So I'm a long time smoker (About 10 years) and I really want to quit smoking but I don't think I am ready to go cold turkey. I did some research, and between the e-Go's and the larger mods, I settled on ordering a V2 EX setup because I wanted to keep the look nice and tidy. I wear a suit 90% of the time and whipping out a huge honking mod wouldn't be as nice as a slimmer pen type ecig (at least when I am out anyways, I might buy a mod for my personal home use) Plus carrying around a MVP or Vamo in my suit pockets wouldn't be easy either.

The price of smoking was never the issue, I smoke a pack a day and smokes here in Ontario Canada are like 12 bucks for a 25 pack so anything is better than that I guess. But I really came here to learn about the mods and get some more in depth knowledge that the youtube vids and online reviews can't offer.

So that being said, hello to all and I hope to talk to you all soon!

Welcome theyangman to ECF.

I started on the EGO at first and smoked cigarettes at the same time. I then ordered the Provari Mini and was able to finally quit smoking. I have been smoke free since Oct. 2013.

The Provari Mini put me over the edge to quit...so much that I ordered the Provari Standard.

I was able to get the ZNA at a Vapebash so now it does not even occur to me to want a cigarette ( smoked 2-3 packs a day ) with all the great setups that I have.

Good Luck to You...Happy Vaping!!!

Hi theyangman,

Welcome to ECF! Good luck on making the switch! I found it quite easy with the help of an itaste and some good liquids.

I work in a business environment, and it really cracked me up the looks and comments I got when I switched to a box mod. The general public seems much more accustomed to seeing the pen shapes, and don't seem to know what the other ones even are.

Welcome and hello! I understand the need for needing a smaller set up for work. I'm in scrubs mosts of the time and can't carry my vamo in my pocket without it poking out or pulling my pants down, haha.

I was looking at the V2 EX since you're considering it, but I think you'd be pretty unhappy with that setup. It's only a 280 mAh, so the battery won't last long at all. A few mere hours, perhaps. And the cartridges are only 400 puffs each. That would be about 1 a day. I suggest looking at the Ego or Vision batteries. I have a 1300 mAh and one charge would last 2-3 days, depending on how much I use it and a nice clearomizer. Protanks work well with those batteries also.

I actually bought an iTaste MVP on my lunch at the local vape shop here in my city (it was actually really close to work) so I am going to have something for home use and then the V2 EX for when I am at work. The idea of the battery not lasting long doesn't bug me, you get two batteries with the kit and also you get the portable charging unit as well so hopefully I can cycle them with no issues. I just wanted something that was sleek and presentable when I am out with clients that wouldn't catch too much attention like a box mod would.

I am looking at getting a bigger tank for the MVP though, the Aspire Nautilus seems like a nice size, holds a nice amount of juice so I don't have to fill it as much.

to ecf theyangman . So glad you are here. It is the right place to be to find out just about anything about vaping. Ask away.........some wonderful people here. I started out smoking and vaping and just cutting down. It got to the point where I actually preferred vaping and quit smoking with no withdrawal or anxiety. I'm sure that could work for you too. You will know the right time. Good luck to you and happy vaping.

Welcome to the family! Sounds like you're off to a good start. I don't personally have any experience with this particular setup but the ITaste EP from Innokin would look extremely snazzy in a suit pocket, it's fairly inexpensive at $25.00 for the starter kit and it has a 700 mAh battery. Here's the cheapest link I could find without resorting to a Chinese shipper: Innokin iTaste EP Kit | Smoktek.com

The unit looks like this -

Whatever you decide on, glad to have you aboard and happy vaping!
