Yes - start mixes with 10ml size.
Vary each 10ml mix by a small amount after sampling the previous attempt.
And the flavor % you are using is relatively low.
Not to say it's not right - each person has their own tastes.
I usually mix with 10%-16% total flavorings.
Like 6% primary flavor, and then 4-6% of total complementary flavors.

You know that ^^^^ is usually overlooked by members who have vaped longer. New vapers that use commercial ejuice are used to higher more sugary flavors. That's because their taste buds have not had time yet to heal from smoking. I am just as guilty of that as the next. Thanks for bringing that to the forefront. Good job.

FX Watermelon 5% and TFA Ripe Strawberry 3% would be a good starting point for a snv. TFA Fruit Circles at 8% should be a good vape after 12 hours.
You keep asking how long to steep. Some take a few weeks, some take a couple weeks, some take a couple of days. Join ELR Recipes forum so you can research your flavors easier. They have great tools that are very useful for us newbs.

Thanks for all the help guys. I am really enjoying making my own juice. Is the brand of flavors I am using a good one? Seemed to have a lot of good reviews
Yes they are. Just know that the Signature ones are being resold by ecigexpress. They are originally made by the flavor maker TPA-The Flavor Apprentice.

Nothing wrong in doing that, just an FYI.

It's going to need at LEAST a couple weeks for steeping probably. I didn't see what sweetener you used, was it ethyl maltol or sucralose. If it's EM, that can mute some flavors. To me, 20 drops of sweetener seems like a LOT, but I am a "reluctant" sweetener. I use FA supersweet (which is sucralose) and in 90 ml bottles, I really at max use 4 or 5 drops of sweetener, and often you can get more "depth" in recipes by using marshmallow, merengue or cotton candy which are all fairly sweet in their own right.

Just... break it down into smaller bottles, let them all steep and try one after ONE WEEK and see if you notice changes. If you try using it now, you may be tempted to think that it isn't "strong" enough (although I will agree that when coming from storebought juices, sometimes more flavoring percentage is needed at first) but since you've started with one recipe I would really not add to it (at least not the whole thing) if you want to set aside one smaller bottle to steep and add a small amount of a flavor that doesn't require a huge steep time that might be complimentary to what you have (fruits and berries mostly) you could try that, but you still aren't really going to get a good sense of anything MUCH until some steeping has happened. Shake often, that will speed up steeping time slightly.

Best of luck,

Anna

How long do you let something steep?

That's Hard to say? But here is something to consider...

Have you ever heard the phrase that something is "Increasing at a Decreasing Rate"? This is Graphical Example of what that would look like. Where the Horizontal Axis would represent Time. And the Vertical Axis would represent Flavor.

    Steeping_Time.jpg

To Me, Many Non-Tobacco Flavorings behave this way when steeped. In that you get a Huge Increase/Change in Flavor in the first Couple of Days, but then the amount of change Falls Off as time goes by. To a Point where there might Not be an Noticeable Change after 15 or 20 Days.

Of course, this is All Subjective. And some will say that certain flavors Need more time that others.

But for Me, using the types of Flavorings you listed on Your recipe, I would think that you would see the Greatest Change in the First 3 ~ 5 Days. And by the time you get to 2 Weeks, the amount of Change might not be all that Noticeable anymore.

Hello. I just made my first batch of ejuice last night. The recipe is shown in the picture. Unfortunatly, it doesn't have a lot of flavor. Everything I have read online says not to add much more flavor, because more doesn't always mean more flavorful. Any suggestions? What did I do wrong? I also added about 20 drops of sweetner to a 120ML bottle.
    Welcome and glad you joined.
You have not made any mistakes that thousands have not already made, if you want to save money and headaches, you really need to read and study.

I let everything steep 4 weeks minimum. If the recipes is bad after that, it's a bad recipe for me.

Your recipe looks just fine and I don't think less then 1% sweetener is to much (20 drops in 120ml = less then 1%). Looks like all it needs is 3 - 4 weeks of steeping. Good job on your first recipe and welcome to ecf.

As a side note TFA flavors take a while to mature.

Yes many recipes won't mature for 2--4 weeks, although some flavors are more forgiving and there are "shake-and-vape" flavorings. This can be frustrating (the wait) especially with one's first DIY, but really I'd wait at least a week to even get SOME kind of idea about what your flavoring is going to be like. Some of the simple berry flavors with some sweetener (be it sucralose, or another sweet flavor like marshmallow or merengue or cotton candy) can be used more quickly (perhaps a few days) if you find yourself getting impatient.

If you add more too early, you may end up unhappy with the final product, and then not be sure what you did incorrectly. Best of luck,

    Anna

Recipe looks fine but with all that cream it should take at least two weeks to settle in. Sweetener shouldnt be an issue. Some commercial juices are 2-5%. I personally use CAP super sweet but it really doesnt matter. .5 of super sweet is about the same as 1% TFA. I never use cotton candy as a sweetener simply because it is just EM and that can mute some flavors because its already in a lot of flavors
