Two popular options for a starter kit:

vivinovamini-twist.jpg
______

  • iTaste MVP variable voltage box mod. Has a powerful built-in rechargeable battery that will last 2 - 3 days on a charge, and can be used while its charging. About the size of a pack of 100mm cigarettes. Kit comes with charging cord and a iClear clearomizer. Uses the same juice attachments as above eGo batteries.

Welcome! My kit was 2 eGo 900mah batteries and a few T3S clearimizers (e-juice tanks) and I was very happy with the setup. If I knew better then I think I would have spent a few extra bucks and bought the twists mentioned above. I got my kit with a case and a couple of sample e-juices for around $70otd at a local brick and mortar B&M so you should be able to do at least as good as that for pricing.

Hey Mattp

yes the Igo4 is kinda neat what with that charging stand and should work fine, some things to think about though

1. what happens if the charger goes bad, can you get a replacement easily (I could not locate any info on it in regards to using a regular ego style charger)
2. can you get just the battery by itself? (backups for backups is almost as common of a chant here as oooohhhmmm is)
3. I could not find a vv version of it (truthfully, I didn't look very hard)

all said and done I am sure it is a very good setup for around the house but I would not want to take out on the road very far do to it needing such a specific form of charging (which is an additional point of failure) just as I would not jump into an all electric Prius to go coast to coast in (it would take weeks - drive 120 miles - stop for the night to charge - rinse - repeat)

Just my 2 cents

For that price, you can easily get a couple ego type batteries, a couple tanks, a few different types of e-juice and have money leftover. An ego set-up would get you started right then from there you can decide how deep you wqnt to get into it. Check out some of the forum sponsors and search the web to start your journey...o yeah, and welcome to ECF!

Dakota Jim I was thinking the same thing so the joytech twist would be a good investment?

For a 1st kit, i would say it's probably the best thing you could get. Ease of use, common attachments and replacement parts, and variable voltage to boot to let you fool around a bit before you commit to a mod. :)

I've only been vaping about 3 months. I started out with the smaller battery and smaller Viva Nova tank. Then I called this supply company and she talked me into getting a ego C 1300 Variable Volt and a Viva Nova Complete Kit that holds 3.5 ml of juice. I bought the 1st Viva Nova Complete Kit and it started leaking from the bottom after the 1st week of having it. Called the company and they said that was a non replaceable item so I thought I might of got a bad one so I ordered another one of the Viva Nova Complete Kits. I've had this one about a week and a half now it's leaking from the bottom. Does anybody have any suggestions?
