Good morning,
I just wanted to give a quick intro. I found the forum, lurking for while and looking for various new things to try. I had not been happy with my vape experience lately. I was tinkering too much and just not getting that throat hit I was looking for.
I started vaping quite a ways back with a 901, and direct dripping on the atty. Yeah, that just wasn't working for me and I quit vaping. Well I started up again in March (I think) with an ego tank setup and WOW what a difference.
This opened a whole new world for me. I went from 1.5-2 packs a day down to 5 analogs. I've been smoking 30 years. I suppose I would be best described as a die hard smoker. The more you piss and moan about my smoking, the more I want to smoke
Or I could just be hard headed...
My wife is more hard headed than I..... Err uhh. "determined" to not be forced to quit.
Anyway, we have done quite well this round with the ecig tank setups. She never smoked as much as me and doesn't vape as much as me either.
Recently I had been having trouble with cartomizer consistency, longevity, quality control etc. Each carto which typically last me about two weeks was totally different from the last. I tried lower resistance single and dual coils. So I am/was on the hunt for a better quality and more consistent setup. I believe at this point that I was trying to put too much power to the carto. I picked up a VV at a higher ohm than I was using for my tank carto's and got a 100% better hit. Now we are on to something. However, the VV has been a leaky Biotch! and driving me crazy. I have a friend that uses them exclusively and never has a problem. I think this was just a one off issue and I do have another but haven't tried it yet.
My current setup is a ego twist (1000 mah) and a Kanger T2. I just got the T2 last night but so far it has been the best to date. I have never had such a smooth, consistent vape. I still can't get over how smooth this thing hits. The twist has been just a revelation being able to fine tune my voltage and dial in a carto like I want it. In an affordable unit I might add. (T2 at 3.3v for the record)
Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it
I still have those times where I want an analog. 1st cup of coffee of the day, after I eat, if I get really ...... off at the office, etc. The ecig has definitely helped me and I can envision giving up the analogs. I have been smoking an analog and reached for my ecig....
Online ecig stores I like:
Madvapes: When they are out of stock I use Carolinavapes. Carolina had the T2 but not extra cartos at the time and Madvapes didn't have them at all or the twist. However, I highly recommend both places. Great customer service and mostly good prices.
I ended up purchasing the twist from altcig. Clean transaction, quick shipping, decent prices no complaints.
I found the T2 with extra cartos at Stormy's. From my first and only purchase I can't say enough about them. I asked a question in my order instructions and had a reply in 10-15 minutes. I had a tracking number in under an hour. It was probably more like 1/2 hour but I was at work and not watching the clock.
I've been getting juice from madvapes. I purchased a bottle from stormy's with my order and both seem pretty decent. I have ordered juice from Pinkspot and while their juice, customer service, etc. is top notch, they are entirely too expensive for me.
I have found that I'm not crazy about the standard tobacco flavors which surprises me about myself. USA is a decent tobacco flavor and I have mixed which isn't bad. My everyday juices are Very Berry and Grandpa's mix from Madvapes. I purchased wild berry from Stormy's and I like that as well. I also like the lemonaids, raspberry, cherry, etc.
There's my intro. Thank you all for the excellent info already and keep on vaping!
