Hello everyone... Just like the title says we are very new to vaping and are just looking to some more experienced members to tell us if we did well on our first order of supplies. So here's the list:

Hardware:
2 Kanger EVOD starter kits (black and stainless)
4 ProTank v2 II mini (2 grey 2 clear)
40 2.2 ohm replacement coils

ejuice:
Mt. Baker Vapors
30 mL USA Blend
15 mL Blueberry
15 mL Cafe Coffee
15 mL Chocolate Mint
15 mL Lemon Drop
15 mL Rum Tobacco
15 mL Spearmint
15 mL USA Menthol
15 mL Vanilla Tobacco
all 24mg nicotine strength

Extra juice
5 x 10 mL Bottles eLikWid grab bag (18 mg nicotine strength)

All came in for just a little over $200. Let us know how we did/what we should change in the future/suggestions to upgrade.

Thanks everyone!

Those are great kits to start with and the mini protanks are very good. Great to have extra coils too. If you are so inclined as you get more experience, save all the coils you replace. You can rebuild them yourself and you won't have to continue to buy them.

I can't comment on the juice selection as I've never used that brand but they do have a very good reputation. Starting with 24mg is good if you were both heavy smokers.

Looks like a great start!!! Good luck!

Come back and ask questions if you have any problems...there are lots of folks here to help! Welcome to the forum!!

It looks like you guys did quite well:) Congrats on taking the first step!

My recommendation would be to see if there are any vape shops near you that you can sample & purchase juice from or to check out a few more websites for juice that you think you might like. I only say this because in my experience many of mt baker juices require a week or more to steep. Especially more complex flavors. If you find you don't like them right away don't let that scare you off. Give the flavors some time to blend together properly. Single flavor vapes like strawberry, peach or pineapple tend to need less steep time. If you are able to find a nearby vape shop many allow you to not only sample juice but often times the juice is already steeped & ready to vape right away.

Eventually I'd also get more tanks. You may find that you want to switch up flavors more often than you think. Also, tobacco & menthol flavors tend to stick with the tank making it easier to just have dedicated tanks for those types of vapes.

Do the starter kits have one or two batteries each? It's important that you each have a backup battery, and I'd suggest a spare charger.

Please do not throw out spent heads. As mentioned above, you might decide to rebuild them down the road, and you'd be kicking yourself if you threw out 40 heads.

Looks like you did pretty good!

Looks good! Never used the evods but from all I hear they're a great starting point. The mini PT's are nice... JUST DON'T LOSE THOSE LITTLE WASHERS on the top and bottom of the glass when you take them apart. Seriously... pay attention to this! You bought a ton of heads, which is great, but if you lose one of those tiny washers, your unit is unusable. (you can buy the washers separately but what a pain to be without them if you lose them... and they do magically disappear if you're not careful).

As to the juices, I think MBV has some good stuff. The tobacco flavors, from my experience, need a LOT of steeping... like 3 or 4 weeks - though I've only bought the 555 and East Coast Tobacco.

Anyway, wish I'd started out with such a good setup. Good luck and keep us posted on your experiences!

Thanks for the replies guys!

SMP, we went with the higher nicotine load as we are both heavy hookah smokers and smoke very strong tobacco from them. Just can't seem to kick the death sticks when out and about.

Chimney unfortunately we don't have a vape store near us other than local gas stations that happen to sell some liquids. We did read that some of the Mt Baker liquids take some time to develop, so we are prepared for that. Also most of our hookah tobacco needs to be acclimated when we get it as well. Doesn't usually take a week but I'm sure we can manage it. We also each received two EVOD tanks with the starter kits which will most likely be used for flavors that have a tendency to ghost. We got the minis for known tank cracker flavors. As we progress I'm sure we'll be adding more pyrex tanks.

Sed, each kit comes with two batteries so we should be set there. Will most likely be adding extra chargers in the near future for travel purposes.

Glad to hear that the consensus seems to be that we did okay!

Excellent starter kits. Like the posts before mine, I'd suggest you each get a spare battery. Stay stocked on juice as well. You don't want an excuse to buy a pack of smokes. In the future I'd look into rebuilding the protank heads, its really easy, and getting a vv/vw device. For now, find what works and stick to it. No sense in catching the itis (shiny-itis) faster than need be. :D

Been there done that with hookahs. I had 7 rigs and my wife had 5 for a long time! We've managed to pare down from there to 2 great all arounders. Trying to avoid that with vaping. Start with simple, quality gear and slowly upgrade from there.

With those batteries an 1.8 ohm coil will give better flavor and vaper. Other than that welcome to the forum. Happy vaping!

Thanks for that man. I'd thought about going with a lower ohm coil but thought we'd try the 2.5 that comes in the kit and then drop to the lower 2.2 to see how that works for us. Knew a lower ohm coil would give us a better vape but once again taking it slow.
