I started vaping years ago with the Ego-C, I soon upgraded to the Ego-C Twist, then to the iTaste MVP 2.0. After a while my Egos died and I replaced them with iTaste VVs. I upgraded my clearomizers to the Kanger T3Ds and used them for over a year. I had a friend get a sub ohm setup and decided I had to have one.

I did a fair amount of research, and ended up getting throughly confused and a bit frustrated. I understood the basics of mech versus regulated but I couldnt understand why some of these mods were over $100. I was wondering how could a mech mod cost $80 and not even come with a battery, how could an RDA cost over $100 while other cost less than $10, I bought my itaste VV for around $30 and my Kanger T3D for around $7. I decided to go to my local B&M and ask them. They immediately try to pressure me into buying a $150 mod, four $20 batteries, a $80 RDA, a $30 quad 18650 charger, 100 ft of 28ga Kanthal for $30, 20 organic cotton swatches for $1 each. With the price quickly breaking the $350 mark I bailed out. There was no way I would get into dripping if it was going to cost more than a car payment.

I ended up sitting back for nearly 3 months before running out of juice I normally ordered it online, but I didn't have enough to last until the next shipment arrived. I went down to the only other B&M in town and found that they had RDAs as well. I decided to start talking to him about the RDAs again and he suggested an inexpensive setup that would work great. He ended up selling me an istick 30w with a Stillare RDA, and 30ML of juice for $100 he threw in 10ft of 28 gauge kanthal, a bag of organic cotton for free.

In the following few weeks I rolled about 100 coils before getting one that worked right. I started doing a ton of research on RDAs, everything from how to build complex coils to how to wick properly. I soon discovered that the Stillare RDA is a $90+ RDA and I was sold a clone. Being new to RDAs I didn't know any better when I bought it, but it does bother me that it wasn't disclosed that it was a knock off, but there's nothing I can do about it now.

I have been dripping for about 2 months now, I've learned so much more about it and feel quite a bit more knowledgable. I am very interested in upgrading my setup. A new person I work with has a Sigelei 150W with a Mutation V2. I really like the setup but its far too big for me, and I do not like the fact that it does not have a pass through. He also said the 150W is way over kill and he vapes around 60-70W. I really want a smaller 50-80W mod with a single swappable 18650. I would prefer to have a pass through charger and I do not want unregulated. It has to be built to last, I deploy for 60 days at a time and cannot afford to have it break while on deployment.

I am looking for my best option. I have found the Sigelei Mini V2 50W, the Smok M50, M65, M60, IPV2 Mini. Are there another other options that I am missing?

Clones are great! Don't feel bad about the clone.. He should have told you but for that price it's kinda implied. If I bought a kayfun v4 at the B&M for 40 bucks I wouldn't expect it to be an authentic.

Anyways, stick to us. We'll steer you clear with no pressure. I hate going to vape shops, they are always pushing higher than Internet prices on me for gear they barely understand. If I'm gonna pay you more, you should know more. When I bring my audi to the audi specialist who charges 150/hr for diagnostic work, he's not a Chevy certified mechanic.

My next mod will most likely be an ipv mini. I would want at least an 80w for subohm so that you don't outgrow it. Since you're deploying for months at a time you should really have a backup mod too, something cheaper but reliable like an mvp 3. At the very least it will always work.
