Hi,

Quick intro; quit smoking about six months ago (after about 40 years/2 packs a day) after a friend recommended trying an Kanger Evod. Went to a local B&M several weeks later and the proprietor let me try a mod with a tank. Moved up to an IStick and decreased my nicotine from 18/12/6 and now settled in at 3%. After doing a lot of research and by chance befriending a professional in the business who has a tremendous interest in vaping safety, I have learned a lot in a short period of time. I am now DIY pretty much 95% of my liquids and vaping has turned into a serious hobby. Pleased to join a group of folks with similar interests, I have read a lot of posts here without contributing for several months. Figured I may as well jump in. I am concerned with the current looming regulations and potential restrictions pending. I have signed the peitions and voiced my concerns through the appropriate channels although remain anxious about the outcome. At best it looks like the feds are going to extract a lot of money with the states and localities to follow through taxation and tariffs with some modicum of research into the potential benefits of vaping over smoking. At worst the government is going to make the business prohibitive and or destroy it. In any event nice to be a part of a group that advocates vaping. - cheers!

Welcome and congrats on the switch from smoking!

I stocked up a dedicated freezer with 100mg liquid nicotine and have enough to supply me and others for a life time! I have almost 5 gallons of 100mg nicotine in there! LOL

I also have stocked up on everything ( mods, wire, PG, VG, tanks, etc)...

I feel it's better to be overstocked and not need it than to be under-stocked and need it.

Likewise, I have an ample supply of nic on ice and have since stocked up on several mods which I have put on a shelf. I am a little concerned about flavoring too but don't want to get carried away. It is at least a hedge against inflation, so I can rationalize the spending.

That's one thing I don't think they can do much with, flavorings! Some of the places we buy our flavorings from aren't even vape related. TFA/TPA is a well known company that bakers use for their cakes, candies and other cooking needs. Nowhere on their site does it mention vaping. It's one of the best places to buy flavorings for vaping too...but it doesn't state that. If they were to ban flavorings what would bakers do?

I agree with you for the most part. I watched a video "The VAPE CAST with Cynthia Cabrera of SFATA - FDA Regulations for Vapor Products and Vapers" the other day and there is some good information in it. It alludes to the deeming regulations as submitted as having no clout over zero nicotine (hence no tobacco) products, but we know how those things end up down the road.

One more thing I completely forgot to add...I have been cooking/baking for years and honestly until I took up vaping I never knew anything about flavorings other than vanilla, cinnamon and the usual spices. In fact my grandmother owned an old fashioned bakery back in the day and I don't believe they ever used the type of liquid flavoring out there today. I am intrigued with the idea of baking something with flavorings but alas I am on a serious diet kick at the moment and it is going to have to wait. Vaping has been awesome for my sweet tooth since I started this diet, too!

Hi and welcome. I, too, have a freezer full of nic and about a dozen mech mods. The rest won't be hard to find.
I've been stocking up on a couple Sig 150's as there have been excellent prices recently and the IPV4s, both seem to be of sound integrity (I read the rules and I think I can mention name brands?), anyway these devices should keep me happy for sometime to come.

Yes, perfectly OK to talk about brands. You just can't offer to sell them without registering and, if you have a negative review regarding equipment or a supplier, it must be posted on the right board.
