 with the same juice BUT I bought a completely different juice and primed that new carto with this "new juice"

Sad to say I am still burning the hell out of my cartos EVEN at 8 watts on a 2.8 ohm dual coil carto..

I really think the problem is my vamo... I feel as though the center disk isn't working properly thus burning the .... out of anything I put on it.. THOUGHTS? New help? New questions?

I'm completely out of ideas and am very FRUSTRATED! :mad:

These 3 new standard cartos you primed and vaped on...were they the same brand? Same box? Same time of purchase? Same store that the bad ones were purchased from? It could be possible that the store actually has a few bad ones that you have so luckily purchased. As was said, try different cartomizers from different stores and see how it goes.

If it is your vamo...then it may have a bad circuitry where the chosen voltage/wattage maybe lower than what it's actually throwing off. Hence, the burnt results because the voltage/wattage is higher than what you chose.

It's not the cartomizers man.... I got 2 last week and a new one today from another shop. diff brand. it has 2 holes different sized..

Anywas to update on everyone AGAIN;

I think I found the problem, I really think its the Vamo and the connection post;

After checking the Ohms when I first put this recent cartomizer on it showed 2.9ohms, typical of standard rez dual coil cartos. After I primed it hit it, and yet again it burned, I decided to do some trouble shooting.. I re primed from the top, took primer puffs. I felt I needed to get more juice in, BUT to my surprise after inserting the cartomizer the 2ND time, the ohms read 2.3 ohms... ...?!?! Then after it tasted burnt and I hit it, I took it off tried to clean it out a little bit, and it now reads 2.7OHMS..... HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER SEEN THIS?!?!? I am tripping it and I really think my vamo is completely ....ed, as for the cause of all these burnt cartomizers..

Can anyone else confirm this? Maybe some input??

Thankss

An ohm reader from a device can change with usage. Coils will degrade, debris build up with the connection, a bit of juice on the connector that just throws off the reader, etc.

You've very adamant on it not being your priming methods, or even a bad batch of cartomizers, and you conclusively think it's your vamo that is defective. That said, maybe it is your Vamo? What can a forum do to help you except guide you to this advice; go back to the store you purchased your vamo and let them know of the problem. Hopefully they will have a solution for you.

Good luck.

I've very "adamant" on not being by priming methods or cartos for I have been using this setup for roughly 6 MONTHS! Not only that I have DONE other methods in which to prime cartos! I know how a carto should work trust me!

As far as the vamo goes, Yes I understand an Ohm reader can vary. I get that, Ive seen it vary by maybe .1 or .2 increments AT MOST, on my Vamo for the whole time I've ever had it... Now to say that going from 2.3ohms jumping to 2.7.. and now currently at 2.5 WHEN I originally saw it at 2.9ohms before the prime makes me very suspucious on believing that "just happens."

Trust me, Just because I am a new member on ECF does not mean I am a beginner in vaping by ANY STRETCH.

I soaked and primed cartos need to be to be ready to fire. And I am not surely believing HOW UNLIKELY it is that all these cartos I've used.. 6 CARTOS TO BE EXACT

ARE ALL DEFECTIVE

Especially since I've been using these same cartos EVER SINCE DECEMBER!!

Uh, Idk I just wanted help from people who might no the answer, but speculating on what IS NOT the answer is frustrating.

THanks for the help though.

Troubleshooting anything is a process of elimination. Since you are convinced that it's not the juice, the cartos, or the priming, then it must be the VAMO. However, you cannot reach that point conclusively unless you try your setup on another APV. If you don't have that problem on your backup APV, then you can conclude that it is the VAMO. If the same things happen on your backup APV, then it's not the VAMO, it's the cartos, the juice, the priming or some combination of those. These issues aren't that hard to figure out and it sounds like you've tried everything but a new battery. Only a new battery will allow you to be conclusive about your VAMO. Surely you have some other device to try out. Like others have said, it's not hard for me to believe that you could get a number of bad cartos. Sometimes the production methods change and mess up the cartos for a long period of time. Boge had this problem six months ago and produced bad cartos for several months. This is well documented. Good luck to you.

Makes sense and I truly appreciate the help,

However, how do you explain the ohm reader on my VAMO? Having it jump in such high increments as recently as an HOUR ago?

A Standard Rez Dual Coil cartomizer first reading, 2.9ohms then jumped down to 2.3, then 2.7, and now 2.6

That can't be a cartomizer issue, can it?

As you have stated you are not a beginner and mostly all who are not beginners know that a bad cartomizer can make the resistance/ohms jump all over the place. It may not even read it correctly to begin with.

I've tried to help as much as I can, but with you stating that our possible/questions/answers are all "speculating on what is not the answer" is not going to win you any more help from me. We do not know/see how,or what you do in regards to prepping the burnt cartomizers that you have nor do we know how well maintained your vamo is so we ask questions and possible scenarios, but for you to shut everyone out and still think its the device (vamo), then we can't help you anymore. I've posted before, go to the store you bought it from and let them know. Hopefully they can see what's going on and help you find a solution.

Good luck.

Ohms change all the time while vaping in even a single session for any number of reasons. I generally keep my readouts on resistance and it changes all the time. I do this by habit and it tells me that maybe my tank is too low, maybe I have a leak, I.e., juice where it shouldn't be, the coil may be going bad....whatever. Resistance is not always constant. I can tell from my vape if the power is ok or not, but the resistance clues me in to the real issues/problems. I notice changes all the time, and on a variety of devices. Maybe it's not supposed to work like that, but I see it every day.
