Just me, sounds like it would be best to find hobbies that don't increase stress, frustrate, infuriate, or elevate and introduce negatives into your life.

Strenuous physical activities and lots of fresh air & sunshine is a much healthier alternative.

I already do strenuous activities haha... and i go out a lot...

i only want to do this when I'm gaming ....

Hey everyone! I want to pick up tricking and also vaping as an appetite suppresant. I have 0 knowledge of vaping or smoking so i would greatly appreciate your help! :) i also don't do nicotine.

I plan on purchasing from Lucky 8 Vapes - Richmond E-Cig Store

Can you explain it in a way so i can just walk up to the counter, show them whatyou guys say and walk out? Lol thanks!

So, while I agree with the above posters when they say things like take a walk, (exercise is the best appetite suppressant I know of, nicotine, not so much) use a fidget spinner, quit gaming etc. I will leave it to others to lecture.

First.. your gonna cough up a lung. Seriously. Plus, it will make exercise that much harder because it will impede your breathing to a degree, so keep this in mind. If your not exactly the most healthy person, this will have the opposite effect that your hoping for.

Nicotine, which is the only thing in vaping that can act as an appetite suppressant, will also increase your blood pressure (so if your blood pressure runs a bit high now, it will get higher)

So, if your gonna vape anyway, even though you will develop all the above symptoms, start small.. with a little ego kit of some kind, get used to inhaling vapor into your lungs prior to getting into something that is going to hit your lungs like a Mac truck.. because sub ohm vaping, most definitely will make you feel as if a tank hit your chest.

Don't vape over 3mg of nicotine if you do use it, and watch out for nicotine poisoning, as you have no tolerance to nicotine.

Hi V,

Yes, if you go to a local vape shop they will try to upsell you. Look for one that carries a larger selection of electronics and ask to see ALL the demo equipment from small to large. You don't have to buy anything... Though it might be polite to buy a 10 ml bottle of juice or something, if you take up a lot of time. That's often what I do when seeking out something REALLY expensive, I don't necessarily want to rely JUST on online reviews/recommendations. You'll get a feel for what is out there.

Vape shops can sell you 0 nic juice.

Best of luck,

Anna
oh so vape stores actually do have demo units? If i were to walk in, ask for demo units designed for tricking, think they'll have some ready made? preferably ones that don't come with custom anything. just plug and play. I don't want to mess up and blow .... up in my face haha....

I did the same for my gaming pc. I asked a friend who was knowledgable to just pick parts for me that would fit well together and a case that will hold everyhting. Battery supply and everything... so that's why im asking here since you are all experts xD

I have a few friends in my town who vape but they don't do it for tricks. only for the nicotine fix. so they can't really help haha....

I won't be doing nicotine at all. I mean meal suppressant as in the flavors kind of trick me into thinking I ate something sweet. I've cut off sugar from my diet so it's really hard not to eat anything sweet xD

Your still gonna want to start with a little ego aio or something equally small.. a sub ohm set up will be way way way way way too much for you just starting out. When I say "hit your lungs like a tank" I mean it..

The only thing local vape shops have are little set ups so you can try out different flavors of e juice.. most ask you to pay some money to try out juices. You can walk in and do that, but those aren't sub ohm sets ups for tricking, those are flavor chasers..

1) I do healthy stuff already. I'm on a diet, I go to the gym 4 days a week, I play badminton. So it's not like I'm relying solely on vaping to lose weight haha....
2) I've tried using my friends but he didn't tell me what his parts are or anything.
3) If i go to a local store, won't they just try to upsell me their most expensive ....?

That is good to hear you are active. And good for you. on that. Can you describe what your friend was using? Was it penlike, boxlike, etc. And what is your goal when it comes to vaping. I would suggest you search around the forums for a little bit to find an idea of what you need and what you are looking for. What is your budget? Are you looking for huge clouds or flavor? or Both? Do you want something simple, moderate or advanced? Do you want a tank system where you just fill the liquids and change coils when they go bad? Do you want an RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) where you can rebuild and rewick or do you want to drip using an RDA (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer). There are a million questions that could be asked and answered. But if you start with an idea of what you want, it will make it easier for everyone to suggest a setup.

