Hey all! Names Jeff, been smoking analogs since i was 16 and im now 23. I know thats not very long but I came in from a smoke one day and my kid told me "daddy... you stink..." and for some reason that stuck... so I went out to my local smoke shop and grabbed a kanger knockoff (just found this out) EVOD twist 1300 MaH battery and what looks like a kanger evod tank... Have been analog free for a whole 8 days now but you know what? I feel great! I can actually take a deep breath now and my fiance(not a smoker if you couldnt tell) seems to kiss me a lot more now that I dont stink like an ashtray. Althought the battery is a knockoff it seems to last a long long time and produces plenty of vapor. Which makes me a whole lot more excited of the fact that I have purchased a Vision Spinner 2 from a trusted dealer according to visions website so I know I'm getting a genuine one, and on top of that I have made a purchase for a Kanger protank 3 to use with the VS2 WHICH IS BOTH GONNA BE HERE TOMORROW!!! So let me not ramble on just wanted to let you guys know a little bit about myself. If anybody has any pointers or tips please do not hesitate to let me know! Thanks and happy vaping!!:2cool::2cool:

Congrats and welcome!
I'm still fairly new to this myself and you've already skipped my biggest mistake (starting by spending way too much on crappy cig-a-likes). My tip would be to find ways to sample different flavors without going broke. Sample packs from different venders are a good way as are taste bars at good vape shops (i.e. - ones that don't use crappy clearos with burt wicks).

thanks fyre! but to be honest a few years back i had tried the cigalikes and it failed me completely... man what a waste of time that was... my local smoke shop only carries e liquid from "Smart Smokes" the watermelons pretty good but i just picked up some peach today and it wasnt bad. Cutting down on the nicotine though so im down to 11mg of nicotine. As for the sample packs and taste bars dont know where to go in Connecticut...

Read a lot here. I went from zero to reasonably knowledgeable in a month or two at ECF. But, be warned: the more you read here, the more money you want to spend!
Thanks man and i feel ya on the spending money... Dont have a lot of that laying around nowadays haha but whats your guys' thoughts on the vision spinner 2 and kanger protank 3??

Hiya Jkwan and welcome to the forum!

Congratulations on quitting!

The Spinner/Kanger setup is a nice starter kit! I'm sure you'll like it.

As said before, you may get tempted to step up to "better" and more expensive gear, but you don't really have to. As long as you're happy with what you are using and it's keeping you cigarette free, then it's perfect for you.

Here are some links to start you out:

1. New Members - "How many posts do I need to..."
2. How to do ECF - Avitar / Post Pictures / Signature
3. How to Add Images / Videos

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

Thanks so much for the help man! These things are definitely helping a lot with my cravings that gum just cant suffice... Heard a lot of good things about the VS2 and Protank 3 but have u had any first hand experience with either of these products? One of my concerns is the fact that ive run into a few posts about the VS2 having charging problems. Any thoughts on that?

OKC, OK
Going to have to agree with Elconquistador, this can get expensive quickly, still beats smoking. Get back-ups for everything. As for the VS2, shouldn't have any problems, I have one that still works, rarely used, have an istick instead. The VS2 wouldn't go all day for me ymmv. Never used the PT 3, only had the PT 1, then got an aerotank v1. It shouldn't be much different, same heads, but I don't use the dual coils, nothing wrong with them, but to easy to rebuild single coils instead.

You did fine. PT 3 is a dual coil and bit of a juice hog :) Try Vape Wild for juice that's good and economical.

The freedom from cigarettes is such an exiting thing, yours is almost contagious! Really refreshing. Congratulations to you and your family. You are hopefully going to get a lot of good suggestions (especially about hardware hopefully!) but mine is: get informed about how vaping is being affected is your local legislature and nationally. And checkout (join) CASAA. Just click on my signature. Congrats again!

ITCVAPES.com Check it out. Highly recommended on ECF.

I started vaping a month and a half ago. Started out with a Vision Spinner 2 and a Kangatech Mini Protank 3. Not a bad little setup!

Im now using a istick mod with an aspire nautilas mini. Haha for 1 complete e cig it cost twice as much as it did for 2 batteries and 2 tanks! Well worth the money spent though.

Does anyone else find it really hard to quit analogues when they start vaping?

Methinks you are highly motivated to stick to vaping and stay off the cigarettes.

Ok; pointers:
1: Hang on to your wallet.
2: Don't buy too much eliquids; your tastebuds are going to change.
3: Whatever else you might do, pick up simple rda and some 30 or 32 gauge kanthal resistance wire from your smoke shop.

The reasons for getting are rda are simplicity, durability and cost. Use it at home
