Just checked out the eGo. Has it performed well for you guys? Do you use ejuice with it? The price of it makes me feel so very very ripped off.

I know that there is a lot of information available and it can be overwhelming. eGo is a great ecig for the price. You do use ejuice with it. One battery can last 6+ hours, depending on how heavy your usage is. You can use cartridges or cartomizers with the eGo.. Regular 510 cartridges, atomizers and cartomizers work with the eGo. There are also mega carts and atomizers available. They last longer before you have to refill them, because they are larger. If you use carts, get a spare atomizer because that is usually what goes out first, they are considered semi-disposable.

If you decide to go with the eGo, just snag a starter kit, an extra atomizer (if you are going to use cartridges) and extra carts. Within a week or two of getting it you will be wanting to try out blue foam plugs and mega style carts and atomizers, LOL. Watch the supplier forums for sales.

It is a Long Totem I have a friend that sells these in the mall big waste of money they also lie to the people that are selling them saying that they are manufactured in the United States. This device is way over priced and is worthless compared to a 510 in my opinion. I fired off my 801 at the Kiosk a few times to show what a real PV can do. I suggest getting a eGo or Riva its a 3.7 device and way under the cost of the smoke free.

My eGo kicks some .... compared to my first kit. If you really want to get some vapor slap a low resistance atomizer on one. It will throw out some clouds of vapor. ego is what i recommend for a starter kit because of the battery life and also it has a big enough battery that if your not getting the vapor you want you can slap a LR atty on it and it will perform better. Bad thing about the LR atties is they have a shorter life span but the trade off is worth it for me anyways.

This may sound strange, but I'm glad that I'm being told that my ecig is useless.... makes me know that the parts are shoddy and it's not just me being a complete ..... on how to use it, lol.

I definitely will be looking into this joye or ego as an alternative. I wish I would have done more research before buying one, but I was so eager to try!

As of right now... atty status... one completely dead... and one that almost produces vapor half the time, lol...

I get so embarrassed having to keep exchanging them... don't know why, just shy by nature and it's easier for me to write my complaints than verbalize them.

So... to have to withstand another trip to the mall today, or just keep moaning, lol...

I had the same problem with another company and i saw the were just jerking me around, I got vicious. I told the manager that I was a member of this forum and everyother chat room, and site that had anything to do with ecigs, and I will post to everyone of them just what kind of service they have. Now if thats worth what little you took me for; then lets see how much my negative comments cost you. The following day I had my refund in my bank account, hope this works for you.

hey everyone! was out shopping yesterday... and yes ... one of the stops, the mall kiosk. :p

i complained about how i had just returned the atomizers on thursday and how one made this black burnt stuff fall out and how the other one was so poor in performance. the guy tested the 'good' one and was acting like nothing was wrong with it and just shrugged his shoulders at me... i basically gave him a 'really?' stare for about a minute and then finally he looked at my receipt and gave me two new atty's. i so thought that this time i would argue more, but i just backed out and shyed off.

i did buy a pack of cartomizers for emergencies.... going on a trip with hubby this weekend and if i run out of working vaping stuff and act all moody again... well... it just isn't a pretty site.... lol

Had another question... what type of eliquid does everyone use?

Right now I use vaporbomb 80%PG/20%VG. My current flavors are (in most used order): Peanut Butter Cookie, Caramel Candy, Bubblegum, Chocolate Cheesecake, Mudslide, and Cafe Mocha. The last three are quite dark and don't taste quite 'aged' yet I suppose.. is that how it works? Some juices need to settle for a few weeks? I last bought these all on August 11. But anyway, could any of these darker eliquids be making my ecig work poorly?

Thanks everyone :) You guys are an awesome bunch!

My old juice supplier i got a coffee from them. It for sure will clog up a atty with a quickness. You can even see it will leave gunk on the bridge. Not sure if it was just a mistake or what the deal is with it. I even ran it threw a coffee filter trying to get it to work without clogging my stuff up. Did not help a bit. I have also seen other people post about the darker juices will clog up their atomizers. So in light of that i think it is pretty safe to say that that can for sure affect the performance of your atomizer. Reading the atomizer care section of the forum a few clean there atomizers once every day once every two days to keep the gunk from building up. I know from cutting open my dead atomizers the coil was encased in a black shell of hard carbon. There are alot of pictures of people getting this same thing as i had. Most will agree that it will for sure kill a atomizer. I am working on how to stop it from building up in the first place. Will a better grade juice stop it from even happening or do we just have to keep the atomizers on a cleaning schedule when using the darker fluids. I am still testing but it seems like my new juice vendor liquid thats a higher quality is working better for me. Just over one week now and i have not had to clean my atomizers like i did with the other juice. Although the testing is still in progress with every day passing it seems to me that the quality of the liquid is making a difference in how well my atomizers are performing.

Those models should be kept horizontal and you aren't supposed to carry them assembled. I wouldn't give them another dime and slowly begin transferring over to a reputable product as you can. I went through about 3 unacceptable models till I found one that worked well for me.

Just consider you paid 400 to quit smoking. Lots of people spend way more than that on chantix, pills and patches and get no results at all, ya know? What you bought is worth about 5-6 cartons of analogs. See if you can make it last that long then get yourself an eGo :)

Exactly what happened to me. 2 Sets ($400 later) didn't like. Found this forum. Got an ego. Wow now enjoying!

You poor thing. I'm so sorry. I would contact the site and fire a nice few choice words their way and maybe a few nicely put threats in there too. $400 is just way too much. it makes my stomach turn. Heck it makes my stomach turn knowing I paid almost $100 for my 510 when on other trusted sites they go for $35! Still kick my self in the .... for that one. Good luck to you sweety and I hope things go better for you!

