I'm an expat living in Korea. The cheap cigarettes here are destroying my health (I was an occasional smoker back home where they are 4x the price, but have become pack-a-day in this very cigarette-friendly country), so I bought an ecig kit today. Problem is the salesman didn't speak English, so I'm not sure what kind of system I just bought and how to use it properly, aside from it being a 'tank' system. About all I could gather is that I need to replace the 'heater' thing with the wick every 2-3 weeks.

Also a 10ml bottle of the liquid is around $15 here, and very little selection (they want $20 for menthol). Looking online this seems VERY expensive compared to other countries. I guess I need to figure out how to import...

Help steering me to an applicable FAQ very much appreciated.

p.s. I got two batteries with it not pictured.

looks like a T2 kanger but I cant be sure.
and some cheap deal batteries.

my advice is that you are gonna spend more money in replacing them in the long run and eventually u might get sick of it and go back to analogs (the normal ones with smoke)

My advice to you is simple.
Consider this as a investment on your health. Do you buy cheap knock off durgs manufactured by unknown companies when you are sick?
I guess not.

Go for a eGo type Variable Voltage and a T3 kanger.
I promise you that you will absolutely love it.
Also get some good USP grade e-juice approved by the FDA (food and drug administration).

One place I found really good stuff and still using is apolloecigs.com

get their eGo variable voltage and T3 bottom coil clearomizer both will cost u a total of 29+6 so (35-37 USD) and these last really longer.
Also get a few replacement heads as you dont wanna spend much on shipping for multiple orders.

So my final suggestion.
Use this for the time being...
Place the order now it might get 20+ calendar days to reach you.

My order suggestion for maximum saving for you to go without fuss... is
1 eGo variable voltage
2 T3 Kanger Bottom coil clearomizers
3 -5 replacment heads for T3

and 2-4 30ml e-liquid bottles.
all the best and welcome to vaping.

other good places I can suggest you is madvapes.com and gotvapes.com

It looks like there's a name engraved on the battery casing. That might give a clue as to what the heck that thing is.

It says "EBACO" on the tank, and SMOQ KBM KOREA on the battery. Ebaco is the name of the store where I bought it, so I assume it's just a rebranding of some OEM produced system. The guy claimed this model was made in Korea (which the box also says so maybe true) and better than the otherwise identically priced made in China model that was similarly branded EBACO, but that's Koreans for you. But I'm really just looking for general operating instructions for this general kind of system: beyond refilling, which he demonstrated once, I have no idea about maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.

tank looks like a CE5 but has a atomizer from a smok redux on it as far as the battery goes it just looks like a knockoff ego battery in my opinion it looks better then a standard ego:)

as far as juice goes you should be able to find someone who will ship to you, your paying quite a bit for liquid and see no reason for them to charge more for mentol unless thats there top seller or something it dosent cost any more to make then the other juices.

So what should I look for in terms of basic operating instructions on YouTube or an FAQ or whatever? Is this what you'd call a "clearomizer"?

First night out with the ecig and very impressed. 8pm to 6am (they party hard here) and I didn't empty a battery or the tank. I'd have smoked +2 packs of smokes in that time and would have pooched lungs to boot. My only minor complaint is that even with the 12mg strength stuff I bought I seem to get way more of a nicotine buzz than I'm used to (don't normally notice this kind of buzz at all unless I'm smoking cigarillos, or the times I've tried oral tobacco). Will try to find something lighter in the future. Can hardly believe people on here consume stuff +3x as strong!

You went out partying and didn't smoke! That's a huge step, congrats!

Not sure why anyone would miss cigarettes, with the coughing and the smell, when ecigs are a more than perfect substitute (aside from being fiddly to fill)

koreans definitely love their cigarettes. i had a friend who came back from visiting his family in korea and brought back a suitcase full of korean cigarettes. its crazy how they market it over there. some of the cigarette boxes would teach you english words. so random

Pat yourself on the back, friend, that's an awesome improvement over analogs (real cigs with 4,000 chemicals). The one chemical you're dealing with now at 12mg strength is only 2/3 as strong as the nicotine in a normal (full-strength) cigarette. If you want ultimate control over your vaping and can find the components to mix the e-liquid yourself, I'd highly recommend it. You'll save money and be able to "dial in" the exact amount of nic and flavors to suit your needs. In any case, kudos!