1. like we said it's not our choice you can do whatever you want with vaping we just don't think those who haven't smoked should start vaping.
2. did you vape your friend's setup more like a smoke (mtl) or more like sucking through a straw (dtl)?
3. If you're that new to vaping, yes there's a chance then again not all shops do that some will try to sell you expensive stuff because it's more reliable probably rare but i know it happens. I'd highly suggest you knowing what you want before entering a vape shop.

If you want the cheapest prices possible though, check online best prices available anywhere. I personnaly like to buy in vape shops to keep them open if i feel like i've had a great experience. Ofc if you feel like the guy is upselling you,ask him or leave i don't support vape shops that only try to make money i've made complaints myself on 2 i've tried previously, mostly because 1 had illegal activity in it and the other had just terrible customer service (really it was attrocious lol)

2)It was more like smoke
3) I don't know what I want though haha. I just want to trick and thick clouds. Maybe a unit that allows me to start as a new person but have the variable to let me get thicker clouds the more I get accustomed to Vaping.

I already went into the vape shop in my town and the guy seemed very nice. I told him I never vaped before and my brother gave me a unit of his and I'm not sure what to look for but I want to trick. Explained to me the juice I want and even showed me how to replace the coils etc...

No, they won't let you vape it. But you can look at it, handle it, ask questions about use, and whatnot. You should be able to taste test flavors in O nic in some shops, to see what kind of flavoring you like (for a nominal fee, depending on the shop and your location. I guess my location.... Well, we have a lot of vape and vapish stores that carry a LOT of equipment, as well as tattoo parlors. I'm convinced half of them may be laundromats in disguise, but if you can find a place to physically handle stuff, it's not a bad idea (IMO).

I really agree with Opinionated about starting smaller, seeing if you like vaping in an ongoing way before trying to blow major clouds, but that's up to you. There are many sub-ohm setups you can consider if you insist on going that route. The Aspire Speeder (while I have not vaped it, nor do I vape sub-ohm) may be a good choice as far as reliability/ease of use compared to smok products, but that's just me.

Glad you are trying to get healthier, and I hope you find something you like.

@stols001 I'm with ya on that one Anna, i like aspire more myself smok i think are complete overkilling the entire industry with their tfv12 and stuff.

@Villagernum1 your friend probably has a mtl setup which is not for making tricks at all and imho you should probably start with a smaller setup like Anna said to at least know if you really want to keep going as sub 0hm setups can be quite expensive. Anyone would probably tell you to start small anyway tbh less of a hassle and more cost efficient since i doubt you have time to make lots of tricks in the like 5-10 seconds respawn time on LOL.

OP, I think you've gotten a lot of good advice on this thread. I'm going to stop now, as yes, I know nothing about tricks, so if I suggest a sub-ohm device it might not be what you want anyway, AND, I believe you are going to do what you wish, despite suggestions (which is fine, only you did come here asking for some).

I don't think your goal or motives are suspect, or anything, I just don't think it's a good idea for a never-vaper (let alone a never-smoker) to try and jump directly to vape tricks, and honestly, you might end up just as frustrated (and less healthy) by trying to start THERE and having spent a lot of money/time in the process....

I wouldn't trick, don't think it's advisable for me and I have a high nic tolerance, SOME knowledge of vaping at this point, and an ability to vape already....

Best of luck, but really, you DID ask for advice, so weigh it for a bit before making a final decision is all I can say....

Welcome and glad you joined.
Zero nic vaping may not entirely 100% healthy, perhaps vaping is less dangerous than over eating.

It was boxlike and it seemed high tech... like a robot time. had a digital display as well.

My goal is to literally see vape come out my mouth. do tricks. and that's about it haha...

My budget is max of $300. I have E-Juice already. it's a 70-30 split. The guy said it's more for clouds. Next time I'll try going 100% for clouds only and go flavorless.

I would like something moderate. Something that's not too crazy but good enough that I'll enjoy my time vaping with thick clouds.

