i just purchased a sentinel m16 (clone) nd i trident v12 (clone) online. it say it come with extra wicks and wires. do you guys think this wicks and wires are ok to use. or would the organic cotton ball from cvs work better. is there any where i can buy kanthel wire locally?

p.s i already have a efest imr18650 battery from my old vamo kanger pro setup. just want some opinion on this setup

Thanks in advance

Where I live, wire from the local vape shops are very expensive compared to online, and just a warning, I wouldnt use the prebuilt setup in the Trident, I made the mistake of testing the draw on it and got a nasty mouthful. Had to rinse it out WELL for a few minutes. Most commonly used wire is 28ga and 30ga resistance wire, it can be found on ebay or temcoindustrial.com. and I personally use sterile cotton balls from the cvs, walgreens is fine too

If you have an older Efest18650 (2250mAh) the maximum discharge rate of those batteries is 10 Amps.

Be sure to not build dual coil set-ups that measure out lower than .6Ω. .5Ω is pushing them, and seeing as they are "old" batteries you are going to tax them and kill them off pretty quickly that way. (higher internal resistance = weak ... vape; plus they won't hold the charge very long)

Just throwing this info your way, as the Trident is mainly a dual coil RDA. Dual coils measure out at half the resistance of the two coils, so it's pretty easy to measure out with very low resistance. Watch out for that.

You might build a 5/4 wrap single coil that measure at .6Ω resistance, but if you mounted two of those coil builds in a dual coil set-up, it will measure out to .3Ω resistance. You'd have to build two 10/9 wrap coils with a dual coil set-up to get something in the same neighborhood as the .6Ω single coil. Make sense?

Be safe.

google shopping is an amazing tool.
and yes, id use cotton. rip out those prebuild coils, they're probably garbage.
i use Sony VTC4's, VTC5's just hit the market recently i believe and they're i think 50 amp. but 30 amps should be well within your safety range. really the best way to learn is youtube. grimmgreen is super informative.

good luck and have fun! i absolutely love rebuilding coils.

ETA: i was wrong looks like VTC5 is still 30 amp. judging from that link above me
