Greetings ya'll

I am...well or was a pack and half to two pack a day smoker who had limited success with the njoy ecigs etc but not for long.

After several of a friends got into the higher end vapes I decided to get one myself and give it a try and I love it. Picked up an eGo 900mha twist today and 2 bottles of juice that is made by my local store (which is an awesome store imo) so im still learning it all but I havent had a regular cig in hours and don't want one so that makes me happy.

Looking forward to learning more, trying new devices and new juices. Had to at least get my obligitory first message out there.

Have a great weekend

They say that 24mg eJuice is a little stronger than a cigarette. Kept my urges down. That is how I measure my intake. My priority for the near term is not smoking. I will probably go down to 18mg, but, I ain't taking chances.

24mg is what I got to start out with a it does feel a bit strong but I like it...I am just trying to get my new normal before moving out a bit further into the lower mg juice

should be an option on your profile that says edit signature...

if you want to know anything just ask, people will be happy to answer, just remember... it is a forum, everyone is opinionated... sometimes you will get nothing but good answers other times you will get a right answer but a bunch that are off...

good luck on this journey! its a great one... im loving every day of it... just be careful with how much you order online... youll end up like me addicted to tracking packages, and getting grumpy with the post office when they cant give you a reasonable answer why your package hasnt moved in over a day... i dont mind if there is a legit reason... but just not moving for no reason... well... grrrrr....

seriously, dont even look at tracking numbers... its like torture... if your impatient like me...

Random odd question seeing as I can usually figure this stuff out myself. Where do you edit your sig block, checked through settings and profile options and just don't see it.

On the top right of the forum page you will see settings. Once you click that you will see edit signature on the left under my profile settings.

Good luck and great choice...once you're totally off the analogs, you're going to be amazed by how much better you feel (and how much you senses of smell and taste will improve!)

Me and my hubby were surprised about how easy it was to quit smoking once we started vaping. I was a pack and a half a day smoker for over 20 years, never had success with trying to quit until I tried vaping and within one week I was off the analogs. Same with my spouse. We're going on 5 months now smoke-free :) My advice would be to just stick with it, whenever you feel like you need a smoke just vape instead :vapor:

One thing you can do to ween yourself off the cigs is to limit the amount of analogs you have per day and taper off as needed. Your brain releases dopamine in your body when you do something you enjoy, good or bad. If you think it makes you happy, your brain will reward your body chemically when it's conditioned that way - that's the process that leads to addiction. When people try to quit, it's hard because their brain is still telling them that it needs an cig, when in reality, it's just craving a release of dopamine. Smoke a cig, get the rush, good to go. Same goes for sodas, sweets, sex, etc. It's not a physical addiction, it's all chemical, if that makes sense.

Once you replace that variable (cigarettes in this case) with an alternative (the e-cig), and start telling yourself, and reminding yourself that this is better, healthier, option, your brain will automatically start to build new associations with a dopamine release for vaping vs smoking. First week, maybe/3-4 day, next week, drop it to 1-2/day. Then you'll start realizing you are using your e-cig more and more and there might be days where you don't even have an urge to light up anymore! Once it gets to the point where you DO finally light up an analog and it tastes all sorts of nasty, BAM! You've successfully trained your brain to dislike the taste and feel of cigarette smoke.

Sidenote:
The same practice is true for other additive/habit-forming activities. If you're a chronic soda drinker, I challenge you to try a small experiment. Buy a 6-pack of your absolute favorite soda and put a sticky note on it with a date 2 weeks from the time you start this. Do not drink a single drop of soda for 2 weeks and tell yourself on that 15th day, you can indulge and drink that whole entire, delicious six-pack in one day. That first sip after essentially 'detoxing' might not taste exactly the same as you remembered it.
