New to forum..cotton wick problems =/

hey guys! new guy to the forums. currently vaping for 3 months strong and havent had a cigarette since. im vaping on a smok rda with a smok telescope mod. i did necessary mods to the rda but when it comes to using cotton wick and 30g aw1 kanthal, 3/3 wrap (1.2 ohm), i barely get any vapor. i currently use the silica wick and 30g kanthal and i get clouds for days. anyone have some advice for me? my guess is just get a different wire.

possibly. i read somewhere on this forum (before i signed up) that someone was using the peaches and cream brand cotton from walmart, which i bought. i also saw cotton gauze but idk how that would of turned out

Serious question.. if you are getting good performance from silica why switch? Is there something about cotton that is inherently better?

i read up somewhere in this forum about silica wick being shedding fibers. dont know if i want to be inhaling that, although i dont think fibers will go airborne if already soaked in juices. plus, cotton is a hell of a lot cheaper and im looking into mods that can get me clouds

also when rebuilding coils, the cotton is apparently much cheaper than silica wicks.

true..im still going through trial and error. i was able to get one wick assembly to workout great. everything i made after that was just garbage.
