My friend has an 18650 30 amp battery. I just got a Hades with a 40 amp battery and I'm using a patriot rda. His rips much harder than mine though! I have a guy who builds coils for me. I want mine to give that same warm and large quantity of vapor that my friends does. I assume this is possible since our rda's seem very similar, and I have a higher power device.

What is a good ohm resistance for my patriot (in your opinion) if I want to really enjoy a warm full vapor on a 40 amp 26650?

Thanks!

Sigh... please, answer that question yourself before you keep using unregulated mods.

Woooo.

Now, that is embarrassing, ain't it Gitum? It's not going to stop either. How will you, in the future, avoid the harsh reality of additional verbal smacks in the face, when you ask questions like that? Easy. OK... maybe not that easy. You have to earn the title "advanced vapist".

1. Click on my second sig line hyperlink. Read the article, and all articles linked within. Do that twice... maybe 3 times.
2. Go buy a DMM (and learn how to use it), an ohm build box and some Kanthal A1 from Temco, in gauges 24-28. If you can't make one, buy one of those manual wire wrapping fixtures - to make your life slightly easier.
Buy some Cellucotton (rayon), some organic cotton balls, some German silica, and an ounce or so of both ramie and hemp fiber. (Hey... who knows what you'll like, right?)
3. See #1 Repeat instructions - with newly purchased goodies in front of you... as educational aids - until you are pretty comfy with the whole concept.
4. Anything you don't understand? PM me. Seriously. Hell... PM suspectK for that matter... he's mostly concerned for your safety anyway.
5. You now qualify to be considered for an "advanced vapist" permit. Congrats!
6. Build coils to "desired" resistance.
7. Vape your .... off.

Or - continue to be "called on the carpet" when you demonstrate your lack of knowledge about devices that can be truly dangerous to the uneducated and uninformed.

Otherwise... have fun! ;-)

You need to be fully involved with the build in your device before you can troubleshoot any issues.

What sort of coils is your guy building for you? What design coil? What sort of wicking material? What's the ohms, the gauge of wire, the resistance, the coil diameter? Double or single coils? Round wire, flat wire, Kanthal, Nichrome, Gplat?

Before "we" can troubleshoot, "we" need to know what you're doing....

It would be irresponsible to offer advice without knowing the details of the issues you're having.

OP, it's all about supplying the right amount of airflow - proportional to the heat applied. If you have 3mm holes hitting 20 watts, your vapor is going to be weak..3mm holes at 40-50watts is when it starts to get warm. Supply adequate wicking, and you're golden.

It's not all about resistance like k tech stated.

What battery are you using? "40Amp...." isn't going to cut it. There's more than one Amp rating, not to be confused with Amp hour rating- typically in mAh 'round these parts. Plus, the battery type is important to corroborate these specs.

^yeah..OP. that was harsh for my first statement. I'm having issues again..:/ sucks..

Just know it wasn't cuz I think you're stupid. I grew up around high voltage..so vaping was easy to pick up... once I dropped the stock coil b.s...electrical theory doesn't apply to everyone's livelihood..but shop owners, and people that get people into mechs, should make sure they're ready to fly...

I hope my statement didn't cause us to lose a member, but it frustrates me. Shop owners are the problem... and I get ...... at gitum, that just wants to enjoy vaping.

May I offer some perspective. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...83531-beginners-ignorance-sub-ohm-vaping.html

First off, we're glad you came here looking for information. We see a lot of posts from new vapers getting into sub-ohms without the proper knowledge about ohm's law and the appropriate batteries to use. We get frustrated. Myself included. Appologies offered.

I don't know anything about a Hades mod or which battery you may have, so I'll decline to offer you any info.
