Hey guys! I've been vaping since about December of last year. My current set up is an Evod V V battery, along with a couple Kangertech Miniprotank IIs. Started off as a smoking replacement as well as to mitigate stress and resist some other not-so-healthy methods of dealing with my stress. Not to well versed on all the different terms that go with vaping, like I'm unsure of the difference between PG and VG? Looks like a great community here and I'm sure I'll learn a lot!

Welcome! In regards to your question on PG and VG:
They're both liquids that generate vapor when heated and are used as the base for most e-liquids. Usually you'll find them in ratios (50%pg/50%vg, 70%pg/30%vg, etc). VG is thicker and generates much more vapor than PG, but it produces less flavor and less throat hit than PG. PG provides throat hit and better flavor reproduction, but doesn't make much vapor (and the throat hit is usually a little bit stronger than people like). It's up to you to find the right blend, and you can experiment with the different ratios.

Personally, 50/50 is a good place to start. It will flow easily in a tank and provides a good balance between all the attributes discussed above.

Welcome. This place is a fricken gold mine of information, and vaping has more terminology and lingo than the military (not really), so you're not the first one to wonder ... things mean when you read them.

As an addition to the spot on answer penmoid gave, higher percentages of PG result in an overall thinner liquid, which can sometimes cause leaking issues in some atomizers (Protank 2 for example, speaking from personal experience).

Thank you for the help guys! I know my dads protank had some issue with a liquid leaking, though we came to find out that it was the seal on his coil, not the liquid. I hadn't experienced it with that liquid since I kept that flavor in a cheap disposable tank. I think all the flavors I get are 50/50, but I never thought to ask. The guys at the store I frequent (right accross the street from my office and on my way home from school) have been helping me understand mods and stuff, the owner even taught me how to build coils. Once I finally get the cash to lay a down payment on a car I'm looking into starting a mod (likely won't happen till mid-summer), probably a Nemesis.
