First post so
I'll be all over the place.

Started with Riva 501 and also one of the scams for those 'free' e-cigs that soon got hold of my credit card and piling on charges. Stopped that quickly but had to eat the cost for the first shipment.
Then I found this place and liking all the good info.

I was a 1 1/2 to 2 pack a day smoker and after two weeks I'm down to 3-4 analogs a day. I figure in a few more weeks they'll be gone for good.:)

With the money I've saved from buying cigs (paying taxes:blink:) I've upped the new toys. Just got an E-power, bunch of sample e-liquids, cartos etc and trying to find places that have bulk e-liquids that I like. Had a little nicotine overdose today at work testing far too many samples, one after another, using a drip tip and a couple drops of each.

There are a few e-liquids that I like but those places don't seem to sell in bulk. My two favorites, right now, are Tennessee and RY4 from Vapor Station. Cherry tobacco and grape coming in after that. For the rest of them I just don't seem to like much. Hopefully after testing many of these samples I'll find just a few I really like and either find a place that sells them at bulk prices or start DIY'ing it.

Reading lots of posts and just amazed at how much some folks smoke. I'm only vaping 2-3 ml per day so it's far less expensive then smoking analogs. But then I'm getting the high nicotine stuff.

First samples I got were to low (18mg) and I was still smoking 1/2 a pack a day. Since upping it to 35mg the cravings for analogs is hugely diminished. Still want an analog first thing in the morning and just after meals. That and learning a technique for getting consistent hits off my new 'crack pipes'. First hits in the mourning seem lacking, have to stand the ecig up and get the thing real wet or I get a dry and harsh hit.

I could never go just cold turkey or have much success with the patch. There a whole lot more to smoking, for me, then just the nicotine. Things like having something in my hand, taking a draw and seeing smoke, taste etc, all add up to my addiction. And these ecigs seem to fulfill many of those things without all the bad things in analogs. Eventually I hope to cut back on the nicotine, but for now I'm real happy to be getting real close to never having another cigarette.

Welcome to the forum! You said in your post that you still have an analog first thing in the morning. That's the one you should try to avoid. Good luck getting off those nasty analogs!

Yep, that's one of the hardest.

Just have to prep the ecig for a morning drag.
The first hit after laying on it's side all night seems dry and weak. Lots of coughing and gagging on my part.
Standing it up and waiting for it to get wet seems to be the ticket.
Left standing all night it floods out and gurgles.

Stand it up to get it wet? Are you using atomizer and cartridge the way it was shipped? If you want consistent vaping that just works you want cartomizers which are what most use for their everyday vaping. Boge 510 are the most popular cartos for 510 threaded devices. I recommend learning on them first and then there are all kind of bigger or more complex cartos. The Boge 3 ohm are barely warm and easier to learn on and the 2 ohm ones are hotter so you need to do a better job of keeping them damp. I can get 10+ days use out of a Boge.

Welcome to ECF, sounds like you're off to a great start!!

I used the 36mg starting out myself, needed it to resist the smokes, I've since
cut back to about 20 - 24mg slowly after 16 months. Patches and gum never worked
for me because they had you dropping the nicotine after a few weeks. When I did
I was right back smoking, vaping I can get what I need, when I need, and no regrets.