I can really understand the frustration you have. Especially after investing $400. Yikes!! I had a similar, but not quite so severe experience, in the frustration department. I can certainly understand how, after investing that much money, the tendency would be to "stick with it", and try to make what you have work. I know I would. The problem is that most of the e-cig devices sold in the smoke shops or kiosks, just aren't very good quality, and highly overpriced. I started out with what I later would discover was a DSE-901 purchased at my local smoke shop, and returned there for replacement cartridges, only to find out they didn't have replacement cartridges and were not able to subsequently get them in after giving them 2 weeks or more to do so. My e-cigarette adventure almost came to an end at that point as I began to suspect this was what I could expect from any e-cigs. My next route was the Blu Cig route, where I also invested more money than I should have into a product that just wasn't very good. I eventually got to a Joye 510 kit and for the first time began to have some hope that maybe I could find success with using e-cigs. Eventually, I found my way to a Joye eGo kit (Mega eGo, actually), and I couldn't be happier. Keep on your journey and you'll eventually discover what works for you also. Don't give up.

I would agree that if you can get your money back you should. One reference I saw listed it as a KR808A. There are bunches of good vendors that sell KR808D-1's. I don't know what the difference is. I think that a more standard model will make your life easier because you will have more choices in terms of vendors.

I'm in the same boat. Started with Safecig. Picked up Smoke Free at the mall. The cartomizers are interchangable on these. (I've got a Joye 510, but wife still likes the safecig. I've ordered her an auto 510 but...)

So, my question is do you all know ... Want to get the cartos cheaper (better) Is it a KR808A Cart I need? Or KR808D-1??? Or are they both the same???? Any others that will fit these batteries? Thanks!!! Sorry for rushing!!

Long before that Smoke Free Online page had fully loaded, I had that curious been there, done that feeling wash over me...

Just like you, I was a victim early on to that sort of exploitation--at the hands of opportunistic wolves that crouch around the perimeter, poised to take down and bloody whatever lambs they find straying too far from the protection of the herd. At $400, you must have been a particularly savory mouthful.

Oh, well...you're among friends now--the same ones without which I'd likely still be killing myself--and they've already given the best advise, and a gift eGo. Applying the same pricing scheme to that as the kiosk SOBs did with your 808 clone, that will be about a $1000 eGo. The value of the advise you've been given is inestimable.

I well remember the problems with atomizers that don't atomize, or did only when they felt like it. Part of the problem, of course, is that I wasn't taking care of them. There's plenty of instruction in here on how to go about that, but if you've got 10 minutes, this video was a lot of help to me:
YouTube - E-Cigarette Atomizer Maintenance

One other thing that helped me early on was to bypass the whole cart/carto thing and direct-drip. There's not much to know, hence this one is only a couple of minutes long:
YouTube - ECigarette Dripping 101 [www.puresmoker.com]

Thanks everyone for your replies. :)

It seems that the majority is having the best luck with the eGo. So I'll definitely be looking into that.

I know I've been offered a free ecig from the very generous lawnman, but for personal reasons
I had to decline. But again, I thought the offer was very sweet and thoughtful. :) Thanks again

My ecig is performing very well today, mind it's been less than 24 hours since I got my new atty, but it's just running perfectly and
it's very blissful. Fingers crossed that it stays that way for more than 3 days.

Morning all. :)

Had a quick question... earlier I said I use 80%PG/20%VG eliquid. I read somewhere that if you use more VG that it makes more vapor. That the taste goes down but loads more vapor and that it burns better at a lower temp. Is this right? Having loads of vapor is super important to me, and just wondering if I should try a 50/50 mix on my next order.

Thanks. :)

Wow... makes me glad Janty has exclusive sales in Korea... the eGo is amazing. The comment made earlier about quickly wanting to try blue foam mods, XL atties, etc is spot on... I've got a ton of kit now :p

Obviously I'd suggest the eGo next time you look to purchase, it's been great to me. I highly recommend getting the USB battery as well, for 30 USD it's well worth it. I'm going to pick up a spare cable (the one from my camera has the same jacks) so I can keep one at the house, one in the car (have the car adapter as well, they threw it in for free) and one at the office. The USB battery allows you to plug it in to your computer (or wall if you use the wall adapter, or car, etc) while vaping. Standard battery requires you to take off the battery and screw it into the charger.

A note on the atties, I burnt one out my first week. Found I was trying to chain vape it and never let it really cool down. Now, 3-4 good drags, let it cool down for a minute, couple more drags... haven't had any problems since. Since I love vaping so much I just carry two on my and alternate every few puffs. Check to see how many atties the starter kit comes with (mine came with a Janty, warranted, one and a Janty TAWA, no warranty, one), if you get 2 atties just grab a second cone and you have two PVs to use. You can use it without the cone as well, and I will take it off (or loosen) depending on the mood. Draw is lighter (easier to draw, little less vapor) without the cone on, but perfectly usable.

My battery, even the standard ones, have lasted me a day and a half... and I'm puffing constantly. With the USB battery it's almost always plugged in, but I'm good to go if I head to the pub after work. Of course, even that's not a problem as the pub owner is the guy that got me into vaping, so can just barrow a battery from him while he charges mine. :p

As for juice, I use FSUSA (FreedomSmokeUSA) right now, 80/20 mix with some 70/30 on the way (any day now...). Their customer service is great, flavor is good, liquid VERY clear. A convert uses VaporBomb, heard good things about them as well. I've also tried House of Vapor, I won't try them again... nasty juice.

Well.. guess I rambled enough... if you can't tell, I love vaping and love my eGo.
