Hi all

I want to take a shot at rebuilding my coils. I have a Kanger Genitank and a bunch of used (newer style) coils.

I've researched rebuilding and watched every YouTube demo I could find.

I want to experiment with the vaping experience between 1.5 - 2.2 ohm coils and single vs double coils.

The one thing I'm not sure of is what gage Kanthal to get to accomplish my above goals.

Would love to hear thoughts on what gage to start with and advantages/disadvantages of the different gage's.

Hello, I have been rebuilding my kanger heads for a while now and I like 30 guage around a 1/16 drill bit with 7/8 wraps which ohms around 1.8 ohms. Then Japan cotton wick. They work great in protank and ego batteries. They are my running around gear when I travel for work.

I build my kayfun lower, but it works great at 1.2ohms for me with 28 gauge.

Get an ohm reader and check your builds.

28g 6/7 wrapped around that little screw driver that comes with the RTA's. I always test at .8 ohms. Single or dual, I seem to get good vape (for me) on any of mine. RDA's and RTA's. Also started rebuilding the factory atty's (all types) for my other factory tanks (all types). I've got a bit of a collection for me to type them all out....:)
