New to Forum. Experienced vaper

Just signed up to the forum. I have been vaping since Feb. 2014 and have read a lot of information since then here at the forum. I use a Vamo V5 with purple efest 18650 3100mah 20amp batteries. I have a Kangertech Aerotank v1 and a mini Nautilus with BVC coils. I would like to see if any other users here have come across this issue and what is the best way to proceed. I have noticed that with this setup when I press the fire button it takes a few seconds for the coil to fire. This does not happen all the time but more often than not. Is this happening because of my Vamo contacts? or perhaps the efest batteries or the coils? Since efest is a good battery and this happens on both tanks/coils I would think it is because of the Vamo. When I use my friends Aspire CF VV battery with his mini Nautilus it fires right away. So perhaps because of the computer circuit in my Vamo it takes a few seconds for the electricity to travel to the coil? What do you guys think?
I guess my option would be to buy another battery like the Aspire VV or perhaps my first mechanical mod. I will take a look at the other areas of this forum to decide on my next battery.

I don't have any experience with the hardware you are using, would like to welcome you to the forum.

I own vamo 2vs, v3, and v5. The fire button on my oldest v2 has become very intermittent and no longer clicks when fired. It will still vape but you have to find the 'sweet spot' of the button to fire it consistently. This sounds like what you are experiencing.
With the vamos I own the fire button looses it's click and some months later the button begins misfiring.
Vamos are a "cheap" full featured PV, so they don't last forever.
Also note that the vamo is not the only mod with fire button issues. If you choose to go with a different mod do some homework on reliability issues.

the VAMO, while a great beginners device, definitely isn't known for its longevity. if you're looking to take the next step and are considering venturing into the world of mechanicals and rebuildables, i would suggest getting yourself a higher end regulated device that will ahndle your everyday tanks as well as rebuildables.

the best options that come to mind are either the Sigelli 50 or 100 watt boxes, or the IPV2 or 3 by PIONEER4YOU. they're definitely a little more pricey than a vamo, but they're going to give you all the choices in the world concerning what you want to put on top of them.

Thanks for the options! I was also thinking about moving to a box mod. How is the Eleaf Istick? I will read more about it but I think I will try out a decent quality mech mod clone. I dont really see the point of spending over $200 for a mod that may work as good as one under $100.

+1 on the iStick, I bought one recently and haven't looked back since. It's a really nice device for mid-level vaping. It is no mech, however, it will keep you satisfied all day. AND at $35.... you're not breaking the bank either.
