Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a bit and wanted to introduce myself. After 20+ years of smoking a pack a day, I started vaping 26 days ago and have been completely off the analogs for 16 days! This has quickly become an obsession for me and I'm stopping at my local shop at least once a week even though I have 8 unopened bottles of juice, not the mention the 3 bottles I ordered online that will be here any day now.

My wallet has taken a hit over the last month, but I can honestly say that I enjoy vaping much more than I ever enjoyed analogs ... and I thought I REALLY enjoyed analogs. I'm sure the spending will decrease over time, but my husband says, "I don't care if you're spending twice as much as you did on cigarettes, you're getting healthier, and that's what counts."

Happy vaping, everyone! I am enjoying every minute of it!

Welcome, I've been vaping for 4 weeks now and I understand what your saying, I already have 3 PVs and 14 different flavored juices. I'm hooked and loving it! And I too have spent alot more in this habit than my half a pack day habit but I'm not sorry, and it's fun. I smoked for 36 years and haven't had a cig in 4 weeks, that is what matters most! Keep on vaping!

Congrats to you & other newbies! Keep up the good work! Here it is, years later and I'm still a NONSMOKER!! I was a very long-time heavy smoker. Look at my numbers below, and know you can do it too. The dollars you spend now will decrease a lot over time for most of you. I still vape a little, but not crazy without it for quite a few hours. Vaping has been the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Keep on keepin' on!!! :)

Sounds like you have a good husband :)

I've been off the stinkies for about six weeks. Yeah I've spent over $200 on vaping already, but it's mostly just startup cost for the starter kit and mods and extra coils, etc. I also have enough juice to last probably a year (bought tobacco flavored juice in bulk and dilute it with cheap drugstore glycerin) , though I really need to branch out with flavors.

But most of the hardware should last a long time. I can't fathom it coming even remotely close to my pack and half a day cig habit, in the long run.

It being a hobby is awesome! I love it. Oh, prices are a lot cheaper on-line. B&Ms just have overhead to deal with. Salespeople tend not to be knowledgeable or friendly since they don't make much.

I am settled in and starting to tinker in new directions of the hobby. My banana nut bread went great with my coffee this morning.

Thanks for the warm welcome. This has really been a great experience for me. I had never even tried to quit smoking before I began Vaping because, honestly, I just couldn't fathom the thought of going even one day without a cigarette. This has been SO easy for me and I am thrilled! I have seen a lot of posts on here about this device or that device and things that I have no earthly idea what they are. As for now, I'm keeping it simple. If anyone was to ask me what devices I have, I would tell them, "A pink one, a green one and a black one." Subject to change of course, it's my addictive nature that got me to this point in the first place.
