Yea I do. To me the current set up isn't big enough. As in the coils are too small. But as I said this is my first so just looking a few hints and tips. Wider diameter? More wraps that kind of think. 26 a good wore to use or 28 recommended better. I'm really just interested in clouds with a bit of flavour. I'm running at 30watts but its going through juice like mad. Say every 4pulls I need to drip again

Probably because of the way that you have it wicked. Your cotton is significantly restricting the airflow. Try it with more space in front and underneath the coils for air to flow.

ETA: Do a center post build. Even easier with the four post holes.

Basically try pull the coils into the middle more and with the wicks have it even on both sides and just tuck them down a bit instead of tucking wick everywhere?

Yes. Definitely don't just tuck wick everywhere. Use the far hole of the center post on each side to make it easy to center your coils right there in front of the center post block. You can stick your screwdriver (if thats what you are using to wrap) in the coil and just push it in the center. Then put the wick through the coils and cut it pretty much right at the edge of the base of the deck on each side. Then tuck the ends under the coil but push them out to the sides so that there is no wick directly underneath the coil. You should be able to look under the coil before you put the barrel on and see the center post there. Also make sure no wick in front of the coil. Try it like that and it will hit much better.

ETA: You also should heat and get the coils perfect before you put the wick through, but I assume you already know that.

Great thanks for the advice will try it tonight. Also thinking of doing a different build (still using 26awg though) at thoughts? Still looking dual build keep it simple maybe bigger diameter? More wraps? Looking to build a few before I try a dual parallel lol

I like the diameter and the number of wraps... in fact I would do it with 6 wraps of 24 gauge. But I use unregulated mods. I think your current build would work great if you did it with the wick change and a centered the coils. But you could do it the same way with a parallel coil as well.

Yea I like it at the moment because it fires instantly with no delay and it's not too warm of a vape. Was just thininking thicker diameter to let more wick (cotton) trough the coil. And more wraps obviously to increase surface area and therefore more clouds. But I could be wrong

With a regulated mod you can put some more wraps on it, you would just need to turn up the power.

For my RDA's I wrap my coils with a 3mm inside diameter. I was using something quite a bit smaller before, around 1.8mm. The larger space in the coil allows the cotton to be a bit less constricted so the juice can get to the coil easier. Also allows for easier wicking of the thicker juices typically used for dripping.

With a regulated mod like yours, you should be fine building around .5 Ohms. I would recommend using the Steam Engine tool, which works well and gets you basically in the ballpark of where you want your build to be. It takes out the guess work. It will be especially helpful if you want to start doing some fancier builds like quad coils and dual parallel.

Hi yea that what I was thinking but will try it another time just made new ones and centered them more reading at .45 ohms. Yea I have that app it's great. Yes this box is regulated and can fire down to .1 ohm so should be safe. Here's the new coils centered

I don't know why it looks purple lol but its not

Hopefully that's done okaym only my second build so go easy haha. .46 ohms centered as best I could and wicks only tucked into the side.

Looking pretty good, especially considering it's your second build.

One of the things I think I'm seeing here, but it's not really clear so I could be wrong, is that you are putting the positive legs of each coil into the hole right next to the negative post you used... I'm gonna try to make a crappy drawing in MS Paint and see if I can depict what I am trying to say here, cause I have a feeling my words will be too confusing... LoL

Alright, that's not as bad as I thought it was gonna be...

From what I can see with your build, if you look at my crappy diagram it looks like you have the positive and negative legs of Coil A going to post holes 1 and 2.

In order to help with the centering of the coils, use alternating post holes. So, like in the diagram, put the positive leg in hole 3, and the negative leg in hole 1.

You don't have to use the positive post hole right next to the negative post. Hope that makes sense? If it's too confusing, just ignore all this... LoL
