Definitely give vaping a try. I tried the patch and chantex and neither worked for me.

With vaping, no withdraws at all.

I can only tell you what worked for me- I got a Joye ego from liberty flights and a box of boge cartomizers. Cost $29.99 plus the cartomizers plus a bottle of juice. A Riva ego is really the same thing but costs $10 less. You fill the cartomizer with juice, place it on the battery and you're good to go. Battery lasts about 8 hours.

There are other types and styles but this is a very versatile pv that gives you a good vape and it's very inexpensive.

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

There are Many excellent juice vendors. Off the top of my head, I'd recommend Backwoods Brew. Great quality tobacco and non-tobacco juices in different nicotine levels.

E cigs work best when viewed as an alternative to smoking.
I don't know your location but if it's the US - Smokeless Image's Volt starter kits (you want one with two batteries) are relatively cheap and provide a good hit for their size. The main advantage is that they are cigarette shaped/sized and have decent auto batteries so the transition is as 'normal' as possible.
In the UK JAC vapour do a similar product.
There are products with bigger batteries - but they really are big like large cigars - you may feel self conscious using them? The advantage of these is that you won't have to recharge the batteries as often.
Ultimately there's plenty of choice and e-cigs do work - a decent starter kit won't cost much move than a week of smoking real ones, sometimes less.
Make sure you check in here again before you purchase - there are discount codes at most vendors and we'll make sure you don't pay over the odds

In the quest to suggest the pv that you happen to use and like I really wish people would stick to the facts and not feel the need to thow digs at other models. The ego doesn't look like a cigar, isn't the size of a cigar and certainly doesn't make someone look any more self concious using one than any other model. It's the size of a sharpie. The battery is bigger.

They are alot better than the patch or Chantix if by "better" you mean hits the spot and satisfies.

Do your research here first though - there is a lot of crap out there with NAME brands and "WE ARE THE BEST" and faux "testimonials" - everybody wants to make a buck or 50 or 200 off people.

One easy one to look at - SmokelessImage Volt or Vapro4Life.com (two versions of the same model KR808D-1). I recommend manual batteries though the button is quite small on the Volt. You can keep prefilled cartomizers damp wuth eliquid and game up to a week or use out of each. And there are blank cartomizers for juices you get elsewhere. KR808D-1 is a real 3.7v slim ecig.

Congrats on quitting, With the use of a PV, I quit smoking after 25 years. No other methods seemed to work for me. Everyone is different. But do spend some time here, the people are nice and will answer your questions. There is so much information. I actually took two weeks lurking on this forum before I took the plunge. No matter what method you find to help you. I wish you the very best.

Nothing tougher than trying to quit analogs cold turkey...I never made it past 3 days:( I missed the action of smoking...the habit I had developed for 25 years.

Almost 6 weeks ago I decided to try to quit again...heard about ecigs and jumped right in...to an overpriced device.

Found the ECF forum and started reading...and reading...and reading.

Bought a slim 510 and battery tube Mod...haven't touched an analog since...WOW...just freaking incredible and never thought it would happen for me. I tell people about ecigs every chance I get and have brought 2 people over to the analog free lifestyle...and counting:vapor:
