Hi All, I've been sneaking around reading this forum for quite sometime. Lots of info on here which helped me out alot. I still have some questions tho.

I have been smoking on and off for the last 8 years. I would smoke anywhere from 3-4 upto about half pack a day. At times I could go a few months without smoking at all. My last smoke was 18 months ago. I had some cravings in that period but didnt give in. Until my friend introduced me to vaping last month.

I am now using topbox mini with ni coil 0.15 Ohm in tc mode with 50/50 3mg juice. I vape about 2-4 ml a day. I had some problems here and there but mostly solved now. There is still one problem which I cant figure out what's wrong. Up until last week I can vape fine using 5 different flavours. I'd fill the tank with new flavour when the juice gets low. I started mixing some flavours 50/50. No problems until I mixed cola and cherry. The taste is ok but after a 2-3 hits I get dizzy like I had too much nic. I can chain vape all flavours fine. Could this be from flavour mixing? Or some other problems?

Sorry if the post is too long.

Thanks in advance.

P.s. I know that dehydration can cause flavours to change. In this case does lack of sleep have anything to do with what I'm experiencing? Havnt got much sleep in the last few days.

have you tried just the cola alone and just the cherry alone?

and are all the liquids from the same brand?

Nicotine will keep you awake as others have mentioned especially when you first start. I still remember 3 months ago when I started out with 12mg on my sub and top tanks and it was way too much for me. Since then, I moved down to 3mg but now I kind of prefer 6 to be honest.

It's my personal experience that your body will eventually get used to the new delivery system and the nicotine.

I just wanted to ask you if your NI coil actually read 0.15 ohms? Here is what my coils read on both the Kbox 75 TC (topbox kit) and the Kbox Mini 50 Watt (subox mini Kit):

1. NI reads 0.23 when it should be 0.15
2. SS reads 0.6 to 0.63 when it should be 0.5

At first I thought something might be wrong with the mod itself but after swapping my top tank to my Subox mod I'm getting the same thing. For some reason the only Coil that reads right is the Clapton.

I don't know if Kanger isn't building these right or what but please let me know if your coils read as they should. I just bought a pack of the NI200's and if those also read 0.23 when they should be 0.15 there is definitely something wrong here.

The ohm readers may be off.

If you have a friend who vapes put your tank on his or her mod and check the resistance.

Thanks for all the replies and tips.
1. Get some sleep.
Welcome. Too much Nicotine will keep you awake also. Easy does it
I think that is part of the problem why I am not getting enough sleep. I normally dont have trouble falling asleep. The last 2 days I couldnt fall asleep and wake up every half an hour. I usually dont wake up after I fall asleep. I have been chain vaping while reading b4 sleeping. I probably chain vape too much b4 trying to getting some sleep.

Yes I have tried all 5 flavours alone. They're all good. All from the same brand but cola seems to be an older batch. Older bottle style if I buy again I will get their new bottle design.

I think I just found out I vaped too much b4 I go to sleep.

For my ni coild I get 0.19 to 0.20 ohms

I see you had stopped smoking for so long before using a 3mb liquid. May I ask why you didnt go Nic-free? Also can someone tell me if Nic-free produces more vape or less?

As for nic I was gonna go 0 mg nic but a friend of mine suggested that if I still have some cravings for smoke but having not smoked for so long just go with 3mg. Other wise that feeling of wanting to smoke will never go away with 0 nic.

From what I've been reading I dont think nic content will effect the vapour production.

Anyway after vaping on the same coil for a month I am not sure if it's time to change coils? I cant really seem to find the answer on when to change. At the moment the coil is still giving a good vape but muted flavour from time to time but becoming more and more frequent. Theres really no funny taste or burnt smell. Just less flavour.

Never had that problem with nic keeping me awake (heck I can drink 3-4 cups of coffee after I get home and go right to sleep). You seem to be sensitive to nic in that it's got you wired. The problem with vaping for some is there's no end to it...with an 'analog' it's over when it's a .... (unless you're a chain smoker).

Take it easy for awhile and see if can get your cycle back to normal. As for the juice, it's always a good idea to err on the side of caution. Dump the 'questionable' juice...

Less flavor and/or vapor production is usually a sign it's time to change the coil...but that's up to you.

Good luck and, once again, welcome.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I can't find any mention about the power you are vaping at. Or the strength of your cigarettes.
This would be relevant to bad sleeping from nic overdose.
2-4ml a day on paper is not a lot, but you said you have been quit for 18 months?

For power I am using tc mode at around 230-250C. Gets me most taste without the vape getting too warm. Nic content is 3mg. When I was smoking I smoke either Marlboro Black menthol or Ice blast.

I have been off cigs for 18months, but I still feel the urge to pick up cigs again about once or twice a month. It doesnt make it any easier to quit when my gf is a smoker. So I thought it would probably just try vaping insted of picking up smoking again.

On a side note I think this is a great forum. Everyone is trying to help others out.

Thanks a lot.

I'd invest in a zero nic liquid to vape later in the night. Maybe 2-3 hours before you go to bed. That way, you feel as if you're smoking, without that stimulate in your system. After 18 months, it can definitely give you all of the newer effects of nicotine (ie. rapid heart rate, dehydration, boosts of energy, ect)

Especially sub-ohming, it'll give you a higher deposit ration of nicotine to your system. Even at 3 mg, it can build up substantially.

As someone who's smoked cigs for the 2 out of three years of vaping, I can completely understand the craving. And the craving doesn't go away whether I vape zero or full nic liquid. It's just a craving that, at least for me, is always there. And something I just vape through. A warmer vape might do the trick to get that edge off, a bit more.

Lowering your temp might be a sign you'll need to change the coil. Normally, for me, I change coils about once a week. But I'm a snob when it comes to flavor. If the flavor is off by even just a hint, I change the coil. When I built my own coils, I'd rebuild at least once or twice a week.

I'd try changing the coil, and getting a zero nic liquid just for late at night. That way, you can rule those two out. Remember to stay hydrated, and when you feel your body tired, let your body rest. It doesn't have to be full sleep, but even just resting (without vaping) can help get your body in the mood for sleep.

I hope that helps!

I don't understand, if you were off cigs for 18 months why didn't you just buckle up and ride it through? In my opinion, vaping would not have been an option as you now seem to be vaping a lot more than you were smoking.

Long story short. Pretty much everyone around me smokes including my gf. I always had the urge to just pick up smoking again but I didnt want to. The other part of the reason is I wanted my gf to give up smoking as well. She has been putting it off so far so a friend of mine then suggested I try very low nic vaping or 0 nic. I know it might be hard to understand why I took up vaping. I realized I vape more than when I was smoking. You profile says you're located in Bangkok?
