Hello all I've been vaping for a few weeks. Got my setup from a local vapor shop.

So far I have the Ego C-upgrade battery. Started off with a CE5 clearomizer which seemed to work really well. But since I keep the e-cig in my front pants pocket the base on the clearomizer come loose. It hasn't started to leak yet but the base wasn't sitting square on the clear tube. So 2 weeks ago I bought a protank, this seems to be a higher build quality even though it seems a little too airy for me but have gotten use to it.

Some questions that I have.

1. When ever I take the base off the Protank there is a lot of juice that comes out of the mouth piece. Is this normal? I'm not getting any juice in the center hole when filling.

2. I don't always get a consistent amount of vapor. It seems that about 8 hours into a charge on the battery that the amount of vapor really starts to drop off. However some hits will still produce a lot of vapor. It's just not consistent. When I was using the CE5 the vapor stayed consistent all day.

3. Is there another setup that is shorter, easier to carry in front pockets of jeans? Some times what I have turns sideways in my pocket and when I squat I'm putting a decent amount of stress on the e-cig.

4. Is it normal for the juice in the Protank to turn a much darker color?

5. Is it normal to have a crackling sound while vaping? I assume so since both attys that I've used make the sound.

Btw the juice I'm using is made by Hangsen and is a PG/VG mix.

Thanks

1.not normal really, make sure to hold it completely upside down when removing the bottom.

2.When your battery voltage drops the vapor production drops.

3.Not sure. Dont use the ego size batteries

4.Yes. The juice will turn dark as you use it in the protank. make sure to clean it out before each refill.

5.Yes, Kangers clearos, and cartomizers seem to crackle when vaping.

6. try some better juices also

Hi Ws6guy, welcome to the ECF.

Are you sure it's juice and not just condensation? I never get any juice coming out of my pro-tank when I take the base off. I don't know what else to tell you about that as I've never had an issue.

The vapor production will decrease as your battery depletes - if you are using it in VV mode. (which I am assuming) You can use it in 3.3 fixed voltage mode but you may have an issue with vapor production on the pro-tank depending on the coil you are using.

If you like the pro-tank, you can put an EVOD or an MT3 on the end of it. Less capacity than a pro-tank but similar setup (and the heads are interchangable with the protank too) It's a little lower profile, although measuring them side-by-side they are exactly the same height.

My juice almost always turns darker as I get to the bottom of the tank.

Thanks for the information. I've now figured out that I need to turn the tank upside down for a minute or 2 before I take the end off. This will keep the liquid from running down the center.

I'm using the battery in constant mode but vapor production still drops quite a bit towards the end of the battery charge. Not a big deal as I've picked up a second battery for the rotation.

The only thing I've found to be rock solid in my pocket when working is a carto with a cone. I personally use T3s the most, but I have to remember to take them out of my pocket before squatting. They are still plastic screwed to metal and can snap. Trust me, I had the pocket full of juice to prove it.

I never had a problem with a carto and cone though.
