The juice is fed through a hole in the cartomizer that you can easily punch with a hammer and nail. It is a simple concept and works perfectly. I recommend only punch 1 hole in the cartomizer as two holes let in too much juice. There are videos on youtube that explain how to punch a cartomizer.

As far as batteries go the AW IMR 18650 are the best (noticeably better than Trustfires). I use Tenergy 3.0 volt NiMH batteries for 6 volt vaping. And so far the 4.8 volt NiMH are only made by one supplier (I get mine from Clouds of Vapor).

Hope this helps and happy vaping!!!
The one versus two hole issue can depend on the kind of juice you're using. The thicker the juice, the more you may want to have two holes or a larger diameter single hole. Remember not to punch too deep, just through the surface of the carto. If you punch too deep you will leak continually.

As for batteries, I prefer the AW IC 18650 at 2600mAh. They actually hold up better than the 2900mAh, but you may need to add a magnet on the button. The button top on the AW's is pretty short and I can't get them to connect in my OMeGa or Silver Bullet. I have no trouble with the UltraFire or TrustFire. Charge it up in the evening and put a fresh one in every morning. Have half a dozen in rotation so they never completely discharge. The AW's are great batteries and probably safer, don't get me wrong, but I can get Ultra or TrustFires four for the price of one of the IC's or two for the price of one IMR.
