Hi!

I'm 21 years old and I live in England, I have been smoking since 12 (I know very silly age) I've recently wanted to become very healthy and giving up smoking was one of the things I needed to do! I tried a tester e cig from my local shop and thought it was alright I then went onto vapourlites.com and bought a starter pack there, found this excellent and been really enjoying them dont even feel the need to smoke an analog at all! But the batterys on them arent great they run out way too fast and im quite a heavy smoker id say 20-30 on weekends and 20 on a weekend more than likely. So I've decided to want to turn to the mid size PV's but a little bit confused on all the gadgets for them!

I've been looking at getting an Ego Twist maybe 1 650 mAW and a 1000 mAW so I can have one abit smaller and one with longer durability, but I'm not sure what else to get with it? Been doing countless of research and sort of understands the basics, I basically want something that can hold the juice for a while (doing it the drip way could be good later on if I want to enhance the flavours etc) but at the start I would like to have like a tank but I hear some negative things about tanks a lot of maintenance and more expensive? Or cartridges? I'm not sure what to get and confused with a few things with the wicks and changing the atomizer and all that? Maybe a Nova tank might be good or a clearomizer so you can tell when the juice is about to finish?

If someone could help me out with all the technicality's with it all I would hugely appreciate it! Want to become a serious vapour I love the idea I love everything about it!!! Just want to understand it all :) My current e cig's are 16mg nicotine and create a nice throat hit but I want more and more flavours :D If someone could help out asap as I want to order my eGo Twist today if possible! :)

Sorry for the long post hope someone can help! Thanks!! :D

I have an eGo-C Twist 1000 mAh starter kit that I just purchased. I used to have this big, bulky mod that was just too much to take to work, so I went back to smoking for about 3 months. I got a cartotank and a Mini Vivi Nova to go with my new kit. I haven't even unwrapped the MVN yet because I'm enjoying the cartotank so much. Fair warning, there ARE some tanks/cartos that are too high resistance to be used with the eGo Twist. I'm not the most knowledgeable about the subject, so, hopefully a few vets will kick in their opinions.
But, I highly recommend the tanks. Drip atty's are good if you're trying a lot of flavors or if you don't mind dripping over an over, but they're not for me. I don't care for the taste they give off. I have a Smoktech EgO DCT ( SMOK TECH DUAL COILS TANK(DCT) ) that I got from the local vape shop where I bought my kit. I've been VERY happy with it.

Hi Craig,
A couple of ego twists would be a good choice. I'd suggest getting both some 2.0 ohm cartomizers and mini vivi novas - you can try both. There are other clearomizers too.
There is a list of UK vendors here with discount codes:
E-cigarette/E-liquid Vendors List + discount codes | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK
That was put together by Chrissy from the UK forum here.

Some UK members may come along to assist, or else once you have 5 posts in this forum you can post in the UK forum:
UK Forum

I've linked that as they know the best vendors to buy from.

Welcome to ECF

The ego twist or vision spinner are very good choices

I like both the Vision brand vivi nova's and the Kanger Protank and Evod (the Evod will fit the best on your ego style battery) all three have replacement heads available (which are also rebuildable once you upgrade to mods to see ohms and have short protection)

Here is a link to see the Evod

EVOD

hope this helps

Hello, and welcome to ECF! I love my 1000 Twist with a Kanger T3 (or brand new T3S) or a Kanger ProTank. Easy to fill and maintain (they both have replaceable heads), and you can see your juice level. I'm sure other folks will have different suggestions, but this is what works great for me on a daily basis.

Cheers, and happy vaping :toast::vapor:

For tanks, I would recommend a Viva Nova...make sure it's a Viva and not a knock off. They are very easy to use...not much fuss. They'll come with 3 heads for you to try out and see which you like best. A 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8 ohms. These really are good tanks for beginners and "oldies" alike. My husband and I have been vaping for about 70 days now...I have bought up all different kinds of different juice delivery devices and still to this day, the Viva Nova is all my husband uses.

