Just recently decided I wanted to kick the old habit. Turned out more difficult than anticipated. Thought I would give this vape thing a shot. Although I find it very hard to believe inhaling the e-liquid "ok" or "healthy". I tried to find some info on the net but there was so much that it became tiresome. What's in this e-liquid and how is this "okay" for you, besides the obvious alternative of cigarettes. Should I continue this?

I just bought a E-roll vape with some e-liquid that had zero nicotine in it. Felt like the battle was going to be more mental than physical.

Any explanations or advice? Should I continue to smoke this vape and will it work?

The addiction of smoking is both physical & behaviorial. E-cigarettes provide the replacement of nicotine with vaporized nicotine, and mimics both the hand-to-mouth behavior and the inhalation/exhalation act that is also part of the addiction.

There is no tar or smoke (or cyanide, arsenic, carbon monoxide, etc) involved with e-cigarettes, which is what is responsible for causing cancer, COPD, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis.

There is water vapor produced from Propolene Glycol (used in asthma inhalers) and Vegetable Glycerine (sweetener used in many food products and often used to create fog at concerts), liquid nicotine, and flavoring agents in e-cigarettes. Although there are no long term health studies yet available on electronic cigarette usage, conventional wisdom dictates that it will prove safer than the alternative of continuing smoking.

I personally tried to stop a 35 year habit of smoking a pack per day with the nicotine gum, patches, Welbutrin, and hypnosis (twice) and all of these attempts failed miserably. Within a week of trying my first e-cigarette, I had finally kicked the habit of smoking. I have proudly been smoke-free for two years. I don't miss smoking one bit. I have cut my nicotine level down from 24 mg down to nearly 0%. My original intent was not to stop nicotine entirely, but merely to quit smoking cigarettes. I've accomplished that goal and more.

That looks more like a list of flavourings than an assay of cigarette smoke, jensy. Where did you get it from?

(The fact remains that cigarette smoke has around 4,000 chemicals, a large number of which are known to cause cancer and other morbidities. Whereas e-cigarette vapour has a mere handful of chemicals, the bulk of which are known to be safe, and the others have no known ill effect. If such an ill effect becomes known, that chemical is not used again.)

1: The eliquid is mainly propylene glycol (PG) and or glycerin.
The device is basically a fog machine like what is used at concerts, dance parties etc.

2: Should you continue?
Absolutely yes instead of smoke.

3: To take care of cravings get a high strength disposable or a high strength cartridge for you eroll so you can take an occassional vape but use the low or 0 nicotine one as your main vape.

Don't be frightened of nicotine. It has few harmful effects, may even be as safe as caffeine and may not even be especially addictive by itself, outside of a cigarette. If you can quit without using nicotine, great, if not, don't worry about it.
