New to vaping, and already want to upgrade from my VV spinner. Also a hello!

Hey guys, decided to finally sign up so I can soak up some knowledge and learn a few things. I am pretty new to vaping and have come to get tired of my boring ego style battery with a T3S tank. I am sort of over whelmed with the options for a mod to start with, so any help on that front would be great. Well, heres to a fun hobby and help for people who need it, thanks guys!

I went recently from a Vision Spinner to MVP 2.0. A couple thousand people on here can probably vouch for what an awesome device it is. Very happy with mine.. The spinner makes an excellent backup.

If you're looking for something under $100 and want a VV/VW device, I'd recommend the iTaste MVP2 ($40, internal battery) or the Sigelei Zmax v3 (batteries & charger would be extra). There are some great reviews of both products on YouTube, and many forum members have one or both. I have the MVP2, and it's an excellent starter mod.

If you're willing to go over $100, there will be no shortage of recommendations for the ProVari, which is made in the U.S. and has an excellent customer service record.

Wow thanks for the speedy response guys. My ceiling would be about 150. I really dont have a specific need in mind, I really like the mechanical look, but was told I had to be careful with batteries and discharge etc. Also like the idea of adjustablity with the VV/VW stuff. It looks like I have alot of youtube to look at tonight, but thought id ask you folks first.

The VV/VW mods do have more safety features. You'll still need to be careful with any rechargeable batteries, no matter what mod you get. Baditude has some great blog posts here:

(If you're keen on mechanicals, you might also start doing some background research on mechanical mod safety.)

Excuse my ignorance, but would that be something I would "grow out of". I dont really know how to explain it lol. I guess, would I be left wanting more from other mods, or does this one offer performance on par with them.

I still have a few egos and I currently have 3 mods and eyeballing a 4th and 5th.
Mpvs are great even for those who have been vaping for years and one I've been considering for months.
Plus, I've loaned and gifted all my starter stuff and give myself credit for 4 vapers now!

Spinners are great I had them too. I went with a sigelei next, but mpv2 wasn't out yet!
The I taste VTR has great reviews and it's around 80.

If you like the mechanical looks, you could get a Kick.

If you don't know what a kick is, it's a electronic unit that is designed to turn your mechanical mod into a variable wattage device. It regulates your mod and offers battery protection as well.

You just need to make sure that whatever mech you buy is compatible with the Kick... Most of em are.

+1 for the suggestion of a MVP2 the price at 101vapes is awesome it is a great mod. Others including the VTR require that you have a seperate charger and batteries...most I know can go 2 days without recharging the MVP2. It is very intuitive and easy to use. having an internal non replaceable battery however you may need to replace it in a year or so. All in all a good VV VW device. I bought them as gifts for my Dad and Daughters who started vaping....I know they will be verry happy....maybe next year provari's will be on the list

Because it has an internal battery that is not so easily replaced unless you're into that sort of thing, it will eventually die. Most devices will die at some point, of course, but those with easily replaceable batteries will not have that particular limitation.

In the meantime, however, it has a range of 3.3–5 volts (in .1 volt increments) or 6–11 watts (in .5 watt increments), a very long battery life (2600 mAh, many people can use it a couple of days between charges), eGo and 510 threading, and passthrough capability (vape while charging), among other features. For $40, that's pretty darn good.

What you will need/want in the future will kind of depend on your preferences and where they go from here. Some folks are satisfied to use eGo-style batteries long term. Other people want things only mechanical mods can do. Those kinds of things depend on the individual.

If you're looking for something that you'll have for a long time and high quality, then the Provari would be the best choice IMO. Of course, you'll need to budget about $200 to get the Provari, at least 2 AW IMR batteries, and a quality charger, but it's well worth it.

For great carto tanks at a reasonable price, I always recomment IBTanked (IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!). Check out the FAQ page for information about setting up and priming the carto and filling the tank. They also have a subforum here at ECF and they are great about answering questions.

the MVP2 comes with a Iclear16 tank but I would suggest you add a protank and extra coils for each type to your order...that way you can try both a top wick and a bottom coil to see what you prefer

A Kangertech Protank 2 is a bottom coil clearomizer. At the bottom of the tank is a removable coil head with short silica wicks. The coil head is replaceable. When it dies you can put in a new one and either chuck or recoil the dead one. There's more than one kind of clearomizer tank... some have bottom coils, some have top coils...

A cartomizer tank is a tank with a cartomizer down the middle. The cartomizer has holes punched in the sides to allow juice in. Eventually the cartomizer will go bad and need replacing, but the rest of the tank (as with the clearomizer tank) you keep and reuse.

Vapers have different preferences in juice attachments. You may want to try a variety to see what suits you, and/or look at user reviews to get a better sense of the relative pros and cons.

Hey guys, just an update. I picked up an Evic today. The Evic is a Version 2 with the screws in the head, along with a PT 2 and 30 ml of juice for $120.00. I'm sure I could have found it for cheaper online, but this store is pretty cool and the guys really took alot of time to explain stuff. I appreciate the tips guys.
