Hello, my name is John.
It has officially been one day since I touched a real ciggerette, so far so good.. Lol.
I came to this website as it seems most people understand situations on the road to quitting, or just vaping because it's safer than a 2000 chemical tobbaco treat. I plan on getting off smoking all together so I'm mentaly prepping myself for the big leap!
This community is filled with vast amounts of knowledge and experience and can see myself sticking around for a while. I will explore the forums for tips, but of you can share any right off the bat I would be greatful!

it is all about not taking that one and then going on to skip the next one.

And just remember that every cigarette you DONT smoke is a victory no matter how small.

The biggest difference between those who are successful in life and those who arent? Everyone falls.Successful people get right back up and keep trying sometimes over and over again until they "learn to walk"

my cuz said that when he started vaping that he fell off quite a few times, but you just have to get back on the saddle and deal with the bucking, you will get thrown every now and again, but pull your self up.
So....... I guess I am saying that it is great your vaping, but if you fall out and get a cig, get back to the vaping and not just give up on it.

Hello :) To me, vaping helps because it "feels" like I'm smoking but I'm not and I get my nicotine fix whenever I feel the urge to smoke. It's my 9th day of going without cigarettes. I was vaping and smoking during my first 2 weeks and noticed that I smoked a lot less because I was vaping a lot more.

Without forcing the issue, I started replacing my smokes with vapes. Like I started vaping with coffee instead of smoking. The hardest time I had was replacing the smoking while drinking beer or while drinking anything alcoholic. I did love my alcohol with my smokes.

But I just kept on without pressuring myself. The best advice I got from this forum was: if you smoke a cigarette, don't feel guilty, just keep vaping and accept what you're doing. It helps not to feel pressured and not to feel like every time you smoke, you failed to quit. That was a big deal to me.

Reading this forum on a daily basis is also a big deal. I have a virtual support group. People here encourage you along the way and give you tips on what might work but don't force solutions down your throat.