You don't have to worry about Wicks and rebuilding and the like, if you don't want to. Where ever you buy your tanks/Clearos from, they should sell replacement heads..they are fairly cheap to buy. On the Nova...those heads can last you for a long time, if taken care of properly. Just take them apart and rinse in hot water and dry...each time you go to change juice flavors, or about every 3-4 tank fulls.

My recommendation is to experiment. Different strokes for different folks. Some prefer drip atomizers, some like clearos, some like cartos, and others like cartotanks. It's all in what you personally prefer. I'd say to get one of each if you can afford it, see which one you like the most, then buy a few replacements for when the ones you like most wear out. I pay between $2.50 and $3.00 for replacement attys/carts for my tanks. Drip attys and cartos are about the same where I live.

thanks for the fast replies guys! So to understand this on that EVOD websites it says atomizer head and clearomizer etc do you get a clearomizer and a couple of atty heads? how often do you need to replace the atty heads if thats possible? lol I'm looking at getting some mini nova tanks not sure on cartomizer because you cant see the juice so dont know how long till you have left? or are they best to go in a tank ? or is a tank actually a carto tank ? like the mini nova tanks how long would they generally last in vaping?

Well you mentioned the Nova, I love my mini vivi nova and here's why, maybe it will help you decide :)
Both the Top & Bottom are removable
The Drip Tip is interchangeable
The heads are replaceable, if one gets ruined you can just unscrew it & screw in another
Due to the above factor's they are VERY easy to fill & clean

Cartomizers used by themselves (I'll get to tanks in a minute). You can tell when they need refilling because the vapor drops off.
Cartomizers for tanks have holes punched in them - those sit inside the tank.

I haven't used an Evod, but have used plenty of vivi nova. You buy replacement heads. You can also clean the heads you use - washing under water and dryburning. I won't go into dry burning right now. Its not hard tho.

I really recommend you pick up a pack of cartomizers - they are great back ups and very handy to have. They usually come in 5 packs.
As to how long a mini vivi nova tank lasts - depends how much you vape.

I think you would be best to get some cartomizers, a mini vivi nova and and evod - try them out.

To answer you question about how long the Nova's last...it just depends. Like I was saying before, I have a LOT of different Clearos/tanks, so I switch between them all..but hubby only uses the 4-5 Nova tanks we have..he's been using them for 70+ days and his heads are still going strong...but that's with cleaning them often. He only uses the 2.8ohms when he Vapes...so between those 4 heads, they've lasted 70+ days.

right so I'm thinking of buying an ego twist starter kit that involves 2 batterys looking for 1000 mAW pack of cartomizers (do cartomizers come with juice in them at first?) a nova tank (not sure on mini or usually size yet) and maybe a couple of clearomizers to test it all out. I just wish there was a shop I can go in to ask I dont think theres any retail shops near to me sadly! :( It would be much easier to buy from shop rather than ordering online and having to wait so I have to be prepared for this (unlike smokes you can just pop into the shop and buy) Anyone know how much ego twist starter kits usually would cost? I dont mind spending abit at first but hopefully refilling stuff will end up being cheaper than smokes! :)

For an ego size a mini vivi nova is better, The big vivis are too big on ego twists.
Post once more then head to the UK forum - they will know the best vendor to get these things from. ;)

Its cheaper to fill your own cartomizers - which are usually sold blank. Cartomizers come in different resistances. 2.0 ohms will be the best option for you with ego twists.

A cartomizer hold about 1 ml of juice. A mini vivi nova holds 2.5 ml - so more than a cartomizer. That's one reason people like them.
Refilling stuff with your own ejuice is cheaper.

The EVOD units are great. They work very well and replacement heads are plentiful and cheap.

You'll change them weekly, more often with some juices than others. Seems the sweeter juices or naturally extracted tobacco juices clog the atomizer faster.

I order a bunch at once because they are so cheap.

If you get the twist batteries, you can use the 2.4 ohm heads, no problem.

Just remember to rinse the EVOD after every or every other tank full as the juice carmelizes and gunks up the atomizer. Some hot water will do the trick.

Good luck and happy vaping.

Actually I think the Spinner is a bit better - just posted a link to some Spinners. :)
