Hello:

I'm new to vaping and new to the boards. I've been lingering on the boards for the past week or so and decided to register for the forums because there is a lot I still do not understand.

Anyway, I guess I started my smokeless journey about a year and a half ago, when I purchased an e-cig from Green Smoke. Of course at the time, before I knew even less than I did now, I thought I had the best product on the market. Ha!

Fast forward to me unboxing my shiny new Provari 3 days ago, and now the Green Smoke is absolutely laughable. Well, I shouldn't hate on it...it was good for what it was I guess. But thanks to many members on this forum guiding me in the right direction as I read through the forums looking from the outside in, I made one of the best purchases in my life.

No more analogs, and an infinite world of delicious juices in my future!

Thanks everyone here for the amazing wealth of knowledge. And as they say, happy vaping.

Well done and oh boy just wait until you discover protanks and cotton wicks, and wrapping your own coils and, DIY juice and.....

You'll love it, even if you don't want to vape, that Provari will find something you can do with it or for it. Oh and they multiply, one simply is not enough (need a backup after all) and, well, you'll read some of the messes those pet provarii get into - tough, adventurous things they are. :p

I started vaping like 3 weeks ago. I pretty much go all out immediately. With vaping, I mean in the sense that I bought a Halo triton tank first. I saw a lot of tank systems and knew I'd just buy that before those little ecig things. I know quite a lot, learn fast though and was interested in reading up on stuff a bit. I do feel like I have the "best" there is. Only in the sense that I'm not interested at the moment in spending a lot of money on "cool" or powerful vaping equipment that nobody else knows anything about. I've tried 10 liquids. And only like one, half make me sick. So I guess a year from now if I only vape on this 4.2 volt halo tank system with one flavor I probably won't have much to laugh at. I'm curious why it took you a year and a half to switch from a small ecig to something different, considering the popularity and the amount of information revolved around vaping.

The provari is good,,,but costly from what I read. And you'll need it when rebuilding coils to make sure there's no shorts. Also knowing how many ohms the coil is will let you dial the voltage so as to get a great vape with the best flavor.
I'll recommend a Vamo if you want a second mod.
1st- thy can be had for $25.00 without the battery from Vapor Break.com
2nd- you can also dial in the wattage as well as the voltage. I've found this helps get the ultimate vape cloud & taste.
To help you with the costs of rebuilding coils, don't pay more then $7-8 bucks for 100 feet of Kenthal 32ga. Resistant wire. Free shipping as well. Search eBay for this deal. As for the wick, 3 mm silica can be found for $6-8 bucks for 10 feet. If you want to try cotton you can twist a wick from a cotton ball (or) cotton yarn from a craft store (or) the best I've found to work, cotton butchers twine. ( I found it at a dollar store,,,,,for 2 bucks) . I've also used cheesecloth twisted to wick diameter, not so pretty, but works well.
Boiling the cotton material then drying can't hurt either.
Good luck and

By the way... Is that an ( analog ) being smoked in your profile picture.
