I'd just like to introduce myself, my name's nick and after being an avid ECF junkie for many months, I finally decided to create an account and get to know all my fellow vaper's out there :vapor:

I started vaping back with an old slim style luci started kit back in late 2009 and let me just tell you, that has to be the absolute worst excuse for an alternative to analog smoking that has ever hit the market lol. I quickly (within a week) upgraded to a joye 510 manual operated battery and I liked it and vaped exclusively for about a month, at which point the battery life started to go down and I was finding myself having to charge the batteries after every 3 hours or so and I just stopped using them altogether and went back to analogs for another 2 years.

about 2 months ago I decided to give vaping another try and to see how the technology had advanced in my 2 year hiatus from vaping, and quickly discovered joye ego and ego t's but kept reading reviews and saw a video posted by grimmgreen reviewing the kgo and I ordered that and have been smoke free ever since I got my kgo kit from hoosier, but now I find myself falling into that "mod binge" that so many of you seem to describe and am constantly looking for something else to toy around with to find an even better vaping experience. After researching alot on here and watching yt review videos of various mods and weighing the pros and cons I decided to finally bite the bullet and order a provari v2(due to arrive tomorrow!) instead of going through the normal progression of going from mini's to mid's to various mods and just go straight to what seems to be the gold standard :)

I have a pack of smokTech 1.7ohm dcc and a pack of boge 2ohm scc and I'm curious if anyone could tell me what kind of volts these things max out at.

Also, why is it that I cant really post *anywhere* except in the new member forum? do I have to earn the right to post in other areas or something? and if yes, how?

I decided to order all of the pieces seperate because the kit came standard with 18500 batts I believe and I wanted an 18650 setup, I would like to know if I got everything i need to start up with the provari, as said earlier I already have a few packs of cartos and juice. Should i spring for the 45 dollar charger they have on their site or is the 15 dollar one I got good enough?

Welcome and Congrats on your first 2 months!

I started out with a couple of eGos and went right to the ProVari also, I knew eventually I would get one so I might as well skip the middle steps and go for the gold. It is a great device, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Maxing out a carto is more a matter of taste than a limit on the PV, I've read some people use 2.0 ohm cartos at 5 volts, I run them a 3.5 volts, in general I find the lower the ohm rating the lower the voltage I need. It won't take long and you'll find the right setting for your juices and carto combinations, and it's fun figuring it out!

Best of Luck going forward, and enjoy your new toy.

I got my provari today and my goodness I've found my vaping match in heaven. I cant believe how small it is even with the 18650 extension.. its not much bigger than my kgo at all, just wider and heavier. I love how solid it feels, definitly a quality product. I also love how the voltage doesn't drop during use, which was the main reason I got it. woot!

Hi roobs nice to meet you.

I just ordered directly from ProVape E-Cigarettes: Buy Electronic Cigarettes & Smokeless Cigarettes and I'm not sure if you can get it at any other vendor so I wouldn't know. Lol I was jealous reading all of the other reviews before I got it, I heard nothing but raves about it so I had to have it :vapor: It is worth every red cent I assure you.

Hi nansc and terex, thank you :)

terex, I assure you.. I had the same concerns as you with the provari before I actually held it, it is atleast half the size I originally thought from pictures and videos.. the camera really does add 10 lbs when it comes to alot of these vv mods, the v2 I have with the extension cap is extremely pocket friendly.
