Hey guys,

Scroll to bottom for questions or read my full post :p

So I was told in a private message by some other member to come here, introduce myself and poke around.

First things first, I started vaping about 2 years ago and then stopped, went back to analogs for a year and now am serious about vaping. My problem with vaping was that, everything I tried was too inconvenient. I disliked dripping due to have to carry the bottles and such, didn't like the foam cartomizers because of burning/taste and then was extremely happy to try the CE-2 cartomizers which ended up being the biggest pain and waste of time/energy/money.

Now that I am getting back into e-cigs, I figured I would plunge in the $$ and buy a REO Grand because of the bottom feeding idea. I figure I will have the juice always with me, no dripping and ease of use. Now with my questions:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I smoke about 10 cigarettes a day, give or take. When I did vape and enjoy it, I was using an ego at 3.7 volts. Never saw a need to go to 6 or anything. So, if I want to stay at 3.7 volts on the REO Grand, should I get a low resistance atomizer? What is your favorite combo for the REO Grand?

2nd, what exactly is the deal with the 6ml bottles? Can I buy some on this forum that fit the REO? Does anyone on this specific board have ones to sell me?

3rd, I have read some methods but what works best with you? Squeeze a little, give a dry vape and then puff?

4th, does anyone have extra batteries, atomizers and bottles for sale? I will be happy to take some things off your hands as a newb!

Thank you and I will report back on my success!

Harrison

1. My favorite atomizer for the REO Grand would be a Cisco 306 LR 2.0 atty:

LR306 Low Resistance Atomizer 2.0 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper

With an XL Delrin Drip tip:

XL306 Contoured LR306 Delrin® Drip Tip - Avid Vaper

LR is intended to be used to "simulate" high voltage vaping and so. I'm not to sure if you like that or not but the 2.0's is going to be comparable to something like 4.2V but it does give you a little kick.

One question. Did you use any low resistance atomizers or cartomizers with your ego? Just asking since, if you liked them then. Your going to love them now since your going to be dealing with a TRUE 3.7 device.

2. Well, you can get the 6ml bottles from here:
6 ml LDPE Squeezable Plastic Dropper Bottles #25 | eBay

25 of them for basically 11 bucks.

3. The method I use is something called the, "blind squonk". Which involves you taking a draw without pushing the button while lightly squeezing the bottle. When you feel some resistance or hear a gurgle. Then your good to go. Works excellent while driving or anything else for that matter. I find it extremely annoying to do it the other way and it never worked for me.

4. Your best bet would be Classifieds. Always somebody trying to get rid of something:

Also remember to read this to find out who you should NOT buy from:

I personally never buy anything off of classifieds but a lot of people here do. Just be careful and you should get a great deal if you look around long enough.

Hey Harrison! The Grand is a great choice.

For batteries, charger, bottles, drip tips, and atomizers, you can look around at RTD Vapor.

If you prefer cartos, check out Crystal Clear Vaping. They have drip tips too, and small selection of juice.

A general rule of thumb for choosing the right resistance atty/carto is 1.5 - 1.8 ohm for tobacco flavors and 2.0 to 2.5 ohm for desert/fruit/sweet flavors. You'll have to experiment a bit to discover what works best for your tastes.

The AW IMR 18650 is the battery Rob recommends for the Grand and you shouldn't let the lower mAh dissuade you from using it.

If you decide to try 306 atomizers, I suggest starting out with a transparent drip tip so you can see your juice when you feed your atty. They vape wonderfully, but are less forgiving if you run them too dry or flood them.

Happy vaping.

I receintly purchased a mini reo and I have to say ...that was the best investment I have ever made. I too had the same issues as you being the whole inconveinience of it all and went back to analogs for quite a while. I also hated any kind of cartos...burn tastes...yuck...but I tried a carto on my reo after watchig a video.

I work 12 hour days and nights at my job. My uniform consists of pants with cargo pockets. I was having trouble with the atties spilling a little liquid while jiggling around in my pocket ( I walk alot stairs ect). I tried the cartos and No spills ...very clean and the reo makes them work perfect. I am one happy camper!