I would like one where it's just a tank, fill liquid, unscrew coil, screw new one in.

I definitely weigh people's advice don't get me wrong. It's just that my brother got me into it and showed me him tricking so I want to get into it. He also said it helped him calm down when playing video games despite the lack of nicotine. Thanks though for looking out for a random stranger on the internet! :) you guys and girls are awesome human beings.

Well if your brother knows all this already, why not let him be your guide?? I'm very confused, now....
I'm gonna go guess his brother probably dosen't have the extended knowledge this forums has.
Then again like you said tons of suggestions here already it's his choice to make at the end of the day,all we can do is point him in the general direction and pray for the best :p

This is going to sound weird but I really want to trickbecause when I play League of Legends, I get infuriated quite a bit. So I've found that vaping and tricking keeps my mind off of it...

1) I do healthy stuff already. I'm on a diet, I go to the gym 4 days a week, I play badminton. So it's not like I'm relying solely on vaping to lose weight haha....
2) I've tried using my friends but he didn't tell me what his parts are or anything.

I quoted from all these posts in ORDER.

OP, you are getting into seriously contradictory statements here. If you just read through these in order you get:

Flavors, no nic, appetite suppressant, NO, it's for frustration while gaming, never vaped and know nothing, then has visited vape shop, vaped friend's setup want for tricks only, no maybe blowing clouds, actually I am very healthy, want flavors gave up sugar, OH next time I will try max VG NO FLAVORING. Brother can do tricks, got me into it, apparently knows, but can't share knowledge?

Can you please advise as to what you actually want, as it changes in every post?? I'm just pointing it out because no one can help if you keep changing the parameters of your request.

Also, this isn't really a trick site. It's more of a harm reduction one.

I'm starting to wonder.... though.... what this is exactly?

he doesn't know anything tbh haha. he watched videos on how to do tricks, spent money on a unit and that's it. So I'm a little more intense than my brother since he picked it up for a week, then sold his crap haha...

Ok my plan:
1) Get a unit that's meant for tricking
2) Get 2 types of juice. 1) 100% flavorless that's only meant for tricking 2) 70-30 split where there's enough flavor to trick me into thinking I ate something sweet.
3) It is for frustration while gaming. If i'm at a loss streak or something, I'll vape and concentrate on flavor and tricking while I play. That way, even if my teammates are [edited], I'll be enjoying my vape.
4) I have never vaped before. [Edited] My brother vapes and he used to show me when we skype (he lives in Calgary, I live in Vancouver). He told me how he got his unit (went into store and bought a starter kit without knowing anything either). He got bored and sold his unit. He bought another one, got bored again then decided to give it to me but it's about 3 years old.
4b) My friends at work I've talked to that vapes (both only do it for nicotine) have told me basics like more power = better capability to get thicker clouds but need proper coils or whatever to make sure it doesn't burn out or blow out or something. I've tried my friends vape which he says is 60-40 with 3mg of nicotine.
5) I have visited a vape store. bought e-juice and replaced my brothers coil. that's it.
6) I am healthy, I eat properly, have a proper diet, proper exercise schedule, work, sports.
7) I do want flavors just to trick my mind. Had suggestions from my brother who tried it
8) Next time I do want one that's max VG and no flavors to see the difference with the thickness of the cloud.
9) Can do "basic tricks". he can blow O's (not spam, just one at a time per puff). He can somewhat do the french inhale thing.
10) He did get me into it because I saw him do that, so i started youtubing about vape tricks. I was extremely intrigued by it and wanted to do it.
11) never said he had knowledge. Just said he knows a few tricks, and he had a unit.

So what I want is a unit that's mid-range. something that's not crazy expensive or intricate but a build that can be plug and play. a variable one where I can adjust the power but the unit itself can handle pretty decent power. Tank and the coil should be something like Open tank > put juice in > vape. Coils should be Screw off old coil > screw on new coil > vape. I'll try 2 different liquids. One that's flavorless 100% vg and one that's a bit of flavor like 70-30 or 80-20.
